Zechariah 7

И в четвъртата година на цар Дарий ГОСПОДНОТО слово беше към Захария, на четвъртия ден от деветия месец, през месец Хаслев.

And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;

А Ветил беше изпратил Сарасар и Регемелех и мъжете му да се помолят пред ГОСПОДА,

When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regem–melech, and their men, to pray before the LORD,

да говорят на свещениците на дома на ГОСПОДА на Войнствата и на пророците и да кажат: Да плача ли в петия месец, като се отделя, както правих толкова години?

And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

И словото от ГОСПОДА на Войнствата беше към мен и каза:

Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying,

Говори на целия народ на земята и на свещениците и кажи: Когато постехте и скърбяхте в петия и в седмия месец, и това седемдесет години, наистина ли за Мен постехте, за Мен?

Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?

И когато ядете и пиете, не ядете ли и не пиете ли за себе си?

And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?

Не са ли това думите, които ГОСПОД е прогласил чрез предишните пророци, когато Ерусалим е бил населен и в благоденствие, и околните му градове, и югът и низината са били населени?

Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?

И ГОСПОДНОТО слово беше към Захария и каза:

And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying,

Така говори ГОСПОД на Войнствата и казва: Съдете с истинен съд и оказвайте милост и състрадание всеки на брат си,

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:

и не угнетявайте вдовицата и сирачето, чужденеца и сиромаха; и не мислете в сърцата си злото всеки на брат си.

And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

Но те отказаха да слушат и обърнаха упорито плещите си и запушиха ушите си, за да не чуват.

But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

И направиха сърцето си твърдо като диамант, за да не слушат закона и думите, които ГОСПОД на Войнствата беше изпратил чрез Духа Си чрез предишните пророци; поради което дойде голям гняв от ГОСПОДА на Войнствата.

Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.

Затова, както Той викаше, а те не слушаха, така и те викаха, а Аз не слушах, казва ГОСПОД на Войнствата,

Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:

а ги разпръснах като с вихрушка между всичките народи, които не познаваха. Така земята запустя след тях, така че нямаше кой да минава и да се връща, защото направиха желаната земя на пустош.

But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.
