Ezra 1

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

فارس کے بادشاہ خورس کی حکومت کے پہلے سال میں رب نے وہ کچھ پورا ہونے دیا جس کی پیش گوئی اُس نے یرمیاہ کی معرفت کی تھی۔ اُس نے خورس کو ذیل کا اعلان کرنے کی تحریک دی۔ یہ اعلان زبانی اور تحریری طور پر پوری بادشاہی میں کیا گیا۔

Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

”فارس کا بادشاہ خورس فرماتا ہے، رب آسمان کے خدا نے دنیا کے تمام ممالک میرے حوالے کر دیئے ہیں۔ اُس نے مجھے یہوداہ کے شہر یروشلم میں اُس کے لئے گھر بنانے کی ذمہ داری دی ہے۔

Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.

آپ میں سے جتنے اُس کی قوم کے ہیں یروشلم کے لئے روانہ ہو جائیں تاکہ وہاں رب اسرائیل کے خدا کے لئے گھر بنائیں، اُس خدا کے لئے جو یروشلم میں سکونت کرتا ہے۔ آپ کا خدا آپ کے ساتھ ہو۔

And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.

جہاں بھی اسرائیلی قوم کے بچے ہوئے لوگ رہتے ہیں، وہاں اُن کے پڑوسیوں کا فرض ہے کہ وہ سونے چاندی اور مال مویشی سے اُن کی مدد کریں۔ اِس کے علاوہ وہ اپنی خوشی سے یروشلم میں اللہ کے گھر کے لئے ہدیئے بھی دیں۔“

Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.

تب کچھ اسرائیلی روانہ ہو کر یروشلم میں رب کے گھر کو تعمیر کرنے کی تیاریاں کرنے لگے۔ اُن میں یہوداہ اور بن یمین کے خاندانی سرپرست، امام اور لاوی شامل تھے یعنی جتنے لوگوں کو اللہ نے تحریک دی تھی۔

And all they that were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all that was willingly offered.

اُن کے تمام پڑوسیوں نے اُنہیں سونا چاندی اور مال مویشی دے کر اُن کی مدد کی۔ اِس کے علاوہ اُنہوں نے اپنی خوشی سے بھی رب کے گھر کے لئے ہدیئے دیئے۔

Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his gods;

خورس بادشاہ نے وہ چیزیں واپس کر دیں جو نبوکدنضر نے یروشلم میں رب کے گھر سے لُوٹ کر اپنے دیوتا کے مندر میں رکھ دی تھیں۔

Even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them unto Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.

اُنہیں نکال کر فارس کے بادشاہ نے مِتردات خزانچی کے حوالے کر دیا جس نے سب کچھ گن کر یہوداہ کے بزرگ شیس بضر کو دے دیا۔

And this is the number of them: thirty chargers of gold, a thousand chargers of silver, nine and twenty knives,

جو فہرست اُس نے لکھی اُس میں ذیل کی چیزیں تھیں: سونے کے 30 باسن، چاندی کے 1,000 باسن، 29 چھریاں،

Thirty basons of gold, silver basons of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels a thousand.

سونے کے 30 پیالے، چاندی کے 410 پیالے، باقی چیزیں 1,000 عدد۔

All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up with them of the captivity that were brought up from Babylon unto Jerusalem.

سونے اور چاندی کی کُل 5,400 چیزیں تھیں۔ شیس بضر یہ سب کچھ اپنے ساتھ لے گیا جب وہ جلاوطنوں کے ساتھ بابل سے یروشلم کے لئے روانہ ہوا۔
