Job 42

Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

تب ایوب نے جواب میں رب سے کہا،

I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

”مَیں نے جان لیا ہے کہ تُو سب کچھ کر پاتا ہے، کہ تیرا کوئی بھی منصوبہ روکا نہیں جا سکتا۔

Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

تُو نے فرمایا، ’یہ کون ہے جو سمجھ سے خالی باتیں کرنے سے میرے منصوبے کے صحیح مطلب پر پردہ ڈالتا ہے؟‘ یقیناً مَیں نے ایسی باتیں بیان کیں جو میری سمجھ سے باہر ہیں، ایسی باتیں جو اِتنی انوکھی ہیں کہ مَیں اُن کا علم رکھ ہی نہیں سکتا۔

Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

تُو نے فرمایا، ’سن میری بات تو مَیں بولوں گا۔ مَیں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں، اور تُو مجھے تعلیم دے۔‘

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

پہلے مَیں نے تیرے بارے میں صرف سنا تھا، لیکن اب میری اپنی آنکھوں نے تجھے دیکھا ہے۔

Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

اِس لئے مَیں اپنی باتیں مسترد کرتا، اپنے آپ پر خاک اور راکھ ڈال کر توبہ کرتا ہوں۔“

And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.

ایوب سے یہ تمام باتیں کہنے کے بعد رب اِلی فز تیمانی سے ہم کلام ہوا، ”مَیں تجھ سے اور تیرے دو دوستوں سے غصے ہوں، کیونکہ گو میرے بندے ایوب نے میرے بارے میں درست باتیں کیں مگر تم نے ایسا نہیں کیا۔

Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.

چنانچہ اب سات جوان بَیل اور سات مینڈھے لے کر میرے بندے ایوب کے پاس جاؤ اور اپنی خاطر بھسم ہونے والی قربانی پیش کرو۔ لازم ہے کہ ایوب تمہاری شفاعت کرے، ورنہ مَیں تمہیں تمہاری حماقت کا پورا اجر دوں گا۔ لیکن اُس کی شفاعت پر مَیں تمہیں معاف کروں گا، کیونکہ میرے بندے ایوب نے میرے بارے میں وہ کچھ بیان کیا جو صحیح ہے جبکہ تم نے ایسا نہیں کیا۔“

So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.

اِلی فز تیمانی، بِلدد سوخی اور ضوفر نعماتی نے وہ کچھ کیا جو رب نے اُنہیں کرنے کو کہا تھا تو رب نے ایوب کی سنی۔

And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

اور جب ایوب نے دوستوں کی شفاعت کی تو رب نے اُسے اِتنی برکت دی کہ آخرکار اُسے پہلے کی نسبت دُگنی دولت حاصل ہوئی۔

Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.

تب اُس کے تمام بھائی بہنیں اور پرانے جاننے والے اُس کے پاس آئے اور گھر میں اُس کے ساتھ کھانا کھا کر اُس آفت پر افسوس کیا جو رب ایوب پر لایا تھا۔ ہر ایک نے اُسے تسلی دے کر اُسے ایک سِکہ اور سونے کا ایک چھلا دے دیا۔

So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.

اب سے رب نے ایوب کو پہلے کی نسبت کہیں زیادہ برکت دی۔ اُسے 14,000 بکریاں، 6,000 اونٹ، بَیلوں کی 1,000 جوڑیاں اور 1,000 گدھیاں حاصل ہوئیں۔

He had also seven sons and three daughters.

نیز، اُس کے مزید سات بیٹے اور تین بیٹیاں پیدا ہوئیں۔

And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Keren–happuch.

اُس نے بیٹیوں کے یہ نام رکھے: پہلی کا نام یمیمہ، دوسری کا قصیعہ اور تیسری کا قرن ہپّوک۔

And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.

تمام ملک میں ایوب کی بیٹیوں جیسی خوب صورت خواتین پائی نہیں جاتی تھیں۔ ایوب نے اُنہیں بھی میراث میں ملکیت دی، ایسی ملکیت جو اُن کے بھائیوں کے درمیان ہی تھی۔

After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.

ایوب مزید 140 سال زندہ رہا، اِس لئے وہ اپنی اولاد کو چوتھی پشت تک دیکھ سکا۔

So Job died, being old and full of days.

پھر وہ دراز زندگی سے آسودہ ہو کر انتقال کر گیا۔
