Micah 3

And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?

مَیں بولا، ”اے یعقوب کے راہنماؤ، اے اسرائیل کے بزرگو، سنو! تمہیں انصاف کو جاننا چاہئے۔

Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

لیکن جو اچھا ہے اُس سے تم نفرت کرتے اور جو غلط ہے اُسے پیار کرتے ہو۔ تم میری قوم کی کھال اُتار کر اُس کا گوشت ہڈیوں سے جدا کر لیتے ہو۔

Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

کیونکہ تم میری قوم کا گوشت کھا لیتے ہو۔ اُن کی کھال اُتار کر تم اُن کی ہڈیوں اور گوشت کو ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر کے دیگ میں پھینک دیتے ہو۔“

Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

تب وہ چلّا کر رب سے التجا کریں گے، لیکن وہ اُن کی نہیں سنے گا۔ اُن کے غلط کاموں کے سبب سے وہ اپنا چہرہ اُن سے چھپا لے گا۔

Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”اے نبیو، تم میری قوم کو بھٹکا رہے ہو۔ اگر تمہیں کچھ کھلایا جائے تو تم اعلان کرتے ہو کہ امن و امان ہو گا۔ لیکن جو تمہیں کچھ نہ کھلائے اُس پر تم جہاد کا فتویٰ دیتے ہو۔

Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.

چنانچہ تم پر ایسی رات چھا جائے گی جس میں تم رویا نہیں دیکھو گے، ایسی تاریکی جس میں تمہیں مستقبل کے بارے میں کوئی بھی بات نہیں ملے گی۔ نبیوں پر سورج ڈوب جائے گا، اُن کے چاروں طرف اندھیرا ہی اندھیرا چھا جائے گا۔

Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.

تب رویا دیکھنے والے شرم سار اور قسمت کا حال بتانے والے شرمندہ ہو جائیں گے۔ شرم کے مارے وہ اپنے منہ کو چھپا لیں گے ، کیونکہ اللہ سے کوئی بھی جواب نہیں ملے گا۔“

But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

لیکن مَیں خود قوت سے، رب کے روح سے اور انصاف اور طاقت سے بھرا ہوا ہوں تاکہ یعقوب کی اولاد کو اُس کے جرائم اور اسرائیل کو اُس کے گناہ سنا سکوں۔

Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.

اے یعقوب کے راہنماؤ، اے اسرائیل کے بزرگو، سنو! تم انصاف سے گھن کھا کر ہر سیدھی بات کو ٹیڑھی بنا لیتے ہو۔

They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

تم صیون کو خوں ریزی سے اور یروشلم کو ناانصافی سے تعمیر کر رہے ہو۔

The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.

یروشلم کے بزرگ عدالت کرتے وقت رشوت لیتے ہیں۔ اُس کے امام تعلیم دیتے ہیں لیکن صرف کچھ ملنے کے لئے۔ اُس کے نبی پیش گوئی سنا دیتے ہیں لیکن صرف پیسوں کے معاوضے میں۔ تاہم یہ لوگ رب پر انحصار کر کے کہتے ہیں، ”ہم پر آفت آ ہی نہیں سکتی، کیونکہ رب ہمارے درمیان ہے۔“

Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

تمہاری وجہ سے صیون پر ہل چلایا جائے گا اور یروشلم ملبے کا ڈھیر بن جائے گا۔ جس پہاڑ پر رب کا گھر ہے اُس پر جنگل چھا جائے گا۔
