II Chronicles 1

And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

Και εκραταιωθη ο Σολομων ο υιος του Δαβιδ εις την βασιλειαν αυτου και Κυριος ο Θεος αυτου ητο μετ αυτου, και εμεγαλυνεν αυτον εις ακρον.

Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.

Και ελαλησεν ο Σολομων προς παντα τον Ισραηλ, προς τους χιλιαρχους και εκατονταρχους και προς τους κριτας και προς παντας τους αρχοντας παντος του Ισραηλ, τους αρχηγους των πατριων

So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.

και υπηγαν ο Σολομων και πασα η συναξις μετ αυτου εις τον υψηλον τοπον τον εν Γαβαων διοτι εκει ητο η σκηνη του μαρτυριου του Θεου, την οποιαν Μωυσης, ο δουλος του Κυριου, εκαμεν εν τη ερημω.

But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjath–jearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

Ο δε Δαβιδ ειχεν αναβιβασει την κιβωτον του Θεου απο Κιριαθ−ιαρειμ εις τον τοπον τον οποιον προητοιμασεν ο Δαβιδ δι αυτην διοτι ειχε στησει σκηνην δι αυτην εν Ιερουσαλημ.

Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

Και το χαλκουν θυσιαστηριον, το οποιον εκαμε Βεσελεηλ ο υιος του Ουρι, υιου του Ωρ, ητο εκει εμπροσθεν της σκηνης του Κυριου και εξεζητησαν αυτο ο Σολομων και η συναξις.

And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

Και ανεβη ο Σολομων εκει επι το χαλκουν θυσιαστηριον ενωπιον του Κυριου, το εν τη σκηνη του μαρτυριου, και προσεφερεν επ αυτο χιλια ολοκαυτωματα.

In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

Κατ εκεινην την νυκτα εφανη ο Θεος εις τον Σολομωντα και ειπε προς αυτον, Ζητησον τι να σοι δωσω.

And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.

Ο δε Σολομων ειπε προς τον Θεον, Συ εκαμες μεγα ελεος προς Δαβιδ τον πατερα μου, και με κατεστησας βασιλεα αντ αυτου

Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

τωρα, Κυριε Θεε, ας βεβαιωθη ο λογος σου ο προς τον Δαβιδ τον πατερα μου διοτι συ με εκαμες βασιλεα επι λαον πολυν ως το χωμα της γης

Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

δος τωρα εις εμε σοφιαν και συνεσιν, δια να εξερχωμαι και να εισερχωμαι εμπροσθεν του λαου τουτου διοτι τις δυναται να κρινη τον λαον σου τουτον τον μεγαν;

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

Και ειπεν ο Θεος προς τον Σολομωντα, Επειδη συνελαβες τουτο εν τη καρδια σου, και δεν εζητησας πλουτη, αγαθα και δοξαν ουδε την ζωην των μισουντων σε, ουδε πολυζωιαν εζητησας, αλλ εζητησας εις σεαυτον σοφιαν και συνεσιν, δια να κρινης τον λαον μου, επι τον οποιον σε εκαμα βασιλεα

Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

η σοφια και η συνεσις διδεται εις σε και πλουτον και αγαθα και δοξαν θελω δωσει εις σε, ως δεν εγεινεν εις τους βασιλεις τους προ σου, ουδε εις τους μετα σε θελουσι γεινει τοιαυτα.

Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.

Τοτε επεστρεψεν ο Σολομων εις Ιερουσαλημ, απο του υψηλου τοπου του εν Γαβαων, απ εμπροσθεν της σκηνης του μαρτυριου, και εβασιλευεν επι τον Ισραηλ.

And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

Και συνηθροισεν ο Σολομων αμαξας και ιππεις και ειχε χιλιας τετρακοσιας αμαξας και δωδεκα χιλιαδας ιππεων, τους οποιους εθεσεν εις τας πολεις των αμαξων και πλησιον του βασιλεως εν Ιερουσαλημ.

And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.

Και κατεστησεν εν Ιερουσαλημ ο βασιλευς τον αργυρον και τον χρυσον ως λιθους, και τας κεδρους κατεστησεν ως τας εν τη πεδιαδι συκαμινους, δια την αφθονιαν.

And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

Εγινετο δε εις τον Σολομωντα εξαγωγη ιππων και λινου νηματος εξ Αιγυπτου το μεν λινουν νημα ελαμβανον οι εμποροι του βασιλεως εις ωρισμενην τιμην.

And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means.

Ανεβιβαζον δε και εφερον εξ Αιγυπτου μιαν αμαξαν δια εξακοσιους σικλους αργυρους, και εκαστον ιππον δια εκατον πεντηκοντα και ουτω δια παντας τους βασιλεις των Χετταιων και δια τους βασιλεις της Συριας η εξαγωγη εγινετο δια χειρος αυτων.
