Job 33

“Ama şimdi lütfen sözümü dinle, Eyüp, Söyleyeceğim her şeye kulak ver.
Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.
Ağzımı açtım açacağım, Söyleyeceklerim dilimin ucunda.
Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.
Sözlerim temiz bir yürekten çıkıyor, Dudaklarım bildiklerini içtenlikle söylüyor.
My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.
Beni Tanrı’nın Ruhu yarattı, Her Şeye Gücü Yeten’in soluğu yaşam veriyor bana.
The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
Elinden gelirse beni yanıtla, Kendini hazırla, karşımda dur.
If thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up.
Tanrı’nın önünde ben de tıpkı senin gibiyim, Ben de balçıktan yaratıldım.
Behold, I am according to thy wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay.
Onun için dehşetim seni yıldırmasın, Baskım sana ağır gelmesin.
Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.
“Sesin hâlâ kulaklarımda, Şöyle demiştin:
Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,
‘Ben kusursuz ve günahsızım, Temiz ve suçsuzum.
I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.
Yine de Tanrı bana karşı bahane arıyor, Beni düşman görüyor.
Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,
Ayaklarımı tomruğa vuruyor, Yollarımı gözetliyor.’
He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.
“Ama sana şunu söyleyeyim, Bu konuda haksızsın. Çünkü Tanrı insandan büyüktür.
Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.
İnsanın hiçbir sözünü yanıtlamıyor diye Niçin O’nunla çekişiyorsun?
Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.
Çünkü insan anlamasa da, Tanrı şu ya da bu yolla konuşur.
For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
Rüyada, geceleyin görümde, İnsanları ağır uyku basınca, Yatakta yatarlarken,
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
Kulaklarına konuşur, Uyarısıyla onları korkutur;
Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,
Onları yaptıkları kötülükten döndürmek, Gururdan uzak tutmak,
That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.
Canlarını çukurdan, Hayatlarını ölümden kurtarmak için.
He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
İnsan yatağında acılarla, Kemiklerinde dinmez sızılarla yola getirilir.
He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain:
Öyle ki, içi yemek kaldırmaz, En lezzetli yiyecekten tiksinir.
So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.
Eti erir, görünmez olur, Gözükmeyen kemikleri ortaya çıkar.
His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.
Canı çukura, Hayatı ölüm meleklerine yaklaşır.
Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.
“Yine de insana doğruyu bildirmek için Yanında bir melek, bin melekten biri Arabulucu olarak bulunursa,
If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
Ona lütfeder de, ‘Onu ölüm çukuruna inmekten kurtar, Ben fidyeyi buldum’ derse,
Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
Eti çocuk eti gibi yenilenir, Gençlik günlerine döner.
His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth:
Dua ettiğinde Tanrı ondan hoşnut kalır, O da Tanrı’nın yüzünü görüp sevinir. Tanrı onun durumunu düzeltir.
He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
Sonra insanların önünde türkü çağırır: ‘Günah işleyip doğru yoldan saptım, Ama Tanrı hak ettiğim cezayı vermedi bana,
He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
Canımı çukura inmekten O kurtardı, Işığı görmek için yaşayacağım.’
He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
“İşte, insanın canını çukurdan çıkarmak, Onu yaşam ışığıyla aydınlatmak için Tanrı bütün bunları iki kez, Hatta üç kez yapar.
Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,
“İşte, insanın canını çukurdan çıkarmak, Onu yaşam ışığıyla aydınlatmak için Tanrı bütün bunları iki kez, Hatta üç kez yapar.
To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.
“İyi dinle, Eyüp, kulak ver, Sen sus, ben konuşacağım.
Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I will speak.
Söyleyeceğin bir şey varsa söyle, Çünkü seni haklı çıkarmak isterim.
If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee.
Yoksa, beni dinle, Sus da sana bilgelik öğreteyim.”
If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.
