II Samuel 19

And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weepeth and mourneth for Absalom.

И съобщиха на Йоав: Ето, царят плаче и жалее за Авесалом.

And the victory that day was turned into mourning unto all the people: for the people heard say that day how the king was grieved for his son.

И в онзи ден победата се обърна в жалеене за целия народ, защото народът чу да се казва в онзи ден: Царят е опечален за сина си.

And the people gat them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.

И в онзи ден народът се прокрадваше в града, както се прокрадва посрамен народ, който е побягнал в боя.

But the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!

А царят покри лицето си и царят викаше със силен глас: О, сине мой Авесаломе! Авесаломе, сине мой, сине мой!

And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, Thou hast shamed this day the faces of all thy servants, which this day have saved thy life, and the lives of thy sons and of thy daughters, and the lives of thy wives, and the lives of thy concubines;

Тогава Йоав влезе в къщата при царя и каза: Днес ти посрами лицата на всичките си слуги, които спасиха днес живота ти и живота на синовете ти и на дъщерите ти, и живота на жените ти, и живота на наложниците ти,

In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased thee well.

като обичаш онези, които те мразят, и мразиш онези, които те обичат! Защото днес ти показа, че военачалници и слуги не са нищо за теб. Днес аз зная, че ако Авесалом беше жив, а всички ние бяхме мъртви днес, това щеше да ти се види добро.

Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now.

Затова сега стани, излез и говори на сърцето на слугите си, защото кълна се в ГОСПОДА, че ако не излезеш, и един човек няма да остане с теб тази нощ! И това ще бъде по-лошо за теб от цялото зло, което те е сполетявало от младостта ти досега.

Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king doth sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent.

Тогава царят стана и седна в портата. И съобщиха на целия народ и казаха: Ето, царят седи в портата. Тогава целият народ дойде пред царя. А Израил беше побягнал, всеки в шатрата си.

And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.

И целият народ се караше във всичките израилеви племена и казваше: Царят ни избави от ръката на враговете ни и ни спаси от ръката на филистимците. А сега побягна от земята заради Авесалом,

And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak ye not a word of bringing the king back?

но Авесалом, когото помазахме за цар над нас, умря в битката. И сега, защо не говорите да върнем царя?

And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are ye the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel is come to the king, even to his house.

И цар Давид изпрати до свещениците Садок и Авиатар и каза: Говорете на юдовите старейшини и кажете: Защо вие сте последни да върнете царя в дома му? — защото думата на целия Израил стигна до царя, до дома му.

Ye are my brethren, ye are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are ye the last to bring back the king?

Вие сте мои братя, вие сте моя кост и моя плът. Защо тогава сте последни да върнете царя?

And say ye to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

И кажете на Амаса: Ти не си ли моя кост и моя плът? Така да ми направи Бог и така да прибави, ако не бъдеш военачалник пред мен вместо Йоав през всички дни!

And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as the heart of one man; so that they sent this word unto the king, Return thou, and all thy servants.

И той наклони сърцата на всичките юдови мъже като на един човек и те изпратиха до царя да му кажат: Върни се, ти и всичките ти слуги!

So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.

И царят се върна и дойде до Йордан. И Юда дойде до Галгал да посрещне царя и да преведе царя през Йордан.

And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, which was of Bahurim, hasted and came down with the men of Judah to meet king David.

Тогава вениаминецът Семей, синът на Гира, който беше от Ваурим, побърза и слезе с юдовите мъже да посрещне цар Давид.

And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.

И с него бяха хиляда мъже от Вениамин и Сива, слугата на Сауловия дом, и с него петнадесетте му сина и двадесетте му слуги. Те преминаха Йордан пред царя.

And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;

И един сал премина, за да преведе царското семейство и да вършат, каквото му се видеше добро. А Семей, синът на Гира, падна пред царя, когато той щеше да премине Йордан.

And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

И каза на царя: Нека господарят ми не ми счита беззаконието и нека не помни злото, което слугата ти извърши в деня, когато господарят ми, царят, излизаше от Ерусалим, за да го вземе царят присърце!

For thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

Защото слугата ти знае, че съгреших! Затова, ето, дойдох днес пръв от целия йосифов дом, за да сляза и да посрещна господаря си, царя.

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD'S anointed?

Но Ависей, синът на Саруя, отговори и каза: Не трябва ли да бъде убит Семей, понеже прокле ГОСПОДНИЯ помазаник?

