Psalms 28

داؤد کا زبور۔ اے رب، مَیں تجھے پکارتا ہوں۔ اے میری چٹان، خاموشی سے اپنا منہ مجھ سے نہ پھیر۔ کیونکہ اگر تُو چپ رہے تو مَیں موت کے گڑھے میں اُترنے والوں کی مانند ہو جاؤں گا۔

Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

میری التجائیں سن جب مَیں چیختے چلّاتے تجھ سے مدد مانگتا ہوں، جب مَیں اپنے ہاتھ تیری سکونت گاہ کے مُقدّس ترین کمرے کی طرف اُٹھاتا ہوں۔

Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

مجھے اُن بےدینوں کے ساتھ گھسیٹ کر سزا نہ دے جو غلط کام کرتے ہیں، جو اپنے پڑوسیوں سے بظاہر دوستانہ باتیں کرتے، لیکن دل میں اُن کے خلاف بُرے منصوبے باندھتے ہیں۔

Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

اُنہیں اُن کی حرکتوں اور بُرے کاموں کا بدلہ دے۔ جو کچھ اُن کے ہاتھوں سے سرزد ہوا ہے اُس کی پوری سزا دے۔ اُنہیں اُتنا ہی نقصان پہنچا دے جتنا اُنہوں نے دوسروں کو پہنچایا ہے۔

Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

کیونکہ نہ وہ رب کے اعمال پر، نہ اُس کے ہاتھوں کے کام پر توجہ دیتے ہیں۔ اللہ اُنہیں ڈھا دے گا اور دوبارہ کبھی تعمیر نہیں کرے گا۔

Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

رب کی تمجید ہو، کیونکہ اُس نے میری التجا سن لی۔

Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

رب میری قوت اور میری ڈھال ہے۔ اُس پر میرے دل نے بھروسا رکھا، اُس سے مجھے مدد ملی ہے۔ میرا دل شادیانہ بجاتا ہے، مَیں گیت گا کر اُس کی ستائش کرتا ہوں۔

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

رب اپنی قوم کی قوت اور اپنے مسح کئے ہوئے خادم کا نجات بخش قلعہ ہے۔

The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

اے رب، اپنی قوم کو نجات دے! اپنی میراث کو برکت دے! اُن کی گلہ بانی کر کے اُنہیں ہمیشہ تک اُٹھائے رکھ۔

Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
