Jeremiah 22

Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,

Така каза ГОСПОД: Слез в къщата на юдовия цар и говори там това слово!

And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:

И кажи: Слушай словото на ГОСПОДА, царю на Юда, който седиш на престола на Давид; ти и слугите ти, и народът ти, които влизате през тези порти!

Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

Така казва ГОСПОД: Вършете правосъдие и правда и освобождавайте обрания от ръката на насилника! Не потискайте и не насилвайте чужденеца, сирачето и вдовицата и невинна кръв не проливайте на това място!

For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.

Защото, ако наистина вършите това слово, тогава през портите на този дом ще влизат царе, седящи на престола на Давид, возени на колесници и яздещи на коне — той и слугите му, и народът му.

But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.

Но ако не послушате тези думи, в Себе Си се заклех, заявява ГОСПОД, че този дом ще запустее.

For thus saith the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.

Защото така казва ГОСПОД за дома на юдовия цар: Ти си за Мен Галаад и ливански връх; но непременно ще те направя пустиня, ненаселени градове!

And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.

Ще приготвя против теб унищожители, всеки с оръжията му, и ще изсекат избраните ти кедри и ще ги хвърлят в огъня.

And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city?

И много народи ще минават покрай този град и ще си казват един на друг: Защо ГОСПОД направи така на този голям град?

Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.

И ще казват: Понеже оставиха завета на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, и се поклониха на други богове и им служиха.

Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: but weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.

Не плачете за умрелия и не го оплаквайте, а плачете горчиво за онзи, който отива, защото няма да се върне вече и няма да види родната си земя.

For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:

Защото така казва ГОСПОД за юдовия цар Селум, сина на Йосия, който царува вместо баща си Йосия, и който излезе от това място: Няма вече да се върне тук,

But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.

а на мястото, където го откараха в плен, там ще умре, и няма вече да види тази земя.

Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;

Горко на онзи, който строи къщата си с неправда и горните си стаи — с несправедливост; който кара ближния си да му работи напразно и не му дава заплатата му;

That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.

който си казва: Ще си построя обширна къща и широки горни стаи! — отваря си прозорци и я покрива с кедър и я боядисва в червено.

Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?

Ще царуваш ли, понеже се обграждаш с кедри? Баща ти не ядеше ли и не пиеше ли? Но вършеше правосъдие и правда — тогава благоденстваше.

He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the LORD.

Отсъждаше делото на сиромаха и бедния — тогава беше добре. Не е ли това да познава Мен? — заявява ГОСПОД.

But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.

А твоите очи и твоето сърце не са насочени към нищо друго освен към печалбата ти и към проливане на невинна кръв, и към вършене на насилие и потисничество.

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!

Затова, така казва ГОСПОД за юдовия цар Йоаким, сина на Йосия: Няма да го оплакват: Горко, брате мой, и горко, сестро! Няма да го оплакват: Горко, господарю, и горко, негово величество!

He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.

С магарешко погребение ще бъде погребан — извлечен и изхвърлен извън ерусалимските порти.

Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from the passages: for all thy lovers are destroyed.

Изкачи се на Ливан и извикай, надай глас на Васан и извикай от Аварим, защото всичките ти любовници загинаха.

I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.

Говорих ти в благоденствието ти; ти каза: Няма да слушам! Такъв беше пътят ти от младостта ти, че не слушаше гласа Ми.

The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.

Вятърът ще опасе всичките ти пастири и любовниците ти ще отидат в плен; да, тогава ще се посрамиш и опозориш заради цялата си злина.

O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!

Ти, която населяваш Ливан и виеш гнездото си в кедрите, колко окаяна ще бъдеш, когато ти дойдат мъките, болки като на родилка!

As I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;

Жив съм Аз, заявява ГОСПОД, че и да беше юдовият цар Йехония, синът на Йоаким пръстен с печат на дясната Ми ръка, и оттам бих те откъснал!

And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.

И ще те предам в ръката на онези, които търсят да отнемат живота ти, и в ръката на онези, от които се боиш, и в ръката на вавилонския цар Навуходоносор, и в ръката на халдейците.

And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.

Ще отхвърля теб и майка ти, която те е родила, в друга земя, където не сте родени, и там ще умрете.

But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return.

А в земята, в която душата им копнее да се върне, там няма да се върнат.

Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?

Строшен и презрян глинен съд ли е този мъж Йехония, или съд, който не се харесва? Защо бяха отхвърлени той и потомството му и захвърлени в земя, която не познават?

O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

Земьо, земьо, земьо, слушай словото на ГОСПОДА!

Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.

Така казва ГОСПОД: Пишете този човек бездетен, мъж, който няма да благоуспее в дните си; защото от потомството му няма да благоуспее никой, който да седи на престола на Давид и да властва още над Юда.
