Psalms 15

Jehova, wer wird in deinem Zelte weilen? Wer wird wohnen auf deinem heiligen Berge?

LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

Der in Lauterkeit wandelt und Gerechtigkeit wirkt und Wahrheit redet von Herzen,

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Nicht verleumdet mit seiner Zunge, kein Übel tut seinem Genossen, und keine Schmähung bringt auf seinen Nächsten;

He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

In dessen Augen verachtet ist der Verworfene, der aber die ehrt, welche Jehova fürchten; hat er zum Schaden geschworen, so ändert er es nicht:

In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

Der sein Geld nicht auf Zins gibt, und kein Geschenk nimmt wider den Unschuldigen. Wer solches tut, wird nicht wanken in Ewigkeit.

He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
