I Samuel 22

И Давид излезе оттам и избяга в пещерата Одолам. И когато братята му и целият му бащин дом чуха, слязоха там при него.

David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him.

И се събраха при него — всеки, който беше в беда, и всеки длъжник, и всеки, който беше недоволен — и той стана началник над тях. И с него имаше около четиристотин мъже.

And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.

После Давид отиде оттам в Масфа Моавска и каза на моавския цар: Моля те, нека дойдат баща ми и майка ми при вас, докато узная какво ще стори Бог с мен.

And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.

И той ги доведе пред моавския цар и те живяха с него през цялото време, докато Давид беше в крепостта.

And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.

А пророк Гад каза на Давид: Не стой в крепостта. Излез и иди в юдовата земя. И Давид отиде и влезе в гората Арет.

And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.

И Саул чу, че Давид и мъжете, които бяха с него, са били открити. Саул седеше в Гавая, под вечнозеленото дърво в Рама, с копието си в ръка и всичките му слуги стояха около него.

When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;)

И Саул каза на слугите си, които стояха около него: Чуйте сега, вениаминци! Есеевият син ще даде ли на всички ви ниви и лозя, ще направи ли всички ви хилядници и стотници,

Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds;

че всички вие сте се наговорили срещу мен и няма кой да ми открие, че синът ми е направил завет с Есеевия син; и няма нито един между вас, който да ме съжали и да ми открие, че синът ми е подбудил срещу мен слугата ми да постави засада, както е днес?

That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

Тогава едомецът Доик, който беше поставен над слугите на Саул, отговори и каза: Видях Есеевия син да идва в Ноб при Ахимелех, сина на Ахитов.

Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.

И той се допита до ГОСПОДА за него и му даде храна, даде му и меча на филистимеца Голиат.

And he enquired of the LORD for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.

Тогава царят изпрати да повикат свещеника Ахимелех, сина на Ахитов и целия му бащин дом — свещениците, които бяха в Ноб. И те всички дойдоха при царя.

Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king.

И Саул каза: Слушай сега, сине на Ахитов! А той отговори: Ето ме, господарю мой.

And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord.

Тогава Саул му каза: Защо сте се наговорили против мен, ти и Есеевият син, че си му дал хляб и меч и си се допитал до Бога за него, за да се надигне срещу мен да постави засада, както е днес?

And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

А Ахимелех отговори на царя и каза: А кой между всичките ти слуги е като Давид — верен, и зет на царя, който има достъп до теб и е почитан в дома ти?

Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?

Сега ли съм започнал да се допитвам до Бога за него? Далеч от мен това! Нека царят не приписва нищо на слугата си, нито на никого от бащиния ми дом, защото слугата ти не знаеше нищо за всичко това — нито малко, нито много!

Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.

Но царят каза: Непременно ще умреш, Ахимелех, ти и целият ти бащин дом!

And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father's house.

Тогава царят каза на телохранителите, които стояха около него: Обърнете се и убийте ГОСПОДНИТЕ свещеници, защото и тяхната ръка е с Давид, и защото са знаели, че той е бягал и не са ми съобщили! Но слугите на царя не желаеха да вдигнат ръка, за да нападнат ГОСПОДНИТЕ свещеници.

And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.

Тогава царят каза на Доик: Ти се обърни и нападни свещениците! И едомецът Доик се обърна и нападна свещениците, и уби в онзи ден осемдесет и пет мъже, които носеха ленен ефод.

And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.

И порази с острието на меча Ноб, града на свещениците — от мъж до жена, от дете до кърмаче, и говеда, и магарета, и овце — изби ги с острието на меча.

And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.

Но един от синовете на Ахимелех, сина на Ахитов, на име Авиатар, се избави и избяга след Давид.

And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David.

И Авиатар разказа на Давид, че Саул е избил ГОСПОДНИТЕ свещеници.

And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the LORD'S priests.

Тогава Давид каза на Авиатар: В онзи ден, когато едомецът Доик беше там, знаех, че непременно ще каже на Саул. Аз станах причина за смъртта на всички хора от бащиния ти дом.

And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father's house.

Остани с мен, не се страхувай — защото който търси моя живот, търси и твоя живот — защото с мен ще бъдеш в безопасност.

Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard.
