II Samuel 12

And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.

И ГОСПОД изпрати Натан при Давид. И той дойде при него и му каза: В един град имаше двама души — единият богат, а другият беден.

The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:

Богатият имаше голямо множество овце и говеда.

But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.

А бедният нямаше нищо друго освен едно малко женско агне, което беше купил и хранеше, и то порасна заедно с него и децата му. От залъка му ядеше и от чашата му пиеше, и на пазвата му лежеше, и му беше като дъщеря.

And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.

И един пътник дойде при богатия, а на него му досвидя да вземе от своите овце и от своите говеда, за да сготви за пътника, който беше дошъл при него, а взе агнето на сиромаха и го сготви за човека, който беше дошъл при него.

And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:

Тогава гневът на Давид пламна силно против човека и той каза на Натан: Жив е ГОСПОД — човекът, който е сторил това, заслужава смърт!

And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

И ще плати за агнето четирикратно, понеже е направил това и не се е съжалил!

And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

Тогава Натан каза на Давид: Ти си човекът! Така казва ГОСПОД, Израилевият Бог: Аз те помазах за цар над Израил и те избавих от ръката на Саул,

And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.

дадох ти дома на господаря ти и жените на господаря ти в пазвата ти и ти дадох израилевия и юдовия дом. И ако това беше малко, бих ти прибавил още много!

Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

Защо презря ти словото на ГОСПОДА, като стори зло пред Него? Ти уби с меч хетееца Урия и си взе за жена неговата жена, а него уби с меча на синовете на Амон.

Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

Затова сега мечът няма да се оттегли от дома ти до века, понеже ти Ме презря и взе жената на хетееца Урия за своя жена.

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

Така казва ГОСПОД: Ето, Аз ще повдигна зло против теб от дома ти и ще взема жените ти пред очите ти, и ще ги дам на ближния ти и той ще лежи с жените ти явно под лъчите на слънцето;

For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

защото ти си извършил това тайно, но Аз ще го извърша пред целия Израил и пред слънцето.

And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

Тогава Давид каза на Натан: Съгреших против ГОСПОДА. А Натан каза на Давид: И ГОСПОД отмахна греха ти — няма да умреш.

Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

Но понеже чрез това дело ти си дал повод на ГОСПОДНИТЕ врагове да хулят, синът, който ти се е родил, непременно ще умре.

And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

И Натан си отиде у дома си. Тогава ГОСПОД порази детето, което жената на Урия беше родила на Давид, и то се разболя.

David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.

И Давид се моли на Бога за момчето и Давид пости, и влезе, и лежа цяла нощ на земята.

And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.

И старейшините на дома му станаха и отидоха при него, за да го вдигнат от земята, но той не искаше и не яде хляб с тях.

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?

А на седмия ден детето умря. И слугите на Давид се страхуваха да му кажат, че детето е мъртво, защото си казваха: Ето, докато детето беше живо, ние му говорехме, а той не слушаше гласа ни. Как тогава да му кажем, че детето е мъртво? Може да направи нещо лошо!

But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.

А Давид видя, че слугите му си шепнеха, и Давид разбра, че детето беше мъртво. И Давид каза на слугите си: Умря ли детето? И те казаха: Умря.

Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

Тогава Давид стана от земята, изми се, помаза се и смени дрехите си, и влезе в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом, и се поклони. После дойде в дома си и поиска да сложат пред него храна, и яде.

Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.

Тогава слугите му му казаха: Какво е това, което направи ти? Когато детето беше живо, ти пости и плака за него; а когато детето умря, ти стана и яде хляб!

And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?

А той каза: Докато детето беше още живо, постих и плаках, защото си казах: Кой знае, може ГОСПОД да бъде милостив към мен и детето да остане живо.

But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

Но сега то умря. Защо да постя? Мога ли да го върна обратно? Аз ще отида при него, но то няма да се върне при мен.

And David comforted Bath–sheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.

После Давид утеши жена си Витсавее и влезе при нея, и лежа с нея; и тя роди син и той го нарече Соломон. А ГОСПОД го възлюби.

And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.

И прати слово чрез пророк Натан и го нарече Едидия, заради ГОСПОДА.

And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.

А Йоав воюва против Рава на синовете на Амон и превзе царския град.

And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters.

И Йоав изпрати пратеници до Давид да кажат: Воювах срещу Рава и превзех и града на водите.

Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called after my name.

Затова сега събери останалия народ и разположи стана си срещу града, и го превземи, за да не превзема аз града и той да се нарече на мен.

And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it.

Тогава Давид събра целия народ и отиде в Рава, и воюва срещу нея, и я превзе.

And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.

И взе короната на техния цар от главата му — а теглото й беше един талант злато, и по нея имаше скъпоценни камъни — и тя се положи на главата на Давид. И той изнесе от града много голяма плячка.

And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brickkiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem.

Изведе и народа, който беше в него, и ги постави да работят с триони, железни кирки и железни брадви, и ги направи роби на тухлените пещи. И така направи на всичките градове на синовете на Амон. После Давид и целият народ се върнаха в Ерусалим.
