II Kings 8

А Елисей беше говорил на жената, чийто син беше съживил, и й беше казал: Стани и иди, ти и домът ти, и пребивавай където можеш да пребиваваш, защото ГОСПОД е повикал глада и той ще дойде на земята за седем години.

Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

И жената беше станала и беше постъпила според думите на Божия човек, и беше отишла, тя и домът й, и беше пребивавала седем години във филистимската земя.

And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

А в края на седемте години жената се върна от филистимската земя. И излезе да вика към царя за къщата си и за нивите си.

And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.

А царят точно говореше с Гиезий, слугата на Божия човек, и казваше: Моля те, разкажи ми всичките велики неща, които Елисей е извършил.

And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.

И когато разказваше на царя как беше съживил мъртвия, ето че жената, чийто син беше съживил, извика към царя за къщата си и за нивите си. Тогава Гиезий каза: Господарю мой, царю, тази е жената и този е синът й, когото Елисей съживи!

And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.

И царят попита жената и тя му разказа. Тогава царят й определи един чиновник и каза: Върни всичко, което е било нейно, и цялата реколта на нивите й от деня, когато е напуснала страната до сега.

And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

И Елисей отиде в Дамаск. А арамейският цар Венадад беше болен. И му съобщиха и казаха: Божият човек дойде тук.

And Elisha came to Damascus; and Ben–hadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.

И царят каза на Азаил: Вземи със себе си подарък и иди, посрещни Божия човек и се допитай чрез него до ГОСПОДА и кажи: Ще оздравея ли от тази болест?

And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

И Азаил отиде да го посрещне и взе със себе си подарък от всяко благо на Дамаск, четиридесет камилски товара, и дойде и застана пред него, и каза: Синът ти Венадад, арамейският цар, ме прати при теб и казва: Ще оздравея ли от тази болест?

So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Ben–hadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

И Елисей му каза: Иди, кажи му: Непременно ще оздравееш. Но ГОСПОД ми откри, че непременно ще умре.

And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the LORD hath shewed me that he shall surely die.

И втренчи поглед в Азаил, без да мръдне, докато той се засрами. И Божият човек заплака.

And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept.

А Азаил каза: Защо плаче господарят ми? И той отговори: Защото зная колко зло ще сториш на израилевите синове — укрепленията им ще предадеш на огън, младежите им ще избиеш с меч, децата им ще смажеш и бременните им жени ще разпориш.

And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.

И Азаил каза: Но какво е слугата ти — куче — че да извърши това голямо нещо? И Елисей отговори: ГОСПОД ми показа, че ти ще царуваш над Арам.

And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.

И той си отиде от Елисей и дойде при господаря си и той му каза: Какво ти каза Елисей? А той му отговори: Каза ми, че непременно ще оздравееш.

So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover.

А на другия ден взе завивката, натопи я във вода и я разпростря върху лицето му, така че той умря. И Азаил се възцари вместо него.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

И в петата година на израилевия цар Йорам, сина на Ахав, когато Йосафат беше цар на Юда, се възцари Йорам, синът на юдовия цар Йосафат.

And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.

Той беше на тридесет и две години, когато се възцари, и царува осем години в Ерусалим.

Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

И той ходи в пътя на израилевите царе, както постъпваше домът на Ахав, защото жена му беше дъщеря на Ахав. И той върши зло пред ГОСПОДА.

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

Но ГОСПОД не поиска да изтреби Юда заради слугата Си Давид, както му беше обещал, че ще даде светилник на него и на синовете му завинаги.

Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.

В неговите дни Едом отстъпи изпод ръката на Юда и си постави свой цар.

In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.

И Йорам отиде към Саир и с него всичките колесници. И като стана през нощта, разби едомците, които бяха обкръжили него и началниците на колесниците. И народът побягна в шатрите си.

So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.

Така Едом отстъпи изпод ръката на Юда, и е независим и до днес. Тогава, по същото време, отстъпи и Ливна.

Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time.

А останалите дела на Йорам и всичко, което извърши, не са ли записани в Книгата на летописите на юдовите царе?

And the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

И Йорам легна при бащите си и беше погребан при бащите си в Давидовия град. И вместо него се възцари синът му Охозия.

And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.

В дванадесетата година на израилевия цар Йорам, сина на Ахав, се възцари Охозия, синът на юдовия цар Йорам.

In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.

Охозия беше на двадесет и две години, когато се възцари, и царува една година в Ерусалим. Името на майка му беше Готолия, дъщеря на израилевия цар Амрий.

Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.

Той ходи в пътя на Ахавовия дом и върши зло пред ГОСПОДА като Ахавовия дом, защото беше зет на Ахавовия дом.

And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab: for he was the son in law of the house of Ahab.

И отиде с Йорам, сина на Ахав, на война против арамейския цар Азаил в Рамот-Галаад. И арамейците раниха Йорам.

And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war against Hazael king of Syria in Ramoth–gilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.

И цар Йорам се върна, за да се лекува в Езраел от раните, които му нанесоха арамейците в Рама, когато се би срещу арамейския цар Азаил. И юдовият цар Охозия, синът на Йорам, слезе в Езраел, за да види Йорам, сина на Ахав, защото беше болен.

And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
