Jeremiah 43

And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words,

یرمیاہ خاموش ہوا۔ جو کچھ بھی رب اُن کے خدا نے یرمیاہ کو اُنہیں سنانے کو کہا تھا اُسے اُس نے اُن سب تک پہنچایا تھا۔

Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:

پھر عزریاہ بن ہوسعیاہ، یوحنان بن اخی قام اور تمام بدتمیز آدمی بول اُٹھے، ”تم جھوٹ بول رہے ہو! رب ہمارے خدا نے تمہیں یہ سنانے کو نہیں بھیجا کہ مصر کو نہ جاؤ، نہ وہاں آباد ہو جاؤ۔

But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.

اِس کے پیچھے باروک بن نیریاہ کا ہاتھ ہے۔ وہی تمہیں ہمارے خلاف اُکسا رہا ہے، کیونکہ وہ چاہتا ہے کہ ہم بابلیوں کے ہاتھ میں آ جائیں تاکہ وہ ہمیں قتل کریں یا جلاوطن کر کے ملکِ بابل لے جائیں۔“

So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.

ایسی باتیں کرتے کرتے یوحنان بن قریح، دیگر فوجی افسروں اور باقی تمام لوگوں نے رب کا حکم رد کیا۔ وہ ملکِ یہوداہ میں نہ رہے

But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah;

بلکہ سب یوحنان اور باقی تمام فوجی افسروں کی راہنمائی میں مصر چلے گئے۔ اُن میں یہوداہ کے وہ بچے ہوئے سب لوگ شامل تھے جو پہلے مختلف ممالک میں منتشر ہوئے تھے، لیکن اب یہوداہ میں دوبارہ آباد ہونے کے لئے واپس آئے تھے۔

Even men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters, and every person that Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.

وہ تمام مرد، عورتیں اور بچے بادشاہ کی بیٹیوں سمیت بھی اُن میں شامل تھے جنہیں شاہی محافظوں کے سردار نبوزرادان نے جِدلیاہ بن اخی قام کے سپرد کیا تھا۔ یرمیاہ نبی اور باروک بن نیریاہ کو بھی ساتھ جانا پڑا۔

So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.

یوں وہ رب کی ہدایت رد کر کے روانہ ہوئے اور چلتے چلتے مصری سرحد کے شہر تحفن حیس تک پہنچے۔

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,

تحفن حیس میں رب کا کلام یرمیاہ پر نازل ہوا،

Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;

”اپنے ہم وطنوں کی موجودگی میں چند ایک بڑے پتھر فرعون کے محل کے دروازے کے قریب لے جا کر فرش کی کچی اینٹوں کے نیچے دبا دے۔

And say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.

پھر اُنہیں بتا دے، ’رب الافواج جو اسرائیل کا خدا ہے فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں اپنے خادم شاہِ بابل نبوکدنضر کو بُلا کر یہاں لاؤں گا اور اُس کا تخت اُن پتھروں کے اوپر کھڑا کروں گا جو مَیں نے یرمیاہ کے ذریعے دبائے ہیں۔ نبوکدنضر اُن ہی کے اوپر اپنا شاہی تنبو لگائے گا۔

And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword.

کیونکہ وہ آئے گا اور مصر پر حملہ کر کے ہر ایک کے ساتھ وہ کچھ کرے گا جو اُس کے نصیب میں ہے۔ ایک مر جائے گا، دوسرا قید میں جائے گا اور تیسرا تلوار کی زد میں آئے گا۔

And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.

نبوکدنضر مصری دیوتاؤں کے مندروں کو جلا کر راکھ کر دے گا اور اُن کے بُتوں پر قبضہ کر کے اُنہیں اپنے ساتھ لے جائے گا۔ جس طرح چرواہا اپنے کپڑے سے جوئیں نکال نکال کر اُسے صاف کر لیتا ہے اُسی طرح شاہِ بابل مصر کو مال و متاع سے صاف کرے گا۔ مصر آتے وقت وہ سورج دیوتا کے مندر میں جا کر اُس کے ستونوں کو ڈھا دے گا اور باقی مصری دیوتاؤں کے مندر بھی نذرِ آتش کرے گا۔ پھر شاہِ بابل صحیح سلامت وہاں سے واپس چلا جائے گا‘۔“

He shall break also the images of Beth–shemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire.

نبوکدنضر مصری دیوتاؤں کے مندروں کو جلا کر راکھ کر دے گا اور اُن کے بُتوں پر قبضہ کر کے اُنہیں اپنے ساتھ لے جائے گا۔ جس طرح چرواہا اپنے کپڑے سے جوئیں نکال نکال کر اُسے صاف کر لیتا ہے اُسی طرح شاہِ بابل مصر کو مال و متاع سے صاف کرے گا۔ مصر آتے وقت وہ سورج دیوتا کے مندر میں جا کر اُس کے ستونوں کو ڈھا دے گا اور باقی مصری دیوتاؤں کے مندر بھی نذرِ آتش کرے گا۔ پھر شاہِ بابل صحیح سلامت وہاں سے واپس چلا جائے گا‘۔“
