Romans 10

Αδελφοι, η επιθυμια της καρδιας μου και η δεησις η προς τον Θεον υπερ του Ισραηλ ειναι δια την σωτηριαν αυτων

Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

διοτι μαρτυρω περι αυτων οτι εχουσι ζηλον Θεου, αλλ ουχι κατ επιγνωσιν.

For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

Επειδη μη γνωριζοντες την δικαιοσυνην του Θεου, και ζητουντες να συστησωσι την ιδιαν αυτων δικαιοσυνην, δεν υπεταχθησαν εις την δικαιοσυνην του Θεου.

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Επειδη το τελος του νομου ειναι ο Χριστος προς δικαιοσυνην εις παντα τον πιστευοντα.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Διοτι ο Μωυσης γραφει την δικαιοσυνην την εκ του νομου, λεγων οτι ο ανθρωπος ο καμνων ταυτα θελει ζησει δι αυτων

For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

η εκ πιστεως ομως δικαιοσυνη λεγει ουτω Μη ειπης εν τη καρδια σου, Τις θελει αναβη εις τον ουρανον; τουτεστι δια να καταβιβαση τον Χριστον.

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

η, Τις θελει καταβη εις την αβυσσον; τουτεστι δια να αναβιβαση τον Χριστον εκ νεκρων.

Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

Αλλα τι λεγει; Πλησιον σου ειναι ο λογος, εν τω στοματι σου και εν τη καρδια σου τουτεστιν ο λογος της πιστεως, τον οποιον κηρυττομεν.

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Οτι εαν ομολογησης δια του στοματος σου τον Κυριον Ιησουν, και πιστευσης εν τη καρδια σου οτι ο Θεος ανεστησεν αυτον εκ νεκρων, θελεις σωθη

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

διοτι με την καρδιαν πιστευει τις προς δικαιοσυνην, και με το στομα γινεται ομολογια προς σωτηριαν.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Διοτι λεγει η γραφη Πας ο πιστευων επ αυτον δεν θελει καταισχυνθη.

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Επειδη δεν ειναι διαφορα Ιουδαιου τε και Ελληνος διοτι ο αυτος Κυριος ειναι παντων, πλουσιος προς παντας τους επικαλουμενους αυτον

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

διοτι Πας οστις επικαλεσθη το ονομα του Κυριου θελει σωθη.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Πως λοιπον θελουσιν επικαλεσθη εκεινον, εις τον οποιον δεν επιστευσαν; και πως θελουσι πιστευσει εις εκεινον, περι του οποιου δεν ηκουσαν; και πως θελουσιν ακουσει χωρις να υπαρχη ο κηρυττων;

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Και πως θελουσι κηρυξει, εαν δεν αποσταλωσι; Καθως ειναι γεγραμμενον Ποσον ωραιοι οι ποδες των ευαγγελιζομενων ειρηνην, των ευαγγελιζομενων τα αγαθα.

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Αλλα δεν υπηκουσαν παντες εις το ευαγγελιον. Διοτι ο Ησαιας λεγει Κυριε, τις επιστευσεν εις το κηρυγμα ημων;

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

Αρα η πιστις ειναι εξ ακοης, η δε ακοη δια του λογου του Θεου.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Λεγω ομως, Μη δεν ηκουσαν; Μαλιστα εις πασαν την γην εξηλθεν ο φθογγος αυτων, Και εις τα περατα της οικουμενης οι λογοι αυτων.

But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

Αλλα λεγω, Μη δεν εγνωρισεν ο Ισραηλ; Πρωτος ο Μωυσης λεγει Εγω θελω σας παροξυνει εις ζηλοτυπιαν με τους μη εθνος, Θελω σας παροργισει με εθνος ασυνετον.

But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

Ο δε Ησαιας αποτολμα και λεγει Ευρεθην παρα των μη ζητουντων με, εφανερωθην εις τους μη ερωτωντας περι εμου.

But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.

Προς δε τον Ισραηλ λεγει Ολην την ημεραν εξετεινα τας χειρας μου προς λαον απειθουντα και αντιλεγοντα.

But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
