Psalms 74

Ey Tanrı, neden bizi sonsuza dek reddettin? Niçin otlağının koyunlarına karşı öfken tütmekte?
O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
Anımsa geçmişte sahiplendiğin topluluğu, Kendi halkın olsun diye kurtardığın oymağı Ve üzerine konut kurduğun Siyon Dağı’nı.
Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.
Yönelt adımlarını şu onarılmaz yıkıntılara doğru, Düşman kutsal yerdeki her şeyi yıktı.
Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary.
Düşmanların bizimle buluştuğun yerde kükredi, Zafer simgesi olarak kendi bayraklarını dikti.
Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.
Gür bir ormana Baltayla dalar gibiydiler.
A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.
Baltayla, balyozla kırdılar, Bütün oymaları.
But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers.
Ateşe verdiler tapınağını, Yerle bir edip kutsallığını bozdular Adının yaşadığı konutun.
They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground.
İçlerinden, “Hepsini ezelim!” dediler. Ülkede Tanrı’yla buluşma yerlerinin tümünü yaktılar.
They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.
Artık kutsal simgelerimizi görmüyoruz, Peygamberler de yok oldu, İçimizden kimse bilmiyor ne zamana dek...
We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
Ey Tanrı, ne zamana dek düşman sana sövecek, Hasmın senin adını hor görecek?
O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
Niçin geri çekiyorsun elini? Çıkar sağ elini bağrından, yok et onları!
Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom.
Ama geçmişten bu yana kralım sensin, ey Tanrı, Yeryüzünde kurtuluş sağladın.
For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
[] Gücünle denizi yardın, Canavarların kafasını sularda parçaladın.
Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.
Livyatan’ın başlarını ezdin, Çölde yaşayanlara onu yem ettin.
Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
Kaynaklar, dereler fışkırttın, Sürekli akan ırmakları kuruttun.
Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.
Gün senindir, gece de senin, Ay ve güneşi sen yerleştirdin,
The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.
Yeryüzünün bütün sınırlarını sen saptadın, Yazı da kışı da yaratan sensin.
Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
Anımsa, ya RAB, düşmanın sana nasıl sövdüğünü, Akılsız bir halkın, adını nasıl hor gördüğünü.
Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.
Canavara teslim etme kumrunun canını, Asla unutma düşkün kullarının yaşamını.
O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.
Yaptığın antlaşmayı gözönüne al, Çünkü ülkenin her karanlık köşesi Zorbaların inleriyle dolmuş.
Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
Düşkünler boynu bükük geri çevrilmesin, Mazlumlar, yoksullar adına övgüler dizsin.
O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name.
Kalk, ey Tanrı, davanı savun! Anımsa akılsızların gün boyu sana nasıl sövdüğünü!
Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.
Unutma hasımlarının yaygarasını, Sana başkaldıranların durmadan yükselen patırtısını!
Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.
