Isaiah 54

54:1

Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”خوشی کے نعرے لگا، تُو جو بےاولاد ہے، جو بچے کو جنم ہی نہیں دے سکتی۔ بلند آواز سے شادیانہ بجا، تُو جسے پیدائش کا درد نہ ہوا۔ کیونکہ اب ترک کی ہوئی عورت کے بچے شادی شدہ عورت کے بچوں سے زیادہ ہیں۔

54:2

Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

اپنے خیمے کو بڑا بنا، اُس کے پردے ہر طرف بچھا! بچت مت کرنا! خیمے کے رسّے لمبے لمبے کر کے میخیں مضبوطی سے زمین میں ٹھونک دے۔

54:3

For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

کیونکہ تُو تیزی سے دائیں اور بائیں طرف پھیل جائے گی، اور تیری اولاد دیگر قوموں پر قبضہ کر کے تباہ شدہ شہروں کو از سرِ نو آباد کرے گی۔

54:4

Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

مت ڈرنا، تیری رُسوائی نہیں ہو گی۔ شرم سار نہ ہو، تیری بےحرمتی نہیں ہو گی۔ اب تُو اپنی جوانی کی شرمندگی بھول جائے گی، تیرے ذہن سے بیوہ ہونے کی ذلت اُتر جائے گی۔

54:5

For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

کیونکہ تیرا خالق تیرا شوہر ہے، رب الافواج اُس کا نام ہے، اور تیرا چھڑانے والا اسرائیل کا قدوس ہے، جو پوری دنیا کا خدا کہلاتا ہے۔“

54:6

For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

تیرا خدا فرماتا ہے، ”تُو متروکہ اور دل سے مجروح بیوی کی مانند ہے، اُس عورت کی مانند جس کے شوہر نے اُسے رد کیا، گو اُس کی شادی اُس وقت ہوئی جب کنواری ہی تھی۔ لیکن اب مَیں، رب نے تجھے بُلایا ہے۔

54:7

For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

ایک ہی لمحے کے لئے مَیں نے تجھے ترک کیا، لیکن اب بڑے رحم سے تجھے جمع کروں گا۔

54:8

In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

مَیں نے اپنے غضب کا پورا زور تجھ پر نازل کر کے پل بھر کے لئے اپنا چہرہ تجھ سے چھپا لیا، لیکن اب ابدی شفقت سے تجھ پر رحم کروں گا۔“ رب تیرا چھڑانے والا یہ فرماتا ہے۔

54:9

For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

”بڑے سیلاب کے بعد مَیں نے نوح سے قَسم کھائی تھی کہ آئندہ سیلاب کبھی پوری زمین پر نہیں آئے گا۔ اِسی طرح اب مَیں قَسم کھا کر وعدہ کرتا ہوں کہ آئندہ نہ مَیں کبھی تجھ سے ناراض ہوں گا، نہ تجھے ملامت کروں گا۔
