Isaiah 56

Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”انصاف کو قائم رکھو اور وہ کچھ کیا کرو جو راست ہے، کیونکہ میری نجات قریب ہی ہے، اور میری راستی ظاہر ہونے کو ہے۔

Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

مبارک ہے وہ جو یوں راستی سے لپٹا رہے۔ مبارک ہے وہ جو سبت کے دن کی بےحرمتی نہ کرے بلکہ اُسے منائے، جو ہر بُرے کام سے گریز کرے۔“

Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

جو پردیسی رب کا پیروکار ہو گیا ہے وہ نہ کہے کہ بےشک رب مجھے اپنی قوم سے الگ کر رکھے گا۔ خواجہ سرا بھی نہ سوچے کہ ہائے، مَیں سوکھا ہوا درخت ہی ہوں!

For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

کیونکہ رب فرماتا ہے، ”جو خواجہ سرا میرے سبت کے دن منائیں، ایسے قدم اُٹھائیں جو مجھے پسند ہوں اور میرے عہد کے ساتھ لپٹے رہیں وہ بےفکر رہیں۔

Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

کیونکہ مَیں اُنہیں اپنے گھر اور اُس کی چاردیواری میں ایسی یادگار اور ایسا نام عطا کروں گا جو بیٹے بیٹیاں ملنے سے کہیں بہتر ہو گا۔ اور جو نام مَیں اُنہیں دوں گا وہ ابدی ہو گا، وہ کبھی نہیں مٹنے کا۔

Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

وہ پردیسی بھی بےفکر رہیں جو رب کے پیروکار بن کر اُس کی خدمت کرنا چاہتے، جو رب کا نام عزیز رکھ کر اُس کی عبادت کرتے، جو سبت کے دن کی بےحرمتی نہیں کرتے بلکہ اُسے مناتے اور جو میرے عہد کے ساتھ لپٹے رہتے ہیں۔

Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

کیونکہ مَیں اُنہیں اپنے مُقدّس پہاڑ کے پاس لا کر اپنے دعا کے گھر میں خوشی دلاؤں گا۔ جب وہ میری قربان گاہ پر اپنی بھسم ہونے والی اور ذبح کی قربانیاں چڑھائیں گے تو وہ مجھے پسند آئیں گی۔ کیونکہ میرا گھر تمام قوموں کے لئے دعا کا گھر کہلائے گا۔“

The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

رب قادرِ مطلق جو اسرائیل کی بکھری ہوئی قوم جمع کر رہا ہے فرماتا ہے، ”اُن میں جو اکٹھے ہو چکے ہیں مَیں اَور بھی جمع کر دوں گا۔“

All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.

اے میدان کے تمام حیوانو، آؤ! اے جنگل کے تمام جانورو، آ کر کھاؤ!

His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

اسرائیل کے پہرے دار اندھے ہیں، سب کے سب کچھ بھی نہیں جانتے۔ سب کے سب بہرے کُتے ہیں جو بھونک ہی نہیں سکتے۔ فرش پر لیٹے ہوئے وہ اچھے اچھے خواب دیکھتے رہتے ہیں۔ اونگھنا اُنہیں کتنا پسند ہے!

Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

لیکن یہ کُتے لالچی بھی ہیں اور کبھی سیر نہیں ہوتے، حالانکہ گلہ بان کہلاتے ہیں۔ وہ سمجھ سے خالی ہیں، اور ہر ایک اپنی اپنی راہ پر دھیان دے کر اپنے ہی نفع کی تلاش میں رہتا ہے۔

Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

ہر ایک آواز دیتا ہے، ”آؤ، مَیں مَے لے آتا ہوں! آؤ، ہم جی بھر کر شراب پی لیں۔ اور کل بھی آج کی طرح ہو بلکہ اِس سے بھی زیادہ رونق ہو!“
