Psalms 94

Θεε των εκδικησεων, Κυριε, Θεε των εκδικησεων, εμφανηθι.

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Υψωθητι, Κριτα της γης αποδος ανταποδοσιν εις τους υπερηφανους.

Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

Εως ποτε οι ασεβεις, Κυριε, εως ποτε οι ασεβεις θελουσι θριαμβευει;

LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

Εως ποτε θελουσι προφερει και λαλει σκληρα; θελουσι καυχασθαι παντες οι εργαται της ανομιας;

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

Τον λαον σου, Κυριε, καταθλιβουσι και την κληρονομιαν σου κακοποιουσι.

They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

Την χηραν και τον ξενον φονευουσι και θανατονουσι τους ορφανους.

They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

Και λεγουσι, δεν θελει ιδει ο Κυριος ουδε θελει νοησει ο Θεος του Ιακωβ.

Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

Εννοησατε, οι αφρονες μεταξυ του λαου και οι μωροι, ποτε θελετε φρονιμευσει;

Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

Ο φυτευσας το ωτιον, δεν θελει ακουσει; ο πλασας τον οφθαλμον, δεν θελει ιδει;

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

Ο σωφρονιζων τα εθνη, δεν θελει ελεγξει; ο διδασκων τον ανθρωπον γνωσιν;

He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

Ο Κυριος γνωριζει τους διαλογισμους των ανθρωπων, οτι ειναι ματαιοι.

The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

Μακαριος ο ανθρωπος, τον οποιον σωφρονιζεις, Κυριε, και δια του νομου σου διδασκεις αυτον

Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

δια να αναπαυης αυτον απο των ημερων της συμφορας, εωσου σκαφθη λακκος εις τον ασεβη.

That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

Διοτι δεν θελει απορριψει ο Κυριος τον λαον αυτου, και την κληρονομιαν αυτου δεν θελει εγκαταλειψει.

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

Επειδη η κρισις θελει επιστρεψει εις την δικαιοσυνην, και θελουσιν ακολουθησει αυτην παντες οι ευθεις την καρδιαν.

But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

Τις θελει σηκωθη υπερ εμου κατα των πονηρευομενων; τις θελει παρασταθη υπερ εμου κατα των εργατων της ανομιας;

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

Εαν ο Κυριος δεν με εβοηθει, παρ ολιγον ηθελε κατοικησει ψυχη μου εν τη σιωπη.

Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

Οτε ελεγον, ωλισθησεν ο πους μου, το ελεος σου, Κυριε, με εβοηθει.

When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

Εν τω πληθει των αμηχανιων της καρδιας μου, αι παρηγοριαι σου ευφραναν την ψυχην μου.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

Μηπως εχει μετα σου συγκοινωνιαν ο θρονος της ανομιας, οστις μηχαναται αδικιαν αντι νομου;

Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

Αυτοι εφορμωσι κατα της ψυχης του δικαιου και αιμα αθωον καταδικαζουσιν.

They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

Αλλ ο Κυριος ειναι εις εμε καταφυγιον και ο Θεος μου το φρουριον της ελπιδος μου.

But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

Και θελει επιστρεψει επ αυτους την ανομιαν αυτων και εν τη πονηρια αυτων θελει αφανισει αυτους Κυριος ο Θεος ημων θελει αφανισει αυτους.

And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
