II Chronicles 1

И Соломон, синът на Давид, се укрепи в царството си. И ГОСПОД, неговият Бог, беше с него и го възвеличи извънредно много.

And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

И Соломон говори на целия Израил, на хилядниците и на стотниците, на съдиите и на всичките първенци от целия Израил, на началниците на бащините домове.

Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.

И те, Соломон и цялото събрание с него, отидоха на височината, която е в Гаваон, защото там беше Божият шатър за срещане, който ГОСПОДНИЯТ слуга Мойсей беше направил в пустинята.

So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.

А Давид беше пренесъл Божия ковчег от Кириат-Иарим на мястото, което Давид му беше приготвил — защото му беше разпънал шатър в Ерусалим.

But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjath–jearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

И бронзовият олтар, който Веселеил, синът на Урий, син на Ор, беше направил, беше там пред ГОСПОДНАТА скиния. И Соломон и събранието го потърсиха там.

Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

И Соломон принесе жертва там пред ГОСПОДА на бронзовия олтар, който беше пред шатъра за срещане, и принесе на него хиляда всеизгаряния.

And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

В онази нощ Бог се яви на Соломон и му каза: Искай какво да ти дам!

In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

А Соломон каза на Бога: Ти си оказал голяма милост на баща ми Давид и Ти си ме поставил за цар вместо него.

And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.

И сега, ГОСПОДИ Боже, нека се утвърди Твоето обещание към баща ми Давид; защото Ти ме направи цар над народ, многоброен като земния прах.

Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

Дай ми сега мъдрост и разум, за да излизам и да влизам пред този народ; защото кой може да съди този Твой голям народ?

Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

И Бог каза на Соломон: Понеже това ти беше на сърце и не поиска богатство, имоти и слава, нито живота на онези, които те мразят, нито поиска много дни, а поиска за себе си мъдрост и разум, за да съдиш народа Ми, над който те направих цар,

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

дават ти се мъдрост и разум. При това ще ти дам и богатство, и имоти, и слава, каквито не са имали царете, които са били преди теб, нито ще има някой след теб.

Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

Тогава Соломон се върна в Ерусалим от височината, която е в Гаваон от мястото пред шатъра за срещане. И той царуваше над Израил.

Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.

И Соломон събра колесници и конници и имаше хиляда и четиристотин колесници и дванадесет хиляди конници, и ги настани по градовете за колесниците и при царя в Ерусалим.

And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

И царят направи среброто и златото в Ерусалим като камъни и направи кедрите многобройни като черниците в низината.

And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.

И от Египет докарваха коне за Соломон; кервани от царски търговци ги купуваха на стада за определена цена.

And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

И една колесница, която се изнасяше и докарваше от Египет, се купуваше за шестстотин сребърни сикъла, а един кон — за сто и петдесет. И така се изнасяха и за всичките хетейски царе и за арамейските царе чрез ръката на търговците.

And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means.
