Psalms 131

LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

خداوندا، از کبر و غرور دست کشیده‏ام و خود را بهتر از دیگران نمی‌دانم. خود را از آن چه بالاتر از فهم و درک من است دور می‌کنم.

Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

نگرانی را از خود دور کرده‌ام و مانند کودکی که در آغوش مادر خود آرام است، در درون خود آرامش دارم.

Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever.

ای اسرائیل، بر خداوند توکّل داشته باش، از حال تا به ابد!
