Deuteronomy 30

مَیں نے تجھے بتایا ہے کہ تیرے لئے کیا کچھ برکت کا اور کیا کچھ لعنت کا باعث ہے۔ جب رب تیرا خدا تجھے تیری غلط حرکتوں کے سبب سے مختلف قوموں میں منتشر کر دے گا تو تُو میری باتیں مان جائے گا۔

And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,

تب تُو اور تیری اولاد رب اپنے خدا کے پاس واپس آئیں گے اور پورے دل و جان سے اُس کی سن کر اُن تمام احکام پر عمل کریں گے جو مَیں آج تجھے دے رہا ہوں۔

And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

پھر رب تیرا خدا تجھے بحال کرے گا اور تجھ پر رحم کر کے تجھے اُن تمام قوموں سے نکال کر جمع کرے گا جن میں اُس نے تجھے منتشر کر دیا تھا۔

That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

ہاں، رب تیرا خدا تجھے ہر جگہ سے جمع کر کے واپس لائے گا، چاہے تُو سب سے دُور ملک میں کیوں نہ پڑا ہو۔

If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

وہ تجھے تیرے باپ دادا کے ملک میں لائے گا، اور تُو اُس پر قبضہ کرے گا۔ پھر وہ تجھے تیرے باپ دادا سے زیادہ کامیابی بخشے گا، اور تیری تعداد زیادہ بڑھائے گا۔

And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

ختنہ رب کی قوم کا ظاہری نشان ہے۔ لیکن اُس وقت رب تیرا خدا تیرے اور تیری اولاد کا باطنی ختنہ کرے گا تاکہ تُو اُسے پورے دل و جان سے پیار کرے اور جیتا رہے۔

And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

جو لعنتیں رب تیرا خدا تجھ پر لایا تھا اُنہیں وہ اب تیرے دشمنوں پر آنے دے گا، اُن پر جو تجھ سے نفرت رکھتے اور تجھے ایذا پہنچاتے ہیں۔

And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

کیونکہ تُو دوبارہ رب کی سنے گا اور اُس کے تمام احکام کی پیروی کرے گا جو مَیں تجھے آج دے رہا ہوں۔

And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.

جو کچھ بھی تُو کرے گا اُس میں رب تجھے بڑی کامیابی بخشے گا، اور تجھے کثرت کی اولاد، مویشی اور فصلیں حاصل ہوں گی۔ کیونکہ جس طرح وہ تیرے باپ دادا کو کامیابی دینے میں خوشی محسوس کرتا تھا اُسی طرح وہ تجھے بھی کامیابی دینے میں خوشی محسوس کرے گا۔

And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

شرط صرف یہ ہے کہ تُو رب اپنے خدا کی سنے، شریعت میں درج اُس کے احکام پر عمل کرے اور پورے دل و جان سے اُس کی طرف رجوع لائے۔

If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

جو احکام مَیں آج تجھے دے رہا ہوں نہ وہ حد سے زیادہ مشکل ہیں، نہ تیری پہنچ سے باہر۔

For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.

وہ آسمان پر نہیں ہیں کہ تُو کہے، ’کون آسمان پر چڑھ کر ہمارے لئے یہ احکام نیچے لے آئے تاکہ ہم اُنہیں سن سکیں اور اُن پر عمل کر سکیں؟‘

It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

وہ سمندر کے پار بھی نہیں ہیں کہ تُو کہے، ’کون سمندر کو پار کر کے ہمارے لئے یہ احکام لائے گا تاکہ ہم اُنہیں سن سکیں اور اُن پر عمل کر سکیں؟‘

Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

کیونکہ یہ کلام تیرے نہایت قریب بلکہ تیرے منہ اور دل میں موجود ہے۔ چنانچہ اُس پر عمل کرنے میں کوئی بھی رکاوٹ نہیں ہے۔

But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

دیکھ، آج مَیں تجھے دو راستے پیش کرتا ہوں۔ ایک زندگی اور خوش حالی کی طرف لے جاتا ہے جبکہ دوسرا موت اور ہلاکت کی طرف۔

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

آج مَیں تجھے حکم دیتا ہوں کہ رب اپنے خدا کو پیار کر، اُس کی راہوں پر چل اور اُس کے احکام کے تابع رہ۔ پھر تُو زندہ رہ کر ترقی کرے گا، اور رب تیرا خدا تجھے اُس ملک میں برکت دے گا جس میں تُو داخل ہونے والا ہے۔

In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

لیکن اگر تیرا دل اِس راستے سے ہٹ کر نافرمانی کرے تو برکت کی توقع نہ کر۔ اگر تُو آزمائش میں پڑ کر دیگر معبودوں کو سجدہ اور اُن کی خدمت کرے

But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

تو تم ضرور تباہ ہو جاؤ گے۔ آج مَیں اعلان کرتا ہوں کہ اِس صورت میں تم زیادہ دیر اُس ملک میں آباد نہیں رہو گے جس میں تُو دریائے یردن کو پار کر کے داخل ہو گا تاکہ اُس پر قبضہ کرے۔

I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

آج آسمان اور زمین تمہارے خلاف میرے گواہ ہیں کہ مَیں نے تمہیں زندگی اور برکتوں کا راستہ اور موت اور لعنتوں کا راستہ پیش کیا ہے۔ اب زندگی کا راستہ اختیار کر تاکہ تُو اور تیری اولاد زندہ رہے۔

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

رب اپنے خدا کو پیار کر، اُس کی سن اور اُس سے لپٹا رہ۔ کیونکہ وہی تیری زندگی ہے اور وہی کرے گا کہ تُو دیر تک اُس ملک میں جیتا رہے گا جس کا وعدہ اُس نے قَسم کھا کر تیرے باپ دادا ابراہیم، اسحاق اور یعقوب سے کیا تھا۔“

That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
