Isaiah 24

Ιδου, ο Κυριος κενονει την γην και ερημονει αυτην και ανατρεπει αυτην και διασκορπιζει τους κατοικους αυτης.

Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

Και θελει εισθαι, ως ο λαος, ουτως ο ιερευς ως ο θεραπων, ουτως ο κυριος αυτου ως η θεραπαινα, ουτως η κυρια αυτης ως ο αγοραστης, ουτως ο πωλητης ως ο δανειστης, ουτως ο δανειζομενος ως ο λαμβανων τοκον, ουτως ο πληρονων τοκον εις αυτον.

And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.

Ολοκληρως θελει κενωθη η γη και ολοκληρως θελει γυμνωθη διοτι ο Κυριος ελαλησε τον λογον τουτον.

The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.

Η γη πενθει, μαραινεται, ο κοσμος ατονει, μαραινεται, οι υψηλοι εκ των λαων της γης ειναι ητονημενοι.

The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.

Και η γη εμολυνθη υποκατω των κατοικων αυτης διοτι παρεβησαν τους νομους, ηλλαξαν το διαταγμα, ηθετησαν διαθηκην αιωνιον.

The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

Δια τουτο η αρα κατεφαγε την γην και οι κατοικουντες εν αυτη ηρημωθησαν δια τουτο οι κατοικοι της γης κατεκαυθησαν και ολιγοι ανθρωποι εμειναν.

Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Ο νεος οινος πενθει, η αμπελος ειναι εν ατονια, παντες οι ευφραινομενοι την καρδιαν στεναζουσιν.

The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh.

Η ευφροσυνη των τυμπανων παυει ο θορυβος των ευθυμουντων τελειονει παυει της κιθαρας η ευφροσυνη.

The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.

Δεν θελουσι πινει οινον μετα ασματων το σικερα θελει εισθαι πικρον εις τους πινοντας αυτο.

They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.

Η πολις της ερημωσεως ηφανισθη πασα οικια εκλεισθη, ωστε να μη εισελθη μηδεις.

The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

Κραυγη ειναι εν ταις οδοις δια τον οινον πασα ευθυμια παρηλθεν η χαρα του τοπου εφυγεν.

There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.

Ερημια εμεινεν εν τη πολει, και η πυλη εκτυπηθη υπο αφανισμου

In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.

οταν γεινη ουτως εν μεσω της γης μεταξυ των λαων, θελει εισθαι ως τιναγμος ελαιας, ως το σταφυλολογημα αφου παυση ο τρυγητος.

When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.

Ουτοι θελουσιν υψωσει την φωνην αυτων, θελουσι ψαλλει δια την μεγαλειοτητα του Κυριου, θελουσι μεγαλοφωνει απο της θαλασσης.

They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.

Δια τουτο δοξασατε τον Κυριον εν ταις κοιλασι, το ονομα Κυριου του Θεου του Ισραηλ εν ταις νησοις της θαλασσης.

Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.

Απ ακρου της γης ηκουσαμεν ασματα, Δοξα εις τον δικαιον. Αλλ εγω ειπα, Ταλαιπωρια μου, ταλαιπωρια μου ουαι εις εμε οι απιστοι απιστως επραξαν ναι, οι απιστοι πολλα απιστως επραξαν.

From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.

Φοβος και λακκος και παγις ειναι επι σε, κατοικε της γης.

Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.

Και ο φευγων απο του ηχου του φοβου θελει πεσει εις τον λακκον και ο αναβαινων εκ μεσου του λακκου θελει πιασθη εις την παγιδα διοτι αι θυριδες ανωθεν ειναι ανοικται, και τα θεμελια της γης σειονται.

And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

Η γη κατεσυντριφθη, η γη ολοκληρως διελυθη, η γη εκινηθη εις υπερβολην.

The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.

Η γη θελει κλονισθη εδω και εκει ως ο μεθυων και θελει μετακινηθη ως καλυβη και η ανομια αυτης θελει βαρυνει επ αυτην και θελει πεσει και πλεον δεν θελει σηκωθη.

The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

Και εν εκεινη τη ημερα ο Κυριος θελει παιδευσει το στρατευμα των υψηλων εν τω υψει και τους βασιλεις της γης επι της γης.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

Και θελουσι συναχθη, καθως συναγονται οι αιχμαλωτοι εις τον λακκον, και θελουσι κλεισθη εν τη φυλακη, και μετα πολλας ημερας θελει γεινει επισκεψις εις αυτους.

And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.

Τοτε η σεληνη θελει εντραπη και ο ηλιος θελει αισχυνθη, οταν ο Κυριος των δυναμεων βασιλευση εν τω ορει Σιων και εν Ιερουσαλημ και δοξασθη ενωπιον των πρεσβυτερων αυτου.

Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
