II Kings 2

And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

И когато ГОСПОД щеше да възнесе Илия на небето с вихрушка, Илия и Елисей си отидоха от Галгал.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Beth–el. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth–el.

И Илия каза на Елисей: Моля те, остани тук, защото ГОСПОД ме прати до Ветил. А Елисей каза: Жив е ГОСПОД и жива душата ти — няма да те оставя! И слязоха във Ветил.

And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth–el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

И учениците на пророците, които бяха във Ветил, излязоха при Елисей и му казаха: Знаеш ли, че днес ГОСПОД ще вземе господаря ти над главата ти? А той каза: И аз зная. Мълчете!

And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.

И Илия му каза: Елисей, моля те, остани тук, защото ГОСПОД ме прати в Ерихон. А той каза: Жив е ГОСПОД и жива душата ти — няма да те оставя! И дойдоха в Ерихон.

And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

И учениците на пророците, които бяха в Ерихон, дойдоха при Елисей и му казаха: Знаеш ли, че днес ГОСПОД ще вземе господаря ти над главата ти? А той отговори: И аз зная. Мълчете!

And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.

И Илия му каза: Моля те, остани тук, защото ГОСПОД ме прати до Йордан. А той каза: Жив е ГОСПОД и жива душата ти — няма да те оставя! И така, отидоха и двамата.

And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.

И петдесет мъже от учениците на пророците отидоха и застанаха срещу тях надалеч, а те двамата застанаха при Йордан.

And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

И Илия взе кожуха си и го сгъна, и удари по водата; и тя се раздели на едната и на другата страна, така че двамата преминаха по сухо.

And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

И когато преминаха, Илия каза на Елисей: Искай какво да ти сторя, преди да бъда отнет от теб. И Елисей каза: Моля те, нека бъде на мен двоен дял от духа ти!

And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

А той каза: Трудно нещо поиска ти! Ако ме видиш, когато бъда отнет от теб, ще ти бъде дадено; а ако не, няма да ти бъде дадено.

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

И докато те още вървяха и разговаряха, като вървяха, ето, огнена колесница и огнени коне, които ги разделиха един от друг; и Илия се възнесе с вихрушка на небето.

And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

А Елисей видя и извика: Отче мой, отче мой! Колесница израилева и конница негова! И повече не го видя. И хвана дрехите си и ги разкъса на две части.

He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;

И вдигна кожуха на Илия, който падна от него, върна се и застана на брега на Йордан.

And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

И взе кожуха на Илия, който падна от него, удари водата и каза: Къде е ГОСПОД, Бог на Илия? И удари водата и тя се раздели на едната и на другата страна, и Елисей премина.

And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

И когато учениците на пророците, които бяха отсреща в Ерихон, го видяха, казаха: Духът на Илия почива на Елисей! И дойдоха да го посрещнат и му се поклониха до земята.

And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.

И му казаха: Ето сега, между слугите ти има петдесет силни мъже; моля те, нека отидат да потърсят господаря ти, да не би ГОСПОДНИЯТ Дух да го е отнесъл и да го е хвърлил на някоя планина или в някоя долина. А той каза: Не изпращайте.

And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.

Но те настояваха пред него докато се засрами и каза: Изпратете. И така, те изпратиха петдесетте мъже и те търсиха три дни, но не го намериха.

And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?

И се върнаха при него; а той беше останал в Ерихон и им каза: Не ви ли казах: Не отивайте?

And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.

И градските мъже казаха на Елисей: Виж, моля те, местоположението на този град е добро, както вижда господарят ни, но водата е лоша и земята е безплодна.

And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.

А той каза: Донесете ми ново блюдо и сложете в него сол. И му донесоха.

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.

И той излезе при извора на водата и хвърли солта в него, и каза: Така казва ГОСПОД: Изцелих тази вода; вече няма да има смърт и безплодие от нея!

So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.

Така водата беше изцелена, както е и до днес, според словото, което говори Елисей.

And he went up from thence unto Beth–el: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

А от там той се изкачи във Ветил. И като се качваше по пътя, от града излязоха малки момчета и му се присмиваха, като му казваха: Качи се, плешива главо! Качи се, плешива главо!

And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

А той се огледа назад и ги видя, и ги прокле в ГОСПОДНОТО Име. И от гората излязоха две мечки и разкъсаха четиридесет и две деца от тях.

And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.

И от там отиде на планината Кармил, а от там се върна в Самария.
