Deuteronomy 13

If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

Ако се издигне сред теб пророк или съновидец и ти даде знамение или чудо,

And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

и знамението или чудото се сбъдне, за което той ти говори и казва: Да идем след други богове — които ти не си знаел — и да им служим! —

Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

да не слушаш думите на този пророк или на този съновидец; защото ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, ви изпитва, за да познае дали любите ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, с цялото си сърце и с цялата си душа.

Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, да следвате и от Него да се боите, да пазите заповедите Му и да слушате гласа Му, на Него да служите и към Него да се привързвате.

And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

А онзи пророк или онзи съновидец да се умъртви, защото е говорил отстъпление от ГОСПОДА, вашия Бог — който ви изведе от египетската земя и ви изкупи от дома на робството — за да те отклони от пътя, в който ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, ти заповяда да ходиш. Така да отмахнеш злото отсред себе си.

If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;

Ако брат ти, синът на майка ти или синът ти, или дъщеря ти, или жената на пазвата ти, или приятелят ти, който е като душата ти, те подмами тайно и каже: Да идем и да служим на други богове! — които нито ти, нито бащите ти са знаели,

Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;

от боговете на народите, които са около вас, близо до теб или далеч от теб, от единия край на земята до другия край на земята —

Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:

да не се съгласяваш с него и да не го слушаш. Да не го пощади окото ти, нито да го пожалиш, нито да го скриеш,

But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.

а непременно да го умъртвиш; ръката ти да бъде първа против него, за да го умъртви, и след това ръката на целия народ.

And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Да го убиеш с камъни, така че да умре, защото се е опитал да те отклони от ГОСПОДА, твоя Бог, който те изведе от египетската земя, от дома на робството.

And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.

И целият Израил ще чуе и ще се уплаши, и няма да върши повече такова зло сред теб.

If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,

Ако за някой от градовете ти, които ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, ти дава, за да живееш в тях, чуеш да се казва:

Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;

Някои зли хора са излезли отсред теб и са отклонили жителите на града си, като са казали: Да идем и да служим на други богове, които вие не сте знаели! —

Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;

тогава да разследваш, да издириш и добре да разпиташ, и ето, ако е истина и е сигурно, че такава мерзост е извършена сред теб,

Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.

непременно да поразиш жителите на онзи град с острието на меча и да изпълниш проклятието над града и над всичко, което е в него, и над добитъка му — с острието на меча.

And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.

И да събереш цялата му плячка в средата на площада му и изцяло да изгориш с огън града и цялата му плячка за ГОСПОДА, своя Бог; и той да бъде куп развалини завинаги; до века да не се построи отново.

And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;

И нищо от поставеното под проклятие да не се залепи за ръката ти; за да се отвърне ГОСПОД от изгарящия Си гняв и да ти окаже милост, да те помилва и да те умножи, така както се закле на бащите ти,

When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.

ако слушаш гласа на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог да пазиш всичките Му заповеди, които ти заповядвам днес, да вършиш каквото е право в очите на ГОСПОДА, твоя Бог.
