Jeremiah 15

پھر رب مجھ سے ہم کلام ہوا، ”اب سے میرا دل اِس قوم کی طرف مائل نہیں ہو گا، خواہ موسیٰ اور سموایل میرے سامنے آ کر اُن کی شفاعت کیوں نہ کریں۔ اُنہیں میرے حضور سے نکال دے، وہ چلے جائیں!

Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

اگر وہ تجھ سے پوچھیں، ’ہم کدھر جائیں؟‘ تو اُنہیں جواب دے، ’رب فرماتا ہے کہ جسے مرنا ہے وہ مرے، جسے تلوار کی زد میں آنا ہے وہ تلوار کا لقمہ بنے، جسے بھوکوں مرنا ہے وہ بھوکوں مرے، جسے قید میں جانا ہے وہ قید ہو جائے‘۔“

And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”مَیں اُنہیں چار قسم کی سزا دوں گا۔ ایک، تلوار اُنہیں قتل کرے گی۔ دوسرے، کُتے اُن کی لاشیں گھسیٹ کر لے جائیں گے۔ تیسرے اور چوتھے، پرندے اور درندے اُنہیں کھا کھا کر ختم کر دیں گے۔

And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.

جب مَیں اپنی قوم سے نپٹ لوں گا تو دنیا کے تمام ممالک اُس کی حالت دیکھ کر کانپ اُٹھیں گے۔ اُن کے رونگٹے کھڑے ہو جائیں گے جب وہ یہوداہ کے بادشاہ منسّی بن حِزقیاہ کی اُن شریر حرکتوں کا انجام دیکھیں گے جو اُس نے یروشلم میں کی ہیں۔

And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.

اے یروشلم، کون تجھ پر ترس کھائے گا، کون ہم دردی کا اظہار کرے گا؟ کون تیرے گھر آ کر تیرا حال پوچھے گا؟“

For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?

رب فرماتا ہے، ”تُو نے مجھے رد کیا، اپنا منہ مجھ سے پھیر لیا ہے۔ اب مَیں اپنا ہاتھ تیرے خلاف بڑھا کر تجھے تباہ کر دوں گا۔ کیونکہ مَیں ہم دردی دکھاتے دکھاتے تنگ آ گیا ہوں۔

Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.

جس طرح گندم کو ہَوا میں اُچھال کر بھوسے سے الگ کیا جاتا ہے اُسی طرح مَیں اُنہیں ملک کے دروازوں کے سامنے پھٹکوں گا۔ چونکہ میری قوم نے اپنے غلط راستوں کو ترک نہ کیا اِس لئے مَیں اُسے بےاولاد بنا کر برباد کر دوں گا۔

And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people, since they return not from their ways.

اُس کی بیوائیں سمندر کی ریت جیسی بےشمار ہوں گی۔ دوپہر کے وقت ہی مَیں نوجوانوں کی ماؤں پر تباہی نازل کروں گا، اچانک ہی اُن پر پیچ و تاب اور دہشت چھا جائے گی۔

Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.

سات بچوں کی ماں نڈھال ہو کر جان سے ہاتھ دھو بیٹھے گی۔ دن کے وقت ہی اُس کا سورج ڈوب جائے گا، اُس کا فخر اور عزت جاتی رہے گی۔ جو لوگ بچ جائیں گے اُنہیں مَیں دشمن کے آگے آگے تلوار سے مار ڈالوں گا۔“ یہ رب کا فرمان ہے۔

She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD.

اے میری ماں، مجھ پر افسوس! افسوس کہ تُو نے مجھ جیسے شخص کو جنم دیا جس کے ساتھ پورا ملک جھگڑتا اور لڑتا ہے۔ گو مَیں نے نہ اُدھار دیا نہ لیا توبھی سب مجھ پر لعنت کرتے ہیں۔

Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.

رب نے جواب دیا، ”یقیناً مَیں تجھے مضبوط کر کے اپنا اچھا مقصد پورا کروں گا۔ یقیناً مَیں ہونے دوں گا کہ مصیبت کے وقت دشمن تجھ سے منت کرے۔

The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

کیونکہ کوئی اُس لوہے کو توڑ نہیں سکے گا جو شمال سے آئے گا، ہاں لوہے اور پیتل کا وہ سریا توڑا نہیں جائے گا۔

Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?

مَیں تیرے خزانے دشمن کو مفت میں دوں گا۔ تجھے تمام گناہوں کا اجر ملے گا جب وہ پورے ملک میں تیری دولت لُوٹنے آئے گا۔

Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.

تب مَیں تجھے دشمن کے ذریعے ایک ملک میں پہنچا دوں گا جس سے تُو ناواقف ہے۔ کیونکہ میرے غضب کی بھڑکتی آگ تجھے بھسم کر دے گی۔“

And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.

اے رب، تُو سب کچھ جانتا ہے۔ مجھے یاد کر، میرا خیال کر، تعاقب کرنے والوں سے میرا انتقام لے! اُنہیں یہاں تک برداشت نہ کر کہ آخرکار میرا صفایا ہو جائے۔ اِسے دھیان میں رکھ کہ میری رُسوائی تیری ہی خاطر ہو رہی ہے۔

O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.

اے رب، لشکروں کے خدا، جب بھی تیرا کلام مجھ پر نازل ہوا تو مَیں نے اُسے ہضم کیا، اور میرا دل اُس سے خوش و خرم ہوا۔ کیونکہ مجھ پر تیرے ہی نام کا ٹھپا لگا ہے۔

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

جب دیگر لوگ رنگ رلیوں میں اپنے دل بہلاتے تھے تو مَیں کبھی اُن کے ساتھ نہ بیٹھا، کبھی اُن کی باتوں سے لطف اندوز نہ ہوا۔ نہیں، تیرا ہاتھ مجھ پر تھا، اِس لئے مَیں دوسروں سے دُور ہی بیٹھا رہا۔ کیونکہ تُو نے میرے دل کو قوم پر قہر سے بھر دیا تھا۔

I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.

کیا وجہ ہے کہ میرا درد کبھی ختم نہیں ہوتا، کہ میرا زخم لاعلاج ہے اور کبھی نہیں بھرتا؟ تُو میرے لئے فریب دہ چشمہ بن گیا ہے، ایسی ندی جس کے پانی پر اعتماد نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔

Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?

رب جواب میں فرماتا ہے، ”اگر تُو میرے پاس واپس آئے تو مَیں تجھے واپس آنے دوں گا، اور تُو دوبارہ میرے سامنے حاضر ہو سکے گا۔ اور اگر تُو فضول باتیں نہ کرے بلکہ میرے لائق الفاظ بولے تو میرا ترجمان ہو گا۔ لازم ہے کہ لوگ تیری طرف رجوع کریں، لیکن خبردار، کبھی اُن کی طرف رجوع نہ کر!“

Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”مَیں تجھے پیتل کی مضبوط دیوار بنا دوں گا تاکہ تُو اِس قوم کا سامنا کر سکے۔ یہ تجھ سے لڑیں گے لیکن تجھ پر غالب نہیں آئیں گے، کیونکہ مَیں تیرے ساتھ ہوں، مَیں تیری مدد کر کے تجھے بچائے رکھوں گا۔

And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

مَیں تجھے بےدینوں کے ہاتھ سے بچاؤں گا اور فدیہ دے کر ظالموں کی گرفت سے چھڑاؤں گا۔“

And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.
