Jeremiah 22

Ουτω λεγει Κυριος Καταβηθι εις τον οικον του βασιλεως του Ιουδα και λαλησον εκει τον λογον τουτον,

Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,

και ειπε, Ακουσον τον λογον του Κυριου, βασιλευ του Ιουδα, ο καθημενος επι του θρονου του Δαβιδ, συ και οι δουλοι σου και ο λαος σου, οι εισερχομενοι δια των πυλων τουτων

And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:

Ουτω λεγει Κυριος Καμνετε κρισιν και δικαιοσυνην και ελευθερονετε τον γεγυμνωμενον εκ της χειρος του δυναστου και μη αδικειτε μηδε καταδυναστευετε τον ξενον, τον ορφανον και την χηραν και αιμα αθωον μη χυνετε εν τω τοπω τουτω.

Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

Διοτι εαν τωοντι καμνητε τον λογον τουτον, τοτε θελουσιν εισελθει δια των πυλων του οικου τουτου βασιλεις καθημενοι επι του θρονου του Δαβιδ, εποχουμενοι επι αμαξων και ιππων, αυτοι και οι δουλοι αυτων και ο λαος αυτων.

For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.

Αλλ εαν δεν ακουσητε τους λογους τουτους, ομνυω εις εμαυτον, λεγει Κυριος, οτι ο οικος ουτος θελει κατασταθη ερημος.

But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.

Διοτι ουτω λεγει Κυριος προς τον οικον του βασιλεως του Ιουδα. Συ εισαι Γαλααδ εις εμε και κορυφη του Λιβανου αλλα θελω σε καταστησει ερημιαν, πολεις ακατοικητους.

For thus saith the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.

Και θελω ετοιμασει εναντιον σου εξολοθρευτας, εκαστον μετα των οπλων αυτου και θελουσι κατακοψει τας εκλεκτας κεδρους σου και �ιψει εις το πυρ.

And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.

Και πολλα εθνη θελουσι διαβη δια της πολεως ταυτης και θελουσιν ειπει εκαστος προς τον πλησιον αυτου, Δια τι ο Κυριος εκαμεν ουτως εις ταυτην την μεγαλην πολιν;

And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city?

Και θελουσιν αποκριθη, Διοτι εγκατελιπον την διαθηκην Κυριου του Θεου αυτων και προσεκυνησαν αλλους θεους και ελατρευσαν αυτους.

Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.

Μη κλαιετε τον αποθανοντα και μη θρηνειτε αυτον κλαυσατε πικρως τον εξερχομενον, διοτι δεν θελει επιστρεψει πλεον και ιδει την γην της γεννησεως αυτου.

Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: but weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.

Διοτι ουτω λεγει Κυριος περι του Σαλλουμ, υιου του Ιωσιου, βασιλεως του Ιουδα, του βασιλευοντος αντι Ιωσιου του πατρος αυτου, οστις εξηλθεν εκ του τοπου τουτου Δεν θελει επιστρεψει εκει πλεον,

For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:

αλλα θελει αποθανει εν τω τοπω οπου εφεραν αυτον αιχμαλωτον, και δεν θελει ιδει πλεον την γην ταυτην.

But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.

Ουαι εις τον οικοδομουντα τον οικον αυτου ουχι εν δικαιοσυνη και τα υπερωα αυτου ουχι εν ευθυτητι, τον μεταχειριζομενον την εργασιαν του πλησιον αυτου αμισθι και μη αποδιδοντα εις αυτον τον μισθον του κοπου αυτου,

Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;

τον λεγοντα, Θελω οικοδομησει εις εμαυτον οικον μεγαν και υπερωα ευρυχωρα, και ανοιγοντα εις εαυτον παραθυρα και στεγαζοντα με κεδρον και χρωματιζοντα με μιλτον.

That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.

Θελεις βασιλευει, διοτι εγκλειεις σεαυτον εις κεδρον; ο πατηρ σου δεν ετρωγε και επινε, και επειδη εκαμνε κρισιν και δικαιοσυνην, ευημερει;

Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?

