II Chronicles 5

Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.

Και συνετελεσθη απαν το εργον το οποιον εκαμεν ο Σολομων δια τον οικον του Κυριου και εισεφερεν ο Σολομων τα αφιερωματα Δαβιδ του πατρος αυτου και το αργυριον και το χρυσιον και παντα τα σκευη εθεσεν εν τοις θησαυροις του οικου του Θεου.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Τοτε συνηθροισεν ο Σολομων εις Ιερουσαλημ τους πρεσβυτερους του Ισραηλ και παντας τους αρχηγους των φυλων, τους οικογεναρχας των υιων Ισραηλ, δια να αναβιβασωσι την κιβωτον της διαθηκης. του Κυριου εκ της πολεως Δαβιδ, ητις ειναι η Σιων.

Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.

Και συνηθροισθησαν παντες οι ανδρες Ισραηλ προς τον βασιλεα εν τη εορτη του εβδομου μηνος.

And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.

Και ηλθον παντες οι πρεσβυτεροι του Ισραηλ και εσηκωσαν οι Λευιται την κιβωτον.

And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.

Και ανεβιβασαν την κιβωτον και την σκηνην του μαρτυριου και παντα τα σκευη τα αγια τα εν τη σκηνη οι ιερεις και οι Λευιται ανεβιβασαν αυτα.

Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

Και ο βασιλευς Σολομων και πασα η συναγωγη του Ισραηλ, οι συναχθεντες προς αυτον, ησαν εμπροσθεν της κιβωτου, θυσιαζοντες προβατα και βοας, οσα δεν ητο δυνατον να λογαριασθωσιν ουδε να αριθμηθωσι δια το πληθος.

And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:

Και εισηγαγον οι ιερεις την κιβωτον της διαθηκης του Κυριου εις τον τοπον αυτης, εις το χρηστηριον του οικου, εις τα αγια των αγιων, υποκατω των πτερυγων των χερουβειμ

For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

διοτι τα χερουβειμ ειχον εξηπλωμενας τας πτερυγας επι τον τοπον της κιβωτου, και τα χερουβειμ εκαλυπτον την κιβωτον και τους μοχλους αυτης ανωθεν

And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.

και εξειχον οι μοχλοι, και εφαινοντο τα ακρα των μοχλων εξω της κιβωτου εμπροσθεν του χρηστηριου εξωθεν ομως δεν εφαινοντο. Και ειναι εκει εως της σημερον.

There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

Δεν ητο εν τη κιβωτω ειμη αι δυο πλακες, τας οποιας εθεσεν ο Μωυσης εκει εν Χωρηβ, οπου ο Κυριος εκαμε διαθηκην προς τους υιους Ισραηλ, οτε εξηλθον εξ Αιγυπτου.

And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:

Και ως εξηλθον οι ιερεις εκ του αγιαστηριου, διοτι παντες οι ιερεις οι ευρεθεντες ηγιασθησαν, χωρις να ηναι διατεταγμενοι κατα διαιρεσεις

Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)

και οι Λευιται οι ψαλτωδοι, παντες οι του Ασαφ, του Αιμαν, του Ιεδουθουν, και οι υιοι αυτων και οι αδελφοι αυτων, ενδεδυμενοι βυσσον, εν κυμβαλοις και ψαλτηριοις και κιθαραις, ισταντο κατα ανατολας του θυσιαστηριου, και μετ αυτων εκατον εικοσι ιερεις σαλπιζοντες δια σαλπιγγων

It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;

τοτε, ως ηχησαν οι σαλπιγκται και οι ψαλτωδοι ομου μια φωνη, υμνουντες και δοξολογουντες τον Κυριον, και καθως υψωσαν την φωνην δια σαλπιγγων και κυμβαλων και οργανων μουσικων, και υμνουν τον Κυριον, λεγοντες, Οτι ειναι αγαθος, οτι εις τον αιωνα το ελεος αυτου, τοτε ο οικος ενεπλησθη νεφελης, ο οικος του Κυριου,

So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

και δεν ηδυναντο οι ιερεις να σταθωσι δια να λειτουργησωσιν, εξ αιτιας της νεφελης διοτι η δοξα του Κυριου ενεπλησε τον οικον του Θεου.
