Isaiah 10

Ουαι εις τους ψηφιζοντας ψηφισματα αδικα και εις τους γραμματεις τους γραφοντας καταδυναστευσιν

Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;

δια να στερησωσι τον ενδεη απο της κρισεως, και δια να αρπασωσι το δικαιον των πτωχ√ν του λαου μου, δια να γεινωσι λαφυρον αυτων αι χηραι, και να γυμνωσωσι τους ορφανους.

To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!

Και τι θελετε καμει εν τη ημερα της επισκεψεως και εν τω ολεθρω οστις θελει ελθει μακροθεν; προς τινα θελετε προστρεξει δια βοηθειαν; και που θελετε αφησει την δοξαν σας,

And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

ειμη οτι θελουσιν υποκυψει εις τα δεσμα, και θελουσι πεσει υποκατω των πεφονευμενων; Εν πασι τουτοις ο θυμος αυτου δεν απεστραφη, αλλ η χειρ αυτου ειναι ετι εξηπλωμενη.

Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Ουαι εις τον Ασσυριον, την �αβδον του θυμου μου, αν και η εν τη χειρι αυτου μαστιξ ηναι η οργη μου.

O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

Θελω αποστειλει αυτον επι εθνος υποκριτικον, και θελω δωσει εις αυτον προσταγην κατα του λαου του θυμου μου, δια να λαφυραγωγηση λαφυρα και να λεηλατηση λεηλασιαν και να καταπατηση αυτους ως τον πηλον των οδων.

I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

Πλην αυτος δεν εννοει ουτως και η καρδια αυτου δεν διαλογιζεται ουτως αλλα τουτο φρονει εν τη καρδια αυτου, να καταστρεψη και να εξολοθρευση εθνη ουκ ολιγα.

Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

Διοτι λεγει, οι αρχοντες μου δεν ειναι παντες βασιλεις;

For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?

δεν ειναι η Χαλανη ως η Χαρχεμις; δεν ειναι η Αιμαθ ως η Αρφαδ; δεν ειναι η Σαμαρεια ως η Δαμασκος;

Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?

Καθως η χειρ μου κατεκρατησε τα βασιλεια των ειδωλων, των οποιων τα γλυπτα ισχυον μαλλον παρα τα της Ιερουσαλημ και της Σαμαρειας,

As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

δεν θελω καμει, ως εκαμον εις την Σαμαρειαν και εις τα ειδωλα αυτης, ουτω και εις την Ιερουσαλημ και εις τα ειδωλα αυτης;

Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

Δια τουτο, αφου ο Κυριος εκτελεση απαν το εργον αυτου επι το ορος Σιων και επι την Ιερουσαλημ, θελω παιδευσει, λεγει, τον καρπον της επηρμενης καρδιας του βασιλεως της Ασσυριας και την αλαζονειαν των υψηλων οφθαλμων αυτου.

Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

Διοτι λεγει, Εν τη δυναμει της χειρος μου εκαμον τουτο και δια της σοφιας μου, επειδη ειμαι συνετος και μετεστησα τα ορια των λαων και διηρπασα τους θησαυρους αυτων και καθηρεσα, ως ισχυρος, τους εν υψει καθημενους

For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:

και η χειρ μου ευρηκεν ως φωλεαν τα πλουτη των λαων και καθως συναγει τις ωα αφειμενα, ουτω συνηγαγον πασαν την γην εγω και ουδεις εκινησε πτερυγα η ηνοιξε στομα η εψιθυρισεν.

And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.

Ηθελε καυχηθη η αξινη κατα του κοπτοντος δι αυτης; ηθελε μεγαλαυχησει το πριονιον κατα του κινουντος αυτο; ως εαν ηθελε κινηθη η �αβδος κατα των υψουντων αυτην, ως εαν ηθελεν υψωσει εαυτην η βακτηρια ως μη ουσα ξυλον.

Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.

Δια τουτο ο Κυριος, ο Κυριος των δυναμεων, θελει αποστειλει εις τους παχεις αυτου ισχνοτητα και υπο την δοξαν αυτου θελει εξαφθη καυσις, ως καυσις πυρος.

Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

Και το φως του Ισραηλ θελει γεινει πυρ και ο Αγιος αυτου φλοξ και θελει καυσει και καταφαγει τας ακανθας αυτου και τους τριβολους αυτου εν μια ημερα

And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;

και θελει αφανισει την δοξαν του δασους αυτου και του καρποφορου αγρου αυτου απο ψυχης εως σαρκος και θελουσιν εισθαι ως οταν σημαιοφορος λιποψυχη.

And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth.

Το δε υπολοιπον των δενδρων του δασους αυτου θελει εισθαι ευαριθμον, ωστε παιδιον να καταγραψη αυτα.

And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.

Και εν εκεινη τη ημερα, το υπολοιπον του Ισραηλ και οι διασεσωσμενοι του οικου Ιακωβ δεν θελουσι πλεον επιστηριζεσθαι επι τον παταξαντα αυτους, αλλα θελουσιν επιστηριζεσθαι επι Κυριον, τον Αγιον του Ισραηλ, κατα αληθειαν.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

Το υπολοιπον θελει επιστρεψει, το υπολοιπον του Ιακωβ, προς τον ισχυρον Θεον.

The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

Διοτι αν και ο λαος σου, Ισραηλ, ηναι ως η αμμος της θαλασσης, υπολοιπον εξ αυτων θελει επιστρεψει η αποφασισθεισα καταναλωσις θελει συντελεσθη εν δικαιοσυνη.

For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

Διοτι Κυριος ο Θεος των δυναμεων θελει καμει καταναλωσιν, βεβαιως προσδιωρισμενην, εν μεσω πασης της γης

For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.

δια τουτο, ουτω λεγει Κυριος ο Θεος των δυναμεων. Λαε μου, οστις κατοικεις εν Σιων, μη φοβηθης απο του Ασσυριου θελει σε παταξει εν �αβδω και θελει σηκωσει την βακτηριαν αυτου εναντιον σου κατα τον τροπον της Αιγυπτου

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

διοτι ετι ολιγον και η οργη θελει παυσει και ο θυμος μου θελει εισθαι εις ολεθρον εκεινων.

For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

Και ο Κυριος των δυναμεων θελει σηκωσει επ αυτον μαστιγα, κατα την πληγην της Μαδιαμ εν τω βραχω Ωρηβ και καθως η �αβδος αυτου υψωθη επι την θαλασσαν, ουτω θελει υψωσει αυτην κατα τον τροπον της Αιγυπτου.

And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.

Και εν εκεινη τη ημερα το φορτιον αυτου θελει αφαιρεθη απο του ωμου σου και ο ζυγος αυτου απο του τραχηλου σου, και ο ζυγος θελει συντριφθη εξ αιτιας του χρισματος.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

Αυτος ηλθεν εις Αιαθ, επερασεν εις Μιγρων. Εν Μιχμας θελει αποθεσει τα σκευη αυτου

He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:

διεβησαν το περασμα κατελυσαν εν Γεβα η Ραμα ετρομαξεν η Γαβαα του Σαουλ εφυγεν.

They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.

Υψωσον την φωνην σου, θυγατηρ της Γαλλειμ καμε αυτην, πτωχη Αναθωθ, να ακουσθη εν Λαισα.

Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.

Η Μαδμηνα μετετοπισθη οι κατοικοι της Γεβειμ εφυγον ομου.

Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.

Και εν τη ημερα εκεινη θελει μεινει εν Νωβ, θελει σεισει την χειρα αυτου κατα του ορους της θυγατρος της Σιων, κατα του λοφου της Ιερουσαλημ.

As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

Ιδου, ο Κυριος, ο Κυριος των δυναμεων, θελει κοψει τους κλαδους μετα κροτου τρομερου και οι υψωμενοι θελουσι συντριφθη και οι επηρμενοι θελουσι ταπεινωθη.

Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.

Και τα πυκνα του δασους θελει κοψει εν σιδηρω, και ο Λιβανος θελει πεσει δι ισχυρου.

And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
