Ezekiel 14

Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.

И дойдоха при мен някои от израилевите старейшини и седнаха пред мен.

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

И ГОСПОДНОТО слово беше към мен и каза:

Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?

Сине човешки, тези мъже поставиха идолите си в сърцата си и сложиха препънката на беззаконието си пред лицата си; бива ли да се оставя да се допитват до Мен?

Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;

Затова им говори и им кажи: Така казва Господ БОГ: На всекиго от израилевия дом, който постави идолите си в сърцето си и сложи препънката на беззаконието си пред лицето си, и дойде при пророка, Аз, ГОСПОД, ще му отговоря — на този, който идва с многото си идоли —

That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.

за да хвана израилевия дом за сърцето им, защото те всички се отчуждиха от Мен чрез идолите си.

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

Затова кажи на израилевия дом: Така казва Господ БОГ: Обърнете се, обърнете се от идолите си, и от всичките си гнусотии отвърнете лицата си!

For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:

Защото на всекиго от израилевия дом или от чужденците, които пребивават в Израил, който се отчужди от Мен, като постави идолите си в сърцето си и сложи препънката на беззаконието си пред лицето си, и дойде при пророка, за да се допита за себе си до Мен, Аз, ГОСПОД, ще му отговоря от Себе Си.

And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

И ще насоча лицето Си против този човек и ще го направя за белег и за поговорки, и ще го отсека отсред народа Си, и ще познаете, че Аз съм ГОСПОД.

And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

И ако пророкът се подмами да проговори слово, Аз, ГОСПОД, съм подмамил този пророк; и ще простра ръката Си против него и ще го изтребя отсред народа Си Израил.

And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;

И ще понесат беззаконието си — като беззаконието на онзи, който се допитва, ще бъде беззаконието на пророка —

That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord GOD.

за да не се отклонява вече израилевият дом отслед Мен и да не се оскверняват вече с всичките си престъпления. И ще ми бъдат народ и Аз ще им бъда Бог, заявява Господ БОГ.

The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,

И ГОСПОДНОТО слово беше към мен и каза:

Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

Сине човешки, ако някоя страна съгреши против Мен с невярност и Аз простра ръката Си против нея, и й строша подпорката от хляба и пратя глад върху нея, и изтребя от нея човек и животно,

Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.

и ако тези трима мъже, Ной, Даниил и Йов, бяха сред нея, чрез правдата си те щяха да избавят само своите души, заявява Господ БОГ.

If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:

Ако докарам зли зверове в земята и те я обезлюдят, и стане пустош, в която никой не минава заради зверовете,

Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate.

и ако тези трима мъже бяха сред нея — жив съм Аз, заявява Господ БОГ — нито синове, нито дъщери щяха да избавят, само те самите щяха да се избавят, а земята да стане пустош.

Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:

Или ако докарам меч върху онази земя и кажа: Меч, мини през земята! — и изтребя от нея човек и животно,

Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves.

и ако тези трима мъже бяха сред нея — жив съм Аз, заявява Господ БОГ — нямаше да избавят синове и дъщери, а само те самите щяха да се избавят.

Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:

Или ако изпратя мор върху онази земя и излея яростта Си върху нея с кръв, и изтребя от нея човек и животно,

Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

и ако Ной, Даниил и Йов бяха сред нея — жив съм Аз, заявява Господ БОГ — нито син, нито дъщеря щяха да избавят; чрез правдата си те щяха да избавят само своите души.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?

Защото, така казва Господ БОГ: Колко повече, когато изпратя четирите Си тежки присъди — меч и глад, и зли зверове, и мор — върху Ерусалим, за да изтребя от него човек и животно!

Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.

Но ето, ще останат в него оцелели, които ще бъдат изведени, синове и дъщери; ето, те ще излязат при вас и ще видите пътя им и делата им; и ще се утешите за злото, което докарах върху Ерусалим, за всичко, което докарах върху него.

And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord GOD.

И ще ви утешат, когато видите пътя им и делата им; и ще познаете, че Аз не без причина направих всичко, което му направих, заявява Господ БОГ.
