Hosea 10

Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.

Израил е разпростряна лоза, има достатъчно плод. Според множеството на плодовете си умножи жертвениците си; според хубостта на земята си разкраси стълбовете на идолите си.

Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.

Сърцето им е разделено, сега ще се окажат виновни. Той ще разруши жертвениците им, ще унищожи стълбовете на идолите им.

For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us?

Защото сега ще кажат: Ние нямаме цар, защото не се бояхме от ГОСПОДА, и какво ще ни ползва царят?

They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.

Говориха празни думи, клеха се лъжливо, сключваха завети. Затова осъждането ще поникне като отровен плевел в браздите на полето.

The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Beth–aven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.

Жителите на Самария ще се разтреперят за телето на Ветавен. Да, народът му ще жалее за него и жреците му ще треперят за него заради славата му, защото си отиде от него.

It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.

И то ще бъде отнесено в Асирия за подарък на цар Ярив. Срам ще постигне Ефрем и Израил ще се посрами от замислите си.

As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water.

Погина Самария, царят й е като треска върху вода.

The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.

И високите места на Авен, грехът на Израил, ще бъдат унищожени, тръни и бодили ще поникнат върху жертвениците им. И те ще кажат на планините: Покрийте ни! -— и на хълмовете: Паднете върху нас!

O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.

От дните на Гавая ти съгреши, Израилю; там застанаха, не стигна до тях в Гавая битката против синовете на беззаконието.

It is in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows.

Според желанието си ще ги накажа и народи ще се съберат против тях, когато бъдат вързани за двете си беззакония.

And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.

Ефрем е обучена юница, която обича да вършее, и Аз преминах върху хубавия й врат. Ще впрегна Ефрем, Юда ще оре, Яков ще си разбива буците.

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

Посейте си по правда, пожънете с милост, разорете си целина; защото е време да потърсите ГОСПОДА, докато дойде и ви навали правда.

Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

Орахте безбожие, пожънахте беззаконие, ядохте плода от лъжата; защото ти се упова на пътя си, на многото си силни мъже.

Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Beth–arbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children.

И между народите ти ще се надигне размирие и всичките ти крепости ще бъдат разрушени, както Салман разруши Вет-Арвел в деня на битката — майка беше смазана върху децата си.

So shall Beth–el do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.

Така ще ви се направи във Ветил заради ужасната ви злина; на зазоряване израилевият цар ще бъде отсечен напълно.
