Isaiah 62

For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

برای تشویق اورشلیم سخن می‌گویم، و ساکت نخواهم شد تا او نجات یابد، و پیروزی او مثل چراغی در شب نمایان باشد.

And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

ای اورشلیم ملّتهای دیگر می‌بینند که تو پیروز شده‌ای! و تمام پادشاهان آنها جلال تو را خواهند دید. تو را به نامی تازه خواهند نامید، اسمی که خود خداوند به تو داده است.

Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

تو مثل تاج زیبایی برای خداوند خواهی بود.

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi–bah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

دیگر کسی تو را «ترک شده» و یا زمینت را «زن طرد شده» نخواهد خواند. اسم تازهٔ تو این است: «خداوند از او خشنود است.» و سرزمین تو را به عنوان «شوهردار» خواهند شناخت. چون خداوند از تو خشنود است، و برای سرزمین تو مثل شوهری خواهد بود.

For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

مثل جوانی که با دوشیزه‌ای ازدواج می‌کند، همین‌طور خالق تو با تو ازدواج می‌کند، همان‌طور که داماد از وجود عروس شاد است، همان‌طور خدای تو از تو خشنود خواهد بود.

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,

ای اورشلیم، من نگهبانانی بر روی دیوارهای تو گماشته‌ام که هیچ‌وقت -‌نه در شب و نه در روز- ساکت نخواهند بود. آنها باید خداوند را به یاد وعده‌هایش بیندازند و نگذارند آنها را فراموش کند.

And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

آنها نباید او را آرام بگذارند تا اورشلیم را مثل گذشته مستحکم و به صورت شهری مورد ستایش همهٔ جهان درآورد.

The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

خداوند با تو چنین پیمان بزرگی بسته و با قدرت خودش آن را به انجام خواهد رسانید. غلاّت شما دیگر غذای دشمنان شما نخواهد شد و بیگانگان شراب شما را نخواهند نوشید.

But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

امّا شما که غلّه را کاشتید و درو کردید، نان آن را می‌خورید و خدا را ستایش می‌کنید. شما، کسانی‌که تاکستانها را باغبانی می‌کنید و انگور آنها را می‌چینید، از شراب آنها در صحن معبد بزرگ من خواهید نوشید.

Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

ای مردم اورشلیم، از شهر خارج شوید و راهی برای بازگشت قوم خود بسازید! شاهراهی آماده کنید و سنگها را از سر راه بردارید! علامتی برای راهنمایی ملّتها قرار دهید،

Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

که خداوند به تمام جهان اعلام می‌کند: «به مردم اورشلیم بگویید که خداوند برای نجات شما می‌آید، و آنهایی را که آزاد ساخته با خود می‌آورد.»

And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

شما «قوم مقدّس خداوند» خوانده خواهید شد، «قومی که خداوند نجات داده است.» اورشلیم به نام «شهر محبوب خدا» و «شهری که خداوند آن را ترک نکرده» نامیده خواهد شد.