And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

А Давид каза: Какво общо имам аз с вас, синове на Саруя, че днес искате да ми станете противници? Може ли да бъде убит днес човек в Израил? Не зная ли, че днес аз съм цар над Израил?

Therefore the king said unto Shimei, Thou shalt not die. And the king sware unto him.

И царят каза на Семей: Няма да умреш. И царят му се закле.

And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.

И Мемфивостей, синът на Саул, слезе да посрещне царя. А той нито беше измил краката си, нито беше сресал брадата си, нито беше изпрал дрехите си от деня, когато царят замина, до деня, когато се върна с мир.

And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore wentest not thou with me, Mephibosheth?

И когато дойде от Ерусалим да посрещне царя, царят му каза: Защо не дойде с мен, Мемфивостей?

And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for thy servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because thy servant is lame.

А той отговори: Господарю мой, царю, слугата ми ме измами! Защото слугата ти каза: Ще си оседлая магарето, за да яздя на него и да отида с царя — понеже слугата ти е куц.

And he hath slandered thy servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in thine eyes.

А той е наклеветил слугата ти пред господаря ми, царя. Но господарят ми, царят, е като Божия Ангел, затова направи, каквото ти се вижда добро!

For all of my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that did eat at thine own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?

Защото целият ми бащин дом не беше нищо друго освен мъртъвци пред господаря ми, царя, и въпреки това ти постави слугата си сред онези, които ядяха на трапезата ти. Затова какво право имам аз и защо да се оплаквам още на царя?

And the king said unto him, Why speakest thou any more of thy matters? I have said, Thou and Ziba divide the land.

А царят му каза: Защо говориш още за работите си? Аз казах: Ти и Сива да си разделите земята.

And Mephibosheth said unto the king, Yea, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king is come again in peace unto his own house.

А Мемфивостей каза на царя: И всичко нека вземе, след като господарят ми, царят, се върна с мир в дома си!

And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.

А галаадецът Верзелай слезе от Рогелим и премина Йордан с царя, за да го изпрати през Йордан.

Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.

А Верзелай беше много стар, на осемдесет години. Той беше осигурявал прехраната на царя, докато той стоеше в Маханаим, защото беше много богат човек.

And the king said unto Barzillai, Come thou over with me, and I will feed thee with me in Jerusalem.

И царят каза на Верзелай: Премини с мен и аз ще ти осигуря прехраната при мен в Ерусалим.

And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?

А Верзелай каза на царя: Колко ми остава още да живея, за да се изкача с царя в Ерусалим?

I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?

Днес аз съм на осемдесет години. Мога ли да различавам между добро и лошо? Или може ли слугата ти да усеща какво ям или какво пия? Или мога ли вече да чувам гласа на певците или на певиците? Защо тогава слугата ти да бъде допълнителна тежест на господаря ми, царя?

Thy servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?

Слугата ти ще премине Йордан с царя само за малко. Защо трябва царят да ми дава такава отплата?

Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee.

Моля те, нека слугата ти се върне, за да умра в града си, при гроба на баща си и майка си. Ето обаче, слугата ти Хамам, нека той премине с господаря ми, царя. Направи за него, каквото ти се вижда добре.

And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require of me, that will I do for thee.

И царят отговори: Хамам ще премине с мен и аз ще направя за него, каквото ти се вижда добре. И каквото и да поискаш от мен, ще го направя за теб.

And all the people went over Jordan. And when the king was come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; and he returned unto his own place.

И целият народ премина Йордан и царят също премина. Тогава царят целуна Верзелай и го благослови и той се върна на мястото си.

Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.

А царят продължи до Галгал и Хамам продължи с него. И целият народ на Юда, а също половината от народа на Израил преведе царя.

And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen thee away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David's men with him, over Jordan?

И ето, всичките израилеви мъже дойдоха при царя и казаха на царя: Защо те откраднаха братята ни, юдовите мъже, и преведоха през Йордан царя и дома му, и всичките мъже на Давид с него?

And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then be ye angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king's cost? or hath he given us any gift?

Тогава всичките юдови мъже отговориха на израилевите мъже: Защото царят ми е сродник. Защо се сърдиш за това нещо? Ядохме ли нещо за сметка на царя, или ни даде някакъв подарък?

And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.

А израилевите мъже отговориха на юдовите мъже и казаха: Аз имам десет части в царя и имам по-голямо право над Давид от теб. Защо ме презря? Не беше ли моята дума първа да се върне обратно царят ми? Но думите на юдовите мъже бяха по-остри от думите на израилевите мъже.
