II Chronicles 31

Khi các việc ấy đã xong, những người Y-sơ-ra-ên có mặt tại đó đi ra các thành Giu-đa, đập bể những trụ thờ, đánh đổ các thần A-sê-ra, phá dỡ những nơi cao, và các bàn thờ trong khắp đất Giu-đa, Bên-gia-min, Ép-ra-im, và Ma-na-se, cho đến khi đã phá hủy hết thảy. Ðoạn, hết thảy dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ai nấy đều trở về thành mình, về nơi sản nghiệp mình.

Now when all this was finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities of Judah, and brake the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.

Ê-xê-chia lập lại các ban thứ của những thầy tế lễ và của người Lê-vi, tùy theo phần việc của mỗi người đặng dâng của lễ thiêu và của lễ thù ân, đặng phụng sự, cảm tạ, và hát ngợi khen Chúa tại nơi các cửa trại của Ðức Giê-hô-va.

And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of the LORD.

Người cũng định phần vua phải lấy trong tài sản mình đặng dùng làm của lễ thiêu về buổi sớm mai và buổi chiều, cùng dùng về những của lễ thiêu trong ngày sa-bát, ngày mồng một, và trong các này lễ trọng thể, y như đã chép trong luật pháp của Ðức Giê-hô-va.

He appointed also the king's portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, to wit, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of the LORD.

Người cũng truyền cho dân sự ở tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, phải cung cấp phần của những thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi, hầu cho chúng chuyện lo gìn giữ luật pháp của Ðức Giê-hô-va.

Moreover he commanded the people that dwelt in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might be encouraged in the law of the LORD.

Khi chỉ dụ của vua mới truyền ra, thì dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đem đến rất nhiều sản vật đầu mùa về ngũ cốc, rượu, dầu, mật, và những thổ sản khác; chúng đem đến một phần mười của mọi vật thật rất nhiều.

And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.

Người Y-sơ-ra-ên và người Giu-đa ở trong các thành xứ Giu-đa, cũng đều đem đến nộp một phần mười về bò và chiên, cùng một phần mười về các vật đã biệt riêng ra thánh cho Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của chúng, rồi để ra từng đống.

And concerning the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated unto the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps.

Tháng thứ ba, chúng khởi gom lại từng đống, và qua đến tháng bảy mới xong.

In the third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished them in the seventh month.

Khi Ê-xê-chia và các quan trưởng đến, thấy các đống ấy, thì ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va, và chúc phước cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Ngài.

And when Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD, and his people Israel.

Ê-xê-chia hỏi thăm những thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi về tích những đống ấy.

Then Hezekiah questioned with the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.

A-xa-ria, thầy tế lễ cả về dòng Xa-đốc, thưa lại cùng người mà rằng: Từ khi dân sự khởi đem lễ vật vào trong đền Ðức Giê-hô-va, thì chúng tôi có ăn được đầy đủ, và còn dư lại nhiều; vì Ðức Giê-hô-va đã ban phước cho dân sự Ngài; còn số nhiều này, ấy là phần dư lại.

And Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.

Ê-xê-chia truyền dọn dẹp các phòng trong đền Ðức Giê-hô-va; người ta bèn dọn dẹp,

Then Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of the LORD; and they prepared them,

rồi đem vào cách ngay thẳng các lễ vật, thuế một phần mười, và các vật thánh. Cô-na-nia, người Lê-vi, cai quản những vật ấy, và Si-mê -i, em người, làm phó;

And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.

còn Giê-hi-ên, A-xa-xia, Na-hát, A-sa-ên, Giê-ri-mốt, Giô-sa-bát, Ê-li-ên, Gít-ma-kia, Ma-hát, và Bê-na-gia, đều làm kẻ coi sóc dưới quyền Cô-na-nia và Si-mê -i, em người, cứ theo lịnh của vua Ê-xê-chia và A-xa-ria, là người cai trị đền Ðức Chúa Trời.

And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.

Cô-rê, con trai của Dim-na, người Lê-vi, là kẻ giữ cửa phía đông, được đặt cai quản các lễ vật lạc ý dâng cho Ðức Chúa Trời, đặng phân phát các lễ vật dâng cho Ðức Giê-hô-va và những vật rất thánh.

And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter toward the east, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of the LORD, and the most holy things.

Dưới tay người có Ê-đen, Min-gia-min, Giê-sua, Sê-ma-gia, A-ma-ria, và Sê-ca-nia, ở trong các thành thầy tế lễ, đặng phân phát lễ vật ấy cách công bình cho anh em mình, hoặc nhỏ hay lớn, thao ban thứ của họ.

And next him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their set office, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the great as to the small:

Ngoại trừ những nam đinh đã biên tên vào gia phổ từ ba tuổi sắp lên, tức những kẻ theo ban thứ mình mà vào đền Ðức Giê-hô-va đặng phụng sự trong chức mình, làm việc ngày nào theo ngày nấy;

Beside their genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, even unto every one that entereth into the house of the LORD, his daily portion for their service in their charges according to their courses;

lại phân phát cho những thầy tế lễ đã theo tông tộc mình mà ghi tên vào gia phổ, và cho người Lê-vi từ hai mươi tuổi sắp lên, tùy theo chức phận và ban thứ của họ;

Both to the genealogy of the priests by the house of their fathers, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their charges by their courses;

cùng phân phát cho hết thảy con nhỏ của họ, vợ họ, con trai và con gái họ, tức cả hội chúng ghi tên vào gia phổ; vì chúng thành tín biệt mình riêng ra đặng nên thánh.

And to the genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their set office they sanctified themselves in holiness:

Còn về con cháu A-rôn, tức là những thầy tế lễ ở trong đồng ruộng, rải rác nơi địa hạt các thành của họ, thì có đặt trong mỗi thành những người gọi từng tên, đặng phân phát phần cho hết thảy người nam trong những thầy tế lễ và cho những kẻ trong vòng người Lê-vi đã ghi tên vào gia phổ.

Also of the sons of Aaron the priests, which were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every several city, the men that were expressed by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all that were reckoned by genealogies among the Levites.

Trong khắp Giu-đa, Ê-xê-chia làm như vậy. Người làm những điều lành, ngay thẳng và chơn thành, tại trước mặt Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của người.

And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God.

Trong các việc người làm, hoặc quản lý sự phục dịch nơi đền của Ðức Chúa Trời, hoặc theo luật pháp hay là điều răn đặng tìm kiếm Ðức Chúa Trời của người, thì người hết lòng mà làm, và được hanh thông.

And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.
