Joshua 23

And it came to pass a long time after that the LORD had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age.

А след много дни, когато ГОСПОД беше дал на Израил почивка от всичките му врагове наоколо и Иисус беше стар и в напреднала възраст,

And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said unto them, I am old and stricken in age:

Иисус свика целия Израил, старейшините му, началниците му, съдиите му и надзорниците му, и им каза: Аз съм стар и в напреднала възраст.

And ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God is he that hath fought for you.

Но вие видяхте всичко, което ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, извърши заради вас на всички тези народи, защото ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, е, който воюваше за вас.

Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward.

Ето, аз ви разделих чрез жребий тези народи, които остават, за наследство според племената ви, заедно с всичките народи, които изтребих, от Йордан до Голямото море към залез слънце.

And the LORD your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out of your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the LORD your God hath promised unto you.

И ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, Той ще ги изпъди отпред вас и ще ги изгони отпред вас; и вие ще притежавате земята им, както ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, ви е обещал.

Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left;

Затова бъдете много твърди, да пазите и да вършите всичко, което е написано в книгата на Мойсеевия закон, да не се отклонявате от него нито надясно, нито наляво,

That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:

за да не се смесите с тези народи, тези, които останаха между вас, и да не споменавате името на боговете им, и да не заклевате някого в тях, и да на им служите, и да не им се покланяте;

But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.

а да се привързвате към ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, както сте правили до днес.

For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.

Защото ГОСПОД изгони отпред вас големи и силни народи и до днес никой не можа да устои пред вас.

One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.

Един от вас ще обръща в бяг хиляда, защото ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, е, който воюва за вас, както ви е обещал.

Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.

Затова внимавайте добре на себе си — да любите ГОСПОДА, вашия Бог!

Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you:

Защото, ако някога се върнете назад и се привържете към остатъка на тези народи, тези, които останаха между вас, и се сродите, и се смесите с тях и те с вас,

Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.

знайте със сигурност, че ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, няма да продължи да изгонва тези народи отпред вас; и те ще ви бъдат клопка и примка, и бич в ребрата ви, и тръни в очите ви, докато изчезнете от тази добра земя, която ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, ви е дал.

And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.

Ето, днес аз отивам по пътя на цялата земя; и вие знаете с цялото си сърце и с цялата си душа, че нито една дума от всички добри неща, които ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, говори за вас, не пропадна; всичките се изпълниха за вас; нито една дума от тях не пропадна!

Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.

Но както дойдоха върху вас всичките добри думи, които ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, ви говори, така ГОСПОД ще докара върху вас всичките зли думи, докато ви изтреби от тази добра земя, която ГОСПОД, вашият Бог, ви е дал.

When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.

Когато престъпите завета на ГОСПОДА, вашия Бог, който ви е заповядал, и отидете и служите на други богове, и им се поклоните, тогава гневът на ГОСПОДА ще пламне против вас и вие бързо ще изчезнете от добрата земя, която ви е дал.
