Haggai 2

Εν τω εβδομω μηνι, τη εικοστη πρωτη του μηνος, εγεινε λογος Κυριου δι Αγγαιου του προφητου, λεγων,

In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,

Λαλησον τωρα προς Ζοροβαβελ τον υιον του Σαλαθιηλ, τον διοικητην του Ιουδα, και προς Ιησουν τον υιον του Ιωσεδεκ, τον ιερεα τον μεγαν, και προς το υπολοιπον του λαου, λεγων,

Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,

Τις μεταξυ σας εμεινεν, οστις ειδε τον οικον τουτον εν τη πρωτη αυτου δοξη; και οποιον τωρα σεις βλεπετε αυτον; δεν ειναι εις τους οφθαλμους σας ως ουδεν, συγκρινομενος προς εκεινον;

Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

Πλην ενδυναμου τωρα, Ζοροβαβελ, λεγει Κυριος, και ενδυναμου, Ιησου, υιε του Ιωσεδεκ, ο ιερευς ο μεγας, και ενδυναμου, πας ο λαος του τοπου, λεγει Κυριος, και εργαζεσθε διοτι εγω ειμαι με σας, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων.

Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:

Κατα τον λογον της προς εσας διαθηκης μου, οτε εξηλθετε εξ Αιγυπτου, το πνευμα μου θελει μενει μεταξυ σας μη φοβεισθε.

According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.

Διοτι ουτω λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων Ετι απαξ μετ ολιγον εγω θελω σεισει τον ουρανον και την γην και την θαλασσαν και την ξηραν.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

Και θελω σεισει παντα τα εθνη, και θελει ελθει ο εκλεκτος παντων των εθνων, και θελω εμπλησει τον οικον τουτον δοξης, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων.

And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

Εμου ειναι το αργυριον και εμου το χρυσιον, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων.

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.

Η δοξα του εσχατου τουτου οικου θελει εισθαι μεγαλητερα της του πρωτου, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων και εν τω τοπω τουτω θελω δωσει ειρηνην, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων.

The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

Εν τη εικοστη τεταρτη του εννατου μηνος, εν τω δευτερω ετει του Δαρειου, εγεινε λογος Κυριου δι Αγγαιου του προφητου, λεγων,

In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

Ουτω λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων Ερωτησον τωρα τους ιερεις περι του νομου, λεγων,

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,

Εαν λαβη τις κρεας αγιον εν τω ακρω του ιματιου αυτου και δια του ακρου αυτου εγγιση αρτον η μαγειρευμα η οινον η ελαιον η παν φαγητον, θελει αγιασθη; Και οι ιερεις απεκριθησαν και ειπον, Ουχι.

If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.

Και ειπεν ο Αγγαιος, Εαν ακαθαρτος απο νεκρου σωματος εγγιση τι εξ αυτων, θελει μιανθη; Και οι ιερεις απεκριθησαν και ειπον, Θελει μιανθη.

Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.

Και απεκριθη ο Αγγαιος και ειπεν, Ουτως ειναι ο λαος ουτος και ουτω το εθνος τουτο ενωπιον μου, λεγει ο Κυριος, και ουτω παν εργον των χειρων αυτων και ο, τι προσφερουσιν εκει, ειναι μεμιασμενον.

Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

Και τωρα λοιπον συλλογισθητε απο της ημερας ταυτης και επεκεινα, πριν τεθη λιθος επι λιθον εν τω ναω του Κυριου,

And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:

πριν γεινωσι ταυτα, επορευετο τις εις σωρον εικοσι μετρων και ησαν δεκα επορευετο εις τον ληνον δια να εξαντληση πεντηκοντα μετρα απο του ληνου, και ησαν εικοσι.

Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty.

Σας επαταξα με ανεμοφθοριαν και με ερυσιβην και με χαλαζαν εν πασι τοις εργοις των χειρων σας πλην σεις δεν επεστρεψατε προς εμε, λεγει Κυριος.

I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD.

Συλλογισθητε τωρα απο της ημερας ταυτης και επεκεινα, απο της εικοστης τεταρτης ημερας του εννατου μηνος απο της ημερας καθ ην εθεμελιωθη ο ναος του Κυριου, συλλογισθητε.

Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider it.

Ειναι ο σπορος ετι εν τη αποθηκη; ετι και η αμπελος και η συκη και η �οιδια και η ελαια δεν εκαρποφορησαν απο της ημερας ταυτης θελω ευλογησει αυτα.

Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.

Και εγεινε παλιν λογος Κυριου προς τον Αγγαιον τη εικοστη τεταρτη του μηνος λεγων,

And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,

Λαλησον προς Ζοροβαβελ, τον διοικητην του Ιουδα, λεγων, Εγω σειω τον ουρανον και την γην

Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;

και θελω καταστρεψει τον θρονον των βασιλειων και θελω εξολοθρευσει το κρατος των βασιλειων των εθνων και θελω καταστρεψει αμαξας και τους αναβατας αυτων, και οι ιπποι και οι αναβαται αυτων θελουσι πεσει, εκαστος δια της �ομφαιας του αδελφου αυτου.

And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.

Εν τη ημερα εκεινη, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων, θελω λαβει σε, Ζοροβαβελ, τον δουλον μου, τον υιον του Σαλαθιηλ, λεγει Κυριος, και θελω σε θεσει ως σφραγιδα, διοτι σε εξελεξα, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων.

In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.
