Psalms 14

Εις τον πρωτον μουσικον. Ψαλμος του Δαβιδ. Ειπεν ο αφρων εν τη καρδια αυτου, δεν υπαρχει Θεος. Διεφθαρησαν εγειναν βδελυροι εις τα εργα δεν υπαρχει πραττων αγαθον.

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Ο Κυριος διεκυψεν εξ ουρανου επι τους υιους των ανθρωπων δια να ιδη εαν ηναι τις εχων συνεσιν, εκζητων τον Θεον.

The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Παντες εξεκλιναν, ομου εξηχρειωθησαν δεν υπαρχει πραττων αγαθον δεν υπαρχει ουδε εις.

They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Δεν εχουσι γνωσιν παντες οι εργαζομενοι την ανομιαν, οι κατατρωγοντες τον λαον μου ως βρωσιν αρτου; τον Κυριον δεν επεκαλεσθησαν.

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

Εκει εφοβηθησαν φοβον διοτι ο Θεος ειναι εν τη γενεα των δικαιων.

There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

Κατησχυνατε την βουλην του πτωχου, διοτι ο Κυριος ειναι η καταφυγη αυτου.

Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

Τις θελει δωσει εκ Σιων την σωτηριαν του Ισραηλ; οταν ο Κυριος επιστρεψη τον λαον αυτου απο της αιχμαλωσιας, θελει αγαλλεσθαι ο Ιακωβ, θελει ευφραινεσθαι ο Ισραηλ.

Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
