Judges 19

А в онези дни, когато нямаше цар в Израил, имаше един левит, който живееше в покрайнините на хълмистата земя на Ефрем. Той си взе наложница от Витлеем Юдейски.

And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the side of mount Ephraim, who took to him a concubine out of Beth–lehem–judah.

Но наложницата му блудства против него и си отиде от него в бащиния си дом във Витлеем Юдейски, и остана там известно време, четири месеца.

And his concubine played the whore against him, and went away from him unto her father's house to Beth–lehem–judah, and was there four whole months.

Тогава мъжът й стана и отиде след нея, за да й говори с добро и да я върне, и взе със себе си слугата си и две магарета. И тя го заведе в бащиния си дом; и когато бащата на младата жена го видя, го посрещна с радост.

And her husband arose, and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again, having his servant with him, and a couple of asses: and she brought him into her father's house: and when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him.

И тъстът му, бащата на младата жена, го задържа и той остана при него три дни; и ядоха и пиха, и нощуваха там.

And his father in law, the damsel's father, retained him; and he abode with him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there.

А на четвъртия ден станаха рано сутринта и той се вдигна да си отиде; но бащата на младата жена каза на зет си: Подкрепи сърцето си с малко хляб и после ще си отидете.

And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early in the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel's father said unto his son in law, Comfort thine heart with a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way.

И те седнаха и ядоха и пиха двамата заедно; и бащата на младата жена каза на мъжа: Склони, моля те, да останеш през нощта, и нека се развесели сърцето ти.

And they sat down, and did eat and drink both of them together: for the damsel's father had said unto the man, Be content, I pray thee, and tarry all night, and let thine heart be merry.

А когато мъжът стана, за да си отиде, тъстът му го принуди и той пак пренощува там.

And when the man rose up to depart, his father in law urged him: therefore he lodged there again.

А на петия ден той стана да си отиде рано сутринта, но бащата на младата жена каза: Моля те, подкрепи сърцето си и чакай, докато превали денят. И двамата ядоха.

And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart: and the damsel's father said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them.

И когато човекът стана да си отиде — той и наложницата му, и слугата му — тъстът му, бащата на младата жена, му каза: Ето сега, денят наближава към вечерта; моля ви, пренощувайте. Ето, денят е на свършване; пренощувай тук и нека се развесели сърцето ти; а утре тръгнете на път рано, за да си отидеш в шатрата си.

And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home.

Но човекът не пожела да пренощува; и стана и тръгна, и дойде срещу Евус, който е Ерусалим. А с него имаше две оседлани магарета и наложницата му беше с него.

But the man would not tarry that night, but he rose up and departed, and came over against Jebus, which is Jerusalem; and there were with him two asses saddled, his concubine also was with him.

И когато бяха близо до Евус и денят беше почти преминал, слугата каза на господаря си: Ела, моля те, и нека влезем в този евусейски град и да пренощуваме в него.

And when they were by Jebus, the day was far spent; and the servant said unto his master, Come, I pray thee, and let us turn in into this city of the Jebusites, and lodge in it.

Но господарят му му каза: Няма да влезем в град на чужденци, които не са от израилевите синове, а ще продължим до Гавая.

And his master said unto him, We will not turn aside hither into the city of a stranger, that is not of the children of Israel; we will pass over to Gibeah.

И каза на слугата си: Ела да се приближим до едно от тези места и да пренощуваме в Гавая или в Рама.

And he said unto his servant, Come, and let us draw near to one of these places to lodge all night, in Gibeah, or in Ramah.

И те отминаха Евус и продължиха; и слънцето залезе над тях близо до Гавая, която принадлежи на Вениамин.

And they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon them when they were by Gibeah, which belongeth to Benjamin.

И те се отбиха там, за да влязат да пренощуват в Гавая. И той влезе и седна на площада на града, защото никой не ги прибираше в къщата си, за да пренощуват.

And they turned aside thither, to go in and to lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city: for there was no man that took them into his house to lodging.

И ето, един старец идваше от работата си на полето вечерта. А този човек беше от хълмистата земя на Ефрем и беше чужденец в Гавая, а местните хора бяха вениаминци.

And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.

И като повдигна очи, той видя пътника на площада на града. И старецът каза: Накъде отиваш и откъде идваш?

And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man in the street of the city: and the old man said, Whither goest thou? and whence comest thou?

А той му каза: Ние пътуваме от Витлеем Юдейски към покрайнините на хълмистата земя на Ефрем, защото аз съм оттам. Ходих до Витлеем Юдейски и сега вървя с ГОСПОДНИЯ дом, но никой не ме прибира в къщата си.

And he said unto him, We are passing from Beth–lehem–judah toward the side of mount Ephraim; from thence am I: and I went to Beth–lehem–judah, but I am now going to the house of the LORD; and there is no man that receiveth me to house.

А ние си имаме и слама, и храна за магаретата си, и хляб и вино за мен, за слугинята ти и за младежа, който е със слугите ти; не ни липсва нищо.

Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any thing.

И старецът каза: Мир на теб! Но нека аз се погрижа за всичките ти нужди; само не оставай през нощта на площада.

And the old man said, Peace be with thee; howsoever let all thy wants lie upon me; only lodge not in the street.

И той го заведе в къщата си и даде храна на магаретата. И те си измиха краката и ядоха, и пиха.

So he brought him into his house, and gave provender unto the asses: and they washed their feet, and did eat and drink.

И като веселяха сърцата си, ето, градските мъже, мъже, които бяха зли мъже, заобиколиха къщата, като блъскаха по вратата и говореха на стареца, домакина, и казваха: Изведи мъжа, който влезе в къщата ти, за да го познаем!

Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.

А човекът, домакинът на дома, излезе при тях и им каза: Недейте, братя мои! Моля ви, не вършете това зло! След като този човек е дошъл в дома ми, не правете това безумие!

And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.

Ето девствената ми дъщеря и неговата наложница; нека тях ви изведа навън сега, тях опозорете и с тях сторете каквото искате; но на този човек не правете такова безумно нещо!

Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.

Но мъжете не искаха да го слушат. Тогава човекът взе наложницата си и им я изведе навън. И те я познаха и се гавриха с нея през цялата нощ до сутринта; и като се зазори, я пуснаха.

But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.

И на зазоряване жената дойде и падна при вратата на къщата на човека, където беше господарят й, и лежа там до съмване.

Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light.

Когато господарят й стана на сутринта и отвори вратите на къщата, и излезе, за да си отиде по пътя, ето, жената, наложницата му, беше там, паднала на входа на къщата с ръце на прага.

And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold.

И той й каза: Стани да си вървим. Но никой не отговори. Тогава той я вдигна на магарето и човекът стана и отиде на мястото си.

And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place.

И когато дойде в къщата си, взе нож, хвана наложницата си и я разсече на дванадесет части, с костите й, и я изпрати по всичките области на Израил.

And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel.

И всички, които видяха това, казаха: Такова нещо не е ставало, нито се е виждало от деня, в който израилевите синове излязоха от египетската земя, до днес. Размислете за това, съветвайте се и говорете!

And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take advice, and speak your minds.
