Isaiah 17

Пророчество, наложено за Дамаск. Ето, Дамаск не е вече град, а ще бъде грамада развалини.

The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Градовете на Ароир са напуснати, ще бъдат за стада, те ще лежат и няма да има кой да ги плаши.

The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

И крепостта ще изчезне от Ефрем и царството — от Дамаск, и остатъкът — от Арам; те ще бъдат като славата на израилевите синове, заявява ГОСПОД на Войнствата.

The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.

И в онзи ден славата на Яков ще се смали и тлъстината на плътта му ще измършавее.

And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

И ще бъде както когато жетварят събира житото и пожъне с ръката си класовете. И ще бъде както когато събира някой класове в долината Рафаим.

And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.

Но ще остане в него пабирък, както при бруленето на маслини: две-три зърна на върха на високите клони, четири-пет на клоните на плодното дърво, заявява ГОСПОД, Израилевият Бог.

Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.

В онзи ден човекът ще погледне към Онзи, който го е направил, и очите му ще се взрат в Светия Израилев.

At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.

Няма да погледне към жертвениците, дело на ръцете му, и няма да се взре в онова, което направиха пръстите му, нито в ашерите, нито в кумирите на слънцето.

And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.

В онзи ден укрепените му градове ще бъдат като оставените места в гората и на планинския връх, които бяха оставени пред израилевите синове; и ще бъде пустош.

In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.

Понеже ти забрави Бога на спасението си и не си спомни за Канарата на силата си, затова садиш приятни насаждения и ги насаждаш с чужди фиданки.

Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:

В деня, когато ги насадиш, ги ограждаш с плет и сутрин правиш посятото си да цъфти; а жетвата отлита в ден на скръб и на неизцелима печал.

In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.

Горко на множеството на многото народи, те бучат като бученето на моретата и бушуването на народите — като бушуване на мощни води бушуват!

Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!

Народите бушуват като бушуването на големи води — Той ги смъмря и те бягат надалеч и биват гонени като плява по планините пред вятъра и като въртящ се прах пред вихрушката.

The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

Привечер, ето смущение, преди утрото вече ги няма! Това е делът на тези, които ни обират, и жребият на тези, които ни разграбват.

And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
