Psalms 123

Ωιδη των Αναβαθμων. Υψωσα τους οφθαλμους μου προς σε τον κατοικουντα εν ουρανοις.

Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

Ιδου, καθως οι οφθαλμοι των δουλων ατενιζουσιν εις την χειρα των κυριων αυτων, καθως οι οφθαλμοι της δουλης εις την χειρα της κυριας αυτης, ουτως οι οφθαλμοι ημων προς Κυριον τον Θεον ημων, εωσου ελεηση ημας.

Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.

Ελεησον ημας, Κυριε, ελεησον ημας διοτι εχορτασθημεν σφοδρα απο εξουδενωσεως.

Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

Καθ υπερβολην εχορτασθη η ψυχη ημων απο της υβρεως των τρυφωντων, απο της εξουδενωσεως των υπερηφανων.

Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