Εκρινε την κρισιν του πτωχου και του πενητος και τοτε ευημερει δεν ητο τουτο να με γνωριζη; λεγει Κυριος.

He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the LORD.

Αλλ οι οφθαλμοι σου και η καρδια σου δεν ειναι παρα εις την πλεονεξιαν σου και εις το να εκχεης αιμα αθωον και εις την δυναστειαν και εις την βιαν, δια να καμνης ταυτα.

But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.

Δια τουτο ουτω λεγει Κυριος περι του Ιωακειμ, υιου του Ιωσιου, βασιλεως του Ιουδα Δεν θελουσι κλαυσει αυτον, λεγοντες, Ουαι αδελφε μου Ουαι αδελφη δεν θελουσι κλαυσει αυτον, λεγοντες, Ουαι κυριε η, Ουαι δοξα

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!

Θελει ταφη ταφην ονου, συρομενος και �ιπτομενος περαν των πυλων της Ιερουσαλημ.

He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.

Αναβηθι εις τον Λιβανον και βοησον και υψωσον την φωνην σου προς την Βασαν και βοησον απο Αβαριμ διοτι ηφανισθησαν παντες οι ερασται σου.

Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from the passages: for all thy lovers are destroyed.

Ελαλησα προς σε εν τη ευημερια σου, αλλ ειπας, Δεν θελω ακουσει ουτος εσταθη ο τροπος σου εκ νεοτητος σου, οτι δεν υπηκουσας εις την φωνην μου.

I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.

Ο ανεμος θελει καταβοσκησει παντας τους ποιμενας σου και οι ερασται σου θελουσιν υπαγει εις αιχμαλωσιαν τοτε, ναι, θελεις αισχυνθη και εντραπη δια πασας τας ασεβειας σου.

The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.

Συ ητις κατοικεις εν τω Λιβανω, ητις καμνεις την φωλεαν σου εν ταις κεδροις, ποσον αξιοθρηνητος θελεις εισθαι, οταν ελθωσι λυπαι επι σε, ωδινες ως τικτουσης.

O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!

Ζω εγω, λεγει Κυριος, και εαν ο Χονιας, ο υιος του Ιωακειμ, βασιλευς του Ιουδα, ηθελε γεινει σφραγις επι την δεξιαν μου χειρα, και εκειθεν ηθελον σε αποσπασει

As I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;

και θελω σε παραδωσει εις την χειρα των ζητουντων την ψυχην σου και εις την χειρα εκεινων, των οποιων το προσωπον φοβεισαι, ναι, εις την χειρα του Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεως της Βαβυλωνος και εις την χειρα των Χαλδαιων.

And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.

Και θελω απορριψει σε και την μητερα σου, ητις σε εγεννησεν, εις γην ξενην οπου δεν εγεννηθητε, και εκει θελετε αποθανει.

And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.

Εις δε την γην, εις την οποιαν η ψυχη αυτων επιθυμει να επιστρεψωσιν, εκει δεν θελουσιν επιστρεψει.

But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return.

Ο ανθρωπος ουτος ο Χονιας κατεσταθη ειδωλον καταπεφρονημενον και συντετριμμενον; σκευος, εν ω δεν υπαρχει χαρις; δια τι απεβληθησαν, αυτος και το σπερμα αυτου, και ερριφθησαν εις τοπον, τον οποιον δεν γνωριζουσιν;

Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?

Ω γη, γη, γη, ακουε τον λογον του Κυριου.

O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

Ουτω λεγει Κυριος Γραψατε τον ανθρωπον τουτον ατεκνον, ανθρωπον οστις δεν θελει ευοδοθη εν ταις ημεραις αυτου διοτι δεν θελει ευοδοθη εκ του σπερματος αυτου ανθρωπος καθημενος επι τον θρονον του Δαβιδ και εξουσιαζων πλεον επι του Ιουδα.

Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.
