Ezekiel 21

Και εγεινε λογος Κυριου προς εμε, λεγων,

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Υιε ανθρωπου, στηριξον το προσωπον σου προς Ιερουσαλημ και σταλαξον λογον προς τους αγιους τοπους και προφητευσον κατα της γης Ισραηλ

Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,

και ειπε προς την γην Ισραηλ, Ουτω λεγει Κυριος Ιδου, εγω ειμαι εναντιον σου και θελω συρει την μαχαιραν μου εκ της θηκης αυτης και θελω εκκοψει απο σου τον δικαιον και τον ασεβη.

And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.

Και επειδη θελω εκκοψει απο σου τον δικαιον και τον ασεβη, δια τουτο θελει εξελθει η μαχαιρα μου εκ της θηκης αυτης εναντιον πασης σαρκος, απο μεσημβριας μεχρι βορρα

Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:

και θελουσι γνωρισει πασα σαρξ οτι εγω ο Κυριος εσυρα την μαχαιραν μου εκ της θηκης αυτης δεν θελει επιστρεψει πλεον.

That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.

Δια τουτο συ, υιε ανθρωπου, στεναξον μετα συντριμμου της οσφυος σου, και μετα πικριας στεναξον ενωπιον αυτων.

Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.

Και οταν ειπωσι προς σε, δια τι στεναζεις συ; θελεις αποκριθη δια την αγγελιαν, οτι ερχεται και πασα καρδια θελει λυωσει, και πασαι αι χειρες θελουσι παραλυθη, και παν πνευμα θελει λιποθυμησει, και παντα τα γονατα θελουσι �ευσει ως υδωρ ιδου, ερχεται και θελει γεινει, λεγει Κυριος ο Θεος.

And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.

Και εγεινε λογος Κυριου προς εμε, λεγων,

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Υιε ανθρωπου, προφητευσον και ειπε, Ουτω λεγει Κυριος Ειπε, Ρομφαια, �ομφαια ακονιζεται και μαλιστα στιλβουται

Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished:

ακονιζεται, δια να καμη σφαγην στιλβουται, δια να αστραπτη. Δυναμεθα λοιπον να ημεθα ευθυμοι; αυτη ειναι η �αβδος του υιου μου, η καταφρονουσα παν ξυλον.

It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, as every tree.

Και εδωκεν αυτην να στιλβωθη, δια να κρατηται εν τη χειρι η �ομφαια αυτη ειναι ηκονισμενη και εστιλβωμενη, δια να δοθη εις την χειρα του σφαγεως.

And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.

Βοησον και ολολυξον, υιε ανθρωπου διοτι αυτη ειναι εναντιον του λαου μου, ειναι εναντιον παντων των αρχοντων του Ισραηλ . τρομος θελει επιπεσει επι τον λαον μου δια την �ομφαιαν δια τουτο κτυπησον επι τον μηρον σου.

Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh.

Διοτι εξετασις ειναι και τι; βεβαιως και η καταφρονουσα �αβδος δεν θελει υπαρχει, λεγει Κυριος ο Θεος.

Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord GOD.

Δια τουτο συ, υιε ανθρωπου, προφητευσον και κροτησον χειρα επι χειρα και ας διπλασιασθη η �ομφαια, ας τριπλασιασθη, η �ομφαια των τετραυματισμενων αυτη ειναι η �ομφαια των μεγαλων τραυματιων, ητις θελει διαπερασει εως των ενδομυχων αυτων.

Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which entereth into their privy chambers.

Επεφερα την κοπην της �ομφαιας επι πασας τας πυλας αυτων, δια να λυωση πασα καρδια και να πληθυνθη ο ολεθρος. Ουαι ητοιμασθη δια να εξαστραπτη, ηκονισθη δια σφαγην.

I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.

Συσφιγχθητι, �ομφαια, επιτεθητι δεξια, αριστερα, οπου στραφη το προσωπον σου.

Go thee one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, whithersoever thy face is set.

Και εγω ετι θελω κροτησει χειρα μου επι χειρα μου και θελω αναπαυσει τον θυμον μου εγω ο Κυριος ελαλησα.

I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said it.

