Isaiah 55

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

He! ihr Durstigen alle, kommet zu den Wassern; und die ihr kein Geld habt, kommet, kaufet ein und esset! Ja, kommet, kaufet ohne Geld und ohne Kaufpreis Wein und Milch!

Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Warum wäget ihr Geld dar für das, was nicht Brot ist, und euren Erwerb für das, was nicht sättigt? Höret doch auf mich und esset das Gute, und eure Seele labe sich an Fettem!

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Neiget euer Ohr und kommet zu mir; höret, und eure Seele wird leben. Und ich will einen ewigen Bund mit euch schließen: die gewissen Gnaden Davids. -

Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

Siehe, ich habe ihn zu einem Zeugen für Völkerschaften gesetzt, zum Fürsten und Gebieter von Völkerschaften.

Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

Siehe, du wirst eine Nation herbeirufen, die du nicht kanntest; und eine Nation, die dich nicht kannte, wird dir zulaufen, um Jehovas willen, deines Gottes, und wegen des Heiligen Israels; denn er hat dich herrlich gemacht.

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Suchet Jehova, während er sich finden läßt; rufet ihn an, während er nahe ist.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Der Gesetzlose verlasse seinen Weg und der Mann des Frevels seine Gedanken; und er kehre um zu Jehova, so wird er sich seiner erbarmen, und zu unserem Gott, denn er ist reich an Vergebung.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

Denn meine Gedanken sind nicht eure Gedanken, und eure Wege sind nicht meine Wege, spricht Jehova.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Denn wie der Himmel höher ist als die Erde, so sind meine Wege höher als eure Wege und meine Gedanken als eure Gedanken.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

Denn gleichwie der Regen und der Schnee vom Himmel herabfällt und nicht dahin zurückkehrt, er habe denn die Erde getränkt und befruchtet und sie sprossen gemacht, und dem Säemann Samen gegeben und Brot dem Essenden:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

also wird mein Wort sein, das aus meinem Munde hervorgeht; es wird nicht leer zu mir zurückkehren, sondern es wird ausrichten, was mir gefällt, und durchführen, wozu ich es gesandt habe.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Denn in Freuden werdet ihr ausziehen und in Frieden geleitet werden; die Berge und die Hügel werden vor euch in Jubel ausbrechen, und alle Bäume des Feldes werden in die Hände klatschen;

Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

statt der Dornsträucher werden Cypressen aufschießen, und statt der Brennesseln werden Myrten aufschießen. Und es wird Jehova zum Ruhme, zu einem ewigen Denkzeichen sein, das nicht ausgerottet wird.
