Ezekiel 13

رب مجھ سے ہم کلام ہوا،

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

”اے آدم زاد، اسرائیل کے نام نہاد نبیوں کے خلاف نبوّت کر! جو نبوّت کرتے وقت اپنے دلوں سے اُبھرنے والی باتیں ہی پیش کرتے ہیں، اُن سے کہہ، ’رب کا فرمان سنو!

Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;

رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اُن احمق نبیوں پر افسوس جنہیں اپنی ہی روح سے تحریک ملتی ہے اور جو حقیقت میں رویا نہیں دیکھتے۔

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

اے اسرائیل، تیرے نبی کھنڈرات میں لومڑیوں کی طرح آوارہ پھر رہے ہیں۔

O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.

نہ کوئی دیوار کے رخنوں میں کھڑا ہوا، نہ کسی نے اُس کی مرمت کی تاکہ اسرائیلی قوم رب کے اُس دن قائم رہ سکے جب جنگ چھڑ جائے گی۔

Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.

اُن کی رویائیں دھوکا ہی دھوکا، اُن کی پیش گوئیاں جھوٹ ہی جھوٹ ہیں۔ وہ کہتے ہیں، ”رب فرماتا ہے“ گو رب نے اُنہیں نہیں بھیجا۔ تعجب کی بات ہے کہ توبھی وہ توقع کرتے ہیں کہ مَیں اُن کی پیش گوئیاں پوری ہونے دوں!

They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.

حقیقت میں تمہاری رویائیں دھوکا ہی دھوکا اور تمہاری پیش گوئیاں جھوٹ ہی جھوٹ ہیں۔ توبھی تم کہتے ہو، ”رب فرماتا ہے“ حالانکہ مَیں نے کچھ نہیں فرمایا۔

Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?

چنانچہ رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں تمہاری فریب دہ باتوں اور جھوٹی رویاؤں کی وجہ سے تم سے نپٹ لوں گا۔ یہ رب قادرِ مطلق کا فرمان ہے۔

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.

مَیں اپنا ہاتھ اُن نبیوں کے خلاف بڑھا دوں گا جو دھوکے کی رویائیں دیکھتے اور جھوٹی پیش گوئیاں سناتے ہیں۔ نہ وہ میری قوم کی مجلس میں شریک ہوں گے، نہ اسرائیلی قوم کی فہرستوں میں درج ہوں گے۔ ملکِ اسرائیل میں وہ کبھی داخل نہیں ہوں گے۔ تب تم جان لو گے کہ مَیں رب قادرِ مطلق ہوں۔

And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

وہ میری قوم کو غلط راہ پر لا کر امن و امان کا اعلان کرتے ہیں اگرچہ امن و امان ہے نہیں۔ جب قوم اپنے لئے کچی سی دیوار بنا لیتی ہے تو یہ نبی اُس پر سفیدی پھیر دیتے ہیں۔

Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:

لیکن اے سفیدی کرنے والو، خبردار! یہ دیوار گر جائے گی۔ موسلادھار بارش برسے گی، اولے پڑیں گے اور سخت آندھی اُس پر ٹوٹ پڑے گی۔

Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.

تب دیوار گر جائے گی، اور لوگ طنزاً تم سے پوچھیں گے کہ اب وہ سفیدی کہاں ہے جو تم نے دیوار پر پھیری تھی؟

Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?

رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں طیش میں آ کر دیوار پر زبردست آندھی آنے دوں گا، غصے میں اُس پر موسلادھار بارش اور مہلک اولے برسا دوں گا۔

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.

مَیں اُس دیوار کو ڈھا دوں گا جس پر تم نے سفیدی پھیری تھی، اُسے خاک میں یوں ملا دوں گا کہ اُس کی بنیاد نظر آئے گی۔ اور جب وہ گر جائے گی تو تم بھی اُس کی زد میں آ کر تباہ ہو جاؤ گے۔ تب تم جان لو گے کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں۔

So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

یوں مَیں دیوار اور اُس کی سفیدی کرنے والوں پر اپنا غصہ اُتاروں گا۔ تب مَیں تم سے کہوں گا کہ دیوار بھی ختم ہے اور اُس کی سفیدی کرنے والے بھی،

Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;

یعنی اسرائیل کے وہ نبی جنہوں نے یروشلم کو ایسی پیش گوئیاں اور رویائیں سنائیں جن کے مطابق امن و امان کا دور قریب ہی ہے، حالانکہ امن و امان کا امکان ہی نہیں۔ یہ رب قادرِ مطلق کا فرمان ہے۔‘

To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.

اے آدم زاد، اب اپنی قوم کی اُن بیٹیوں کا سامنا کر جو نبوّت کرتے وقت وہی باتیں پیش کرتی ہیں جو اُن کے دلوں سے اُبھر آتی ہیں۔ اُن کے خلاف نبوّت کر کے

Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,

کہہ، ’رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اُن عورتوں پر افسوس جو تمام لوگوں کے لئے کلائی سے باندھنے والے تعویذ سی لیتی ہیں، جو لوگوں کو پھنسانے کے لئے چھوٹوں اور بڑوں کے سروں کے لئے پردے بنا لیتی ہیں۔ اے عورتو، کیا تم واقعی سمجھتی ہو کہ میری قوم میں سے بعض کو پھانس سکتی اور بعض کو اپنے لئے زندہ چھوڑ سکتی ہو؟

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?

میری قوم کے درمیان ہی تم نے میری بےحرمتی کی، اور یہ صرف چند ایک مٹھی بھر جَو اور روٹی کے دو چار ٹکڑوں کے لئے۔ افسوس، میری قوم جھوٹ سننا پسند کرتی ہے۔ اِس سے فائدہ اُٹھا کر تم نے اُسے جھوٹ پیش کر کے اُنہیں مار ڈالا جنہیں مرنا نہیں تھا اور اُنہیں زندہ چھوڑا جنہیں زندہ نہیں رہنا تھا۔

And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?

اِس لئے رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں تمہارے تعویذوں سے نپٹ لوں گا جن کے ذریعے تم لوگوں کو پرندوں کی طرح پکڑ لیتی ہو۔ مَیں جادوگری کی یہ چیزیں تمہارے بازوؤں سے نوچ کر پھاڑ ڈالوں گا اور اُنہیں رِہا کروں گا جنہیں تم نے پرندوں کی طرح پکڑ لیا ہے۔

Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

مَیں تمہارے پردوں کو پھاڑ کر ہٹا لوں گا اور اپنی قوم کو تمہارے ہاتھوں سے بچا لوں گا۔ آئندہ وہ تمہارا شکار نہیں رہے گی۔ تب تم جان لو گی کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں۔

Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

تم نے اپنے جھوٹ سے راست بازوں کو دُکھ پہنچایا، حالانکہ یہ دُکھ میری طرف سے نہیں تھا۔ ساتھ ساتھ تم نے بےدینوں کی حوصلہ افزائی کی کہ وہ اپنی بُری راہوں سے باز نہ آئیں، حالانکہ وہ باز آنے سے بچ جاتے۔

Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

اِس لئے آئندہ نہ تم فریب دہ رویا دیکھو گی، نہ دوسروں کی قسمت کا حال بتاؤ گی۔ مَیں اپنی قوم کو تمہارے ہاتھوں سے چھٹکارا دوں گا۔ تب تم جان لو گی کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں‘۔“

Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