Και εγεινε λογος Κυριου προς εμε, λεγων,

The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,

Και συ, υιε ανθρωπου, διορισον εις σεαυτον δυο οδους, δια να διελθη η �ομφαια του βασιλεως της Βαβυλωνος, και αμφοτεραι θελουσιν εξερχεσθαι απο της αυτης γης και καμε τοπον, καμε αυτον εν τη αρχη της οδου της πολεως.

Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.

Διορισον οδον δια να διελθη η �ομφαια εις την Ραββα των υιων Αμμων και εις την Ιουδαιαν προς την Ιερουσαλημ την ωχυρωμενην.

Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.

Διοτι ο βασιλευς της Βαβυλωνος εσταθη εις τον διαχωρισμον, εν τη αρχη των δυο οδων, δια να ερωτηση τους μαντεις ανεκατωσε τα μαντικα βελη, ηρωτησε τα γλυπτα, παρετηρησε το ηπαρ.

For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver.

Προς την δεξιαν αυτου εγεινεν ο χρησμος δια την Ιερουσαλημ, δια να στηση τους κριους, δια να ανοιξη το στομα επι σφαγην, να υψωση την φωνην μετα αλαλαγμου, να στηση κριους εναντιον των πυλων, να καμη προχωματα, να οικοδομηση προμαχωνας.

At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort.

Πλην τουτο θελει εισθαι εις αυτους ως μαντεια ματαια, εις τους οφθαλμους εκεινων, οιτινες εκαμον ορκους προς αυτους αυτος ομως θελει ενθυμισει αυτους την ανομιαν αυτων, δια να πιασθωσι.

And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.

Δια τουτο ουτω λεγει Κυριος ο Θεος. Επειδη εκαμετε να ελθη εις ενθυμησιν η ανομια σας, οτε ανεκαλυφθησαν αι παραβασεις σας, ωστε να φανερωθωσι τα αμαρτηματα σας εις πασας τας πραξεις σας επειδη ηλθετε εις ενθυμησιν, θελετε γεινει χειριαλωτοι.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.

Και συ, βεβηλε ασεβη, ηγεμων του Ισραηλ, του οποιου ηλθεν η ημερα, οτε η ανομια εφθασεν εις περας,

And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end,

ουτω λεγει Κυριος ο Θεος Σηκωσον το διαδημα και αφαιρεσον το στεμμα αυτο δεν θελει εισθαι τοιουτον ο ταπεινος θελει υψωθη και ο υψηλος θελει ταπεινωθη.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.

Θελω ανατρεψει, ανατρεψει, ανατρεψει αυτο, και δεν θελει υπαρχει εωσου ελθη εκεινος, εις ον ανηκει και εις τουτον θελω δωσει αυτο.

I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.

Και συ, υιε ανθρωπου, προφητευσον και ειπε, Ουτω λεγει Κυριος ο Θεος περι των υιων Αμμων και περι του ονειδισμου αυτων, και ειπε, Η �ομφαια, η �ομφαια ειναι γεγυμνωμενη, δια την σφαγην εστιλβωμενη, δια να εξολοθρευση εξαστραπτουσα,

And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering:

ενω βλεπουσι ματαιας ορασεις περι σου, ενω μαντευουσι ψευδος εις σε, δια να σε βαλωσιν επι τον τραχηλον των τετραυματισμενων, των ασεβων, των οποιων η ημερα ηλθεν, οτε η ανομια αυτων εφθασεν εις περας.

Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity shall have an end.

Επιστρεψον αυτην εις την θηκην αυτης. Εν τω τοπω οπου εκτισθης, εν τη γη της γεννησεως σου, θελω σε κρινει.

Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity.

Και θελω εκχεει την οργην μου επι σε εν τω πυρι της οργης μου θελω εμφυσησει επι σε και θελω σε παραδωσει εις χειρας ανδρων αγριων, τεκταινοντων ολεθρον.

And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.

Τροφη πυρος θελεις γεινει το αιμα σου θελει εισθαι εν τω μεσω της γης σου δεν θελει εισθαι πλεον μνημη περι σου διοτι εγω ο Κυριος ελαλησα.

Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it.
