Nahum 2

He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.

Kẻ tàn phá đã đến nghịch cũng ngươi; hãy giữ đồn lũy, canh phòng đường sá, thắt chặt lưng ngươi, và thâu góp cả sức mạnh ngươi!

For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.

Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va khôi phục sự vinh hiển của Gia-cốp như sự vinh hiển của Y-sơ-ra-ên, bởi những kẻ bóc lột đã bóc lột chúng nó, và đã phá hại những nhành nho chúng nó.

The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.

Thuẫn của những người mạnh là đỏ, những lính chiến nó mặc áo màu điều; trong ngày nó dàn trận, gang thép của xe cộ sẽ lòe ra như lửa, và gươm giáo đều lay động.

The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.

Những xe đi hỗn độn trong đường phố, và chạy đi chạy lại trong các đường rộng, thấy nó như những ngọn đuốc, và chạy như chớp!

He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.

The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.

And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.

Ðã nhứt định: hoàng hậu bị bóc lột và bị bắt đi; các nàng hầu hạ người đi theo, rên siếc như bò câu, và đấm ngực mình.

But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.

Vả, Ni-ni-ve, từ lâu nay nó đã như ao chứa nước. Nhưng bây giờ chúng nó chạy trốn! Có kẻ kêu rằng: Hãy đứng, hãy đứng! Song không ai quay lại!

Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.

Hãy cướp bạc, cướp vàng; vì của báu nó vô ngần, mọi đồ đạc quí nhiều vô số.

She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.

Nó đã bị tàn phá, trống không, và hủy hoại hết; lòng chúng nó tan chảy; đầu gối chúng nó chạm nhau; mọi lưng đều đau, hết thảy mặt đều xám ngắt.

Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them afraid?

Nào cái hang của sư tử, và nơi mà sư tử con nuôi nấng, là nơi sư tử đực, sư tử cái và con nó bước đi, mà không ai làm cho chúng nó sợ hãi bây giờ ở đâu?

The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.

Sư tử đực xé đủ mồi cho con nó, và bóp mồi cho sư tử cái, hang nó đầy mồi, ổ nó đầy của đã bắt được.

Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán rằng: Nầy, ta nghịch cùng ngươi, sẽ đốt xe cộ ngươi, và làm cho tan ra khỏi; gươm sẽ nuốt những sư tử con của ngươi; ta sẽ dứt mồi ngươi khỏi đất; và tiếng của những sứ giả ngươi sẽ không nghe nữa.
