Jeremiah 28

And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

اُسی سال کے پانچویں مہینے میں جِبعون کا رہنے والا نبی حننیاہ بن عزور رب کے گھر میں آیا۔ اُس وقت یعنی صِدقیاہ کی حکومت کے چوتھے سال میں وہ اماموں اور قوم کی موجودگی میں مجھ سے مخاطب ہوا،

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

”رب الافواج جو اسرائیل کا خدا ہے فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں شاہِ بابل کا جوا توڑ ڈالوں گا۔

Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD'S house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:

دو سال کے اندر اندر مَیں رب کے گھر کا وہ سارا سامان اِس جگہ واپس پہنچاؤں گا جو شاہِ بابل نبوکدنضر یہاں سے نکال کر بابل لے گیا تھا۔

And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith the LORD: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

اُس وقت مَیں یہوداہ کے بادشاہ یہویاکین بن یہویقیم اور یہوداہ کے دیگر تمام جلاوطنوں کو بھی بابل سے واپس لاؤں گا۔ کیونکہ مَیں یقیناً شاہِ بابل کا جوا توڑ ڈالوں گا۔ یہ رب کا فرمان ہے۔“

Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the LORD,

یہ سن کر یرمیاہ نے اماموں اور رب کے گھر میں کھڑے باقی پرستاروں کی موجودگی میں حننیاہ نبی سے کہا،

Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD'S house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.

”آمین! رب ایسا ہی کرے، وہ تیری پیش گوئی پوری کر کے رب کے گھر کا سامان اور تمام جلاوطنوں کو بابل سے اِس جگہ واپس لائے۔

Nevertheless hear thou now this word that I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people;

لیکن اُس پر توجہ دے جو مَیں تیری اور پوری قوم کی موجودگی میں بیان کرتا ہوں!

The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.

قدیم زمانے سے لے کر آج تک جتنے نبی مجھ سے اور تجھ سے پہلے خدمت کرتے آئے ہیں اُنہوں نے متعدد ملکوں اور بڑی بڑی سلطنتوں کے بارے میں نبوّت کی تھی کہ اُن پر جنگ، آفت اور مہلک بیماریاں نازل ہوں گی۔

The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him.

چنانچہ خبردار! جو نبی سلامتی کی پیش گوئی کرے اُس کی تصدیق اُس وقت ہو گی جب اُس کی پیش گوئی پوری ہو جائے گی۔ اُسی وقت لوگ جان لیں گے کہ اُسے واقعی رب کی طرف سے بھیجا گیا ہے۔“

Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it.

تب حننیاہ نے لکڑی کے جوئے کو یرمیاہ کی گردن پر سے اُتار کر اُسے توڑ دیا۔

And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.

تمام لوگوں کے سامنے اُس نے کہا، ”رب فرماتا ہے کہ دو سال کے اندر اندر مَیں اِسی طرح شاہِ بابل نبوکدنضر کا جوا تمام قوموں کی گردن پر سے اُتار کر توڑ ڈالوں گا۔“ تب یرمیاہ وہاں سے چلا گیا۔

Then the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

اِس واقعے کے تھوڑی دیر بعد رب یرمیاہ سے ہم کلام ہوا،

Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.

”جا، حننیاہ کو بتا، ’رب فرماتا ہے کہ تُو نے لکڑی کا جوا تو توڑ دیا ہے، لیکن اُس کی جگہ تُو نے اپنی گردن پر لوہے کا جوا رکھ لیا ہے۔‘

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.

کیونکہ رب الافواج جو اسرائیل کا خدا ہے فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں نے لوہے کا جوا اِن تمام قوموں پر رکھ دیا ہے تاکہ وہ نبوکدنضر کی خدمت کریں۔ اور نہ صرف یہ اُس کی خدمت کریں گے بلکہ مَیں جنگلی جانوروں کو بھی اُس کے ہاتھ میں کر دوں گا۔“

Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.

پھر یرمیاہ نے حننیاہ سے کہا، ”اے حننیاہ، سن! گو رب نے تجھے نہیں بھیجا توبھی تُو نے اِس قوم کو جھوٹ پر بھروسا رکھنے پر آمادہ کیا ہے۔

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD.

اِس لئے رب فرماتا ہے، ’مَیں تجھے رُوئے زمین پر سے مٹانے کو ہوں۔ اِسی سال تُو مر جائے گا، اِس لئے کہ تُو نے رب سے سرکش ہونے کا مشورہ دیا ہے‘۔“

So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

اور ایسا ہی ہوا۔ اُسی سال کے ساتویں مہینے یعنی دو مہینے کے بعد حننیاہ نبی کوچ کر گیا۔
