Ezekiel 38

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

رب مجھ سے ہم کلام ہوا،

Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

”اے آدم زاد، ملکِ ماجوج کے حکمران جوج کی طرف رُخ کر جو مسک اور تُوبل کا اعلیٰ رئیس ہے۔ اُس کے خلاف نبوّت کر کے

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

کہہ، ’رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اے مسک اور تُوبل کے اعلیٰ رئیس جوج، اب مَیں تجھ سے نپٹ لوں گا۔

And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

مَیں تیرے منہ کو پھیر دوں گا، تیرے منہ میں کانٹے ڈال کر تجھے پوری فوج سمیت نکال دوں گا۔ شاندار وردیوں سے آراستہ تیرے تمام گھڑسوار اور فوجی اپنے گھوڑوں سمیت نکل آئیں گے، گو تیری بڑی فوج کے مرد چھوٹی اور بڑی ڈھالیں اُٹھائے پھریں گے، اور ہر ایک تلوار سے لیس ہو گا۔

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

فارس، ایتھوپیا اور لبیا کے مرد بھی فوج میں شامل ہوں گے۔ ہر ایک بڑی ڈھال اور خود سے مسلح ہو گا۔

Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

جُمر اور شمال کے دُوردراز علاقے بیت تُجرمہ کے تمام دستے بھی ساتھ ہوں گے۔ غرض اُس وقت بہت سی قومیں تیرے ساتھ نکلیں گی۔

Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

چنانچہ مستعد ہو جا! جتنے لشکر تیرے ارد گرد جمع ہو گئے ہیں اُن کے ساتھ مل کر خوب تیاریاں کر! اُن کے لئے پہرہ داری کر۔

After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

متعدد دنوں کے بعد تجھے ملکِ اسرائیل پر حملہ کرنے کے لئے بُلایا جائے گا جسے ابھی جنگ سے چھٹکارا ملا ہو گا اور جس کے جلاوطن دیگر بہت سی قوموں میں سے واپس آ گئے ہوں گے۔ گو اسرائیل کا پہاڑی علاقہ بڑی دیر سے برباد ہوا ہو گا، لیکن اُس وقت اُس کے باشندے جلاوطنی سے واپس آ کر امن و امان سے اُس میں بسیں گے۔

Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

تب تُو طوفان کی طرح آگے بڑھے گا، تیرے دستے بادل کی طرح پورے ملک پر چھا جائیں گے۔ تیرے ساتھ بہت سی قومیں ہوں گی۔

Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اُس وقت تیرے ذہن میں بُرے خیالات اُبھر آئیں گے اور تُو شریر منصوبے باندھے گا۔

And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

تُو کہے گا، ”یہ ملک کھلا ہے، اور اُس کے باشندے آرام اور سکون کے ساتھ رہ رہے ہیں۔ آؤ، مَیں اُن پر حملہ کروں، کیونکہ وہ اپنی حفاظت نہیں کر سکتے۔ نہ اُن کی چاردیواری ہے، نہ دروازہ یا کنڈا۔

To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

مَیں اسرائیلیوں کو لُوٹ لوں گا۔ جو شہر پہلے کھنڈرات تھے لیکن اب نئے سرے سے آباد ہوئے ہیں اُن پر مَیں ٹوٹ پڑوں گا۔ جو جلاوطن دیگر اقوام سے واپس آ گئے ہیں اُن کی دولت مَیں چھین لوں گا۔ کیونکہ اُنہیں کافی مال مویشی حاصل ہوئے ہیں، اور اب وہ دنیا کے مرکز میں آ بسے ہیں۔“

Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

سبا، ددان اور ترسیس کے تاجر اور بزرگ پوچھیں گے کہ کیا تُو نے واقعی اپنے فوجیوں کو لُوٹ مار کے لئے اکٹھا کر لیا ہے؟ کیا تُو واقعی سونا چاندی، مال مویشی اور باقی بہت سی دولت چھیننا چاہتا ہے؟‘

Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?

اے آدم زاد، نبوّت کر کے جوج کو بتا، ’رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اُس وقت تجھے پتا چلے گا کہ میری قوم اسرائیل سکون سے زندگی گزار رہی ہے،

And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

اور تُو دُوردراز شمال کے اپنے ملک سے نکلے گا۔ تیری وسیع اور طاقت ور فوج میں متعدد قومیں شامل ہوں گی، اور سب گھوڑوں پر سوار

And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

میری قوم اسرائیل پر دھاوا بول دیں گے۔ وہ اُس پر بادل کی طرح چھا جائیں گے۔ اے جوج، اُن آخری دنوں میں مَیں خود تجھے اپنے ملک پر حملہ کرنے دوں گا تاکہ دیگر اقوام مجھے جان لیں۔ کیونکہ جو کچھ مَیں اُن کے دیکھتے دیکھتے تیرے ساتھ کروں گا اُس سے میرا مُقدّس کردار اُن پر ظاہر ہو جائے گا۔

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ تُو وہی ہے جس کا ذکر مَیں نے ماضی میں کیا تھا۔ کیونکہ ماضی میں میرے خادم یعنی اسرائیل کے نبی کافی سالوں سے پیش گوئی کرتے رہے کہ مَیں تجھے اسرائیل کے خلاف بھیجوں گا۔

And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.

رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ جس دن جوج ملکِ اسرائیل پر حملہ کرے گا اُس دن مَیں آگ بگولا ہو جاؤں گا۔

For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

مَیں فرماتا ہوں کہ اُس دن میری غیرت اور شدید قہر یوں بھڑک اُٹھے گا کہ یقیناً ملکِ اسرائیل میں زبردست زلزلہ آئے گا۔

So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

سب میرے سامنے تھرتھرا اُٹھیں گے، خواہ مچھلیاں ہوں یا پرندے، خواہ زمین پر چلنے اور رینگنے والے جانور ہوں یا انسان۔ پہاڑ اُن کی گزرگاہوں سمیت خاک میں ملائے جائیں گے، اور ہر دیوار گر جائے گی۔

And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother.

رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں اپنے تمام پہاڑی علاقے میں جوج کے خلاف تلوار بھیجوں گا۔ تب سب آپس میں لڑنے لگیں گے۔

And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

مَیں اُن میں مہلک بیماریاں اور قتل و غارت پھیلا کر اُن کی عدالت کروں گا۔ ساتھ ساتھ مَیں موسلادھار بارش، اولے، آگ اور گندھک جوج اور اُس کی بین الاقوامی فوج پر برسا دوں گا۔

Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

یوں مَیں اپنا عظیم اور مُقدّس کردار متعدد قوموں پر ظاہر کروں گا، اُن کے دیکھتے دیکھتے اپنے آپ کا اظہار کروں گا۔ تب وہ جان لیں گی کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں۔‘
