Psalms 15

داؤد کا زبور۔ اے رب، کون تیرے خیمے میں ٹھہر سکتا ہے؟ کس کو تیرے مُقدّس پہاڑ پر رہنے کی اجازت ہے؟

LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

وہ جس کا چال چلن بےگناہ ہے، جو راست باز زندگی گزار کر دل سے سچ بولتا ہے۔

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

ایسا شخص اپنی زبان سے کسی پر تہمت نہیں لگاتا۔ نہ وہ اپنے پڑوسی پر زیادتی کرتا، نہ اُس کی بےعزتی کرتا ہے۔

He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

وہ مردود کو حقیر جانتا لیکن خدا ترس کی عزت کرتا ہے۔ جو وعدہ اُس نے قَسم کھا کر کیا اُسے پورا کرتا ہے، خواہ اُسے کتنا ہی نقصان کیوں نہ پہنچے۔

In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

وہ سود لئے بغیر اُدھار دیتا ہے اور اُس کی رشوت قبول نہیں کرتا جو بےگناہ کا حق مارنا چاہتا ہے۔ ایسا شخص کبھی ڈانواں ڈول نہیں ہو گا۔

He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
