Genesis 28

And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.

Тогава Исаак повика Яков и като го благослови, му поръча и каза: Да не вземеш жена от ханаанските дъщери!

Arise, go to Padan–aram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother.

Стани, иди в Падан-Арам, в дома на Ватуил, бащата на майка си, и оттам вземи жена, от дъщерите на Лаван, брата на майка си.

And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people;

И Всемогъщият Бог да те благослови и да те направи плодовит и да те умножи, така че да произлязат от теб множество народи,

And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.

и да ти даде благословението на Авраам, на теб и на потомството ти с теб, за да наследиш земята, в която си чужденец, която Бог даде на Авраам.

And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padan–aram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.

Така Исаак изпрати Яков и той отиде в Падан-Арам при Лаван, сина на арамееца Ватуил и брата на Ревека, майката на Яков и Исав.

When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padan–aram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;

А Исав, като видя, че Исаак благослови Яков и го изпрати в Падан-Арам да си вземе жена оттам, като го благослови и му поръча, и каза: Да не вземеш жена от ханаанските дъщери;

And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padan–aram;

и че Яков послуша баща си и майка си и отиде в Падан-Арам,

And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;

Исав видя, че ханаанските дъщери бяха омразни в очите на баща му Исаак.

Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.

И Исав отиде при Исмаил и освен другите си жени взе за жена и Маелета, дъщеря на Авраамовия син Исмаил, сестра на Наваиот.

And Jacob went out from Beer–sheba, and went toward Haran.

И така, Яков излезе от Вирсавее и отиде към Харан.

And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.

И стигна на едно място и пренощува там, защото слънцето беше залязло. И взе един от камъните на мястото и го сложи за възглавница, и легна да спи на това място.

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

И сънува, и ето, стълба изправена на земята, чийто връх стигаше до небето, и Божиите ангели се качваха и слизаха по нея.

And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

И ГОСПОД стоеше над нея и каза: Аз съм ГОСПОД, Бог на баща ти Авраам и Бог на Исаак. Земята, на която лежиш, ще дам на теб и на потомството ти.

And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Твоето потомство ще бъде многочислено като земния пясък, ти ще се разшириш към запад и към изток, към север и към юг и в теб и в твоето потомство ще се благословят всички племена на земята.

And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

Ето, Аз съм с теб и ще те пазя, където и да отидеш, и ще те върна пак в тази земя, защото няма да те оставя, докато не извърша това, за което ти говорих.

And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

А когато Яков се събуди от съня си, каза: Наистина ГОСПОД е на това място, а аз не съм знаел.

And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

И се убоя, и каза: Колко е страшно това място! Това не е друго освен Божи дом, това е врата небесна.

And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

На сутринта Яков стана рано, взе камъка, който си беше сложил за възглавница, изправи го за стълб и изля масло на върха му.

And he called the name of that place Beth–el: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.

И нарече онова място Ветил, а преди това името на града беше Луз.

And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,

Тогава Яков се обрече и каза: Ако Бог бъде с мен и ме запази в това пътуване, по което отивам, и ми даде хляб да ям и дрехи да се облека,

So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:

и се завърна с мир в бащиния си дом, тогава ГОСПОД ще бъде мой Бог,

And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.

и този камък, който изправих за стълб, ще бъде Божи дом, и от всичко, което ми дадеш, ще дам десятък на Теб.
