I John 3

Kia kite koutou i te tikanga o te aroha i homai nei e te Matua ki a tatou, ara kia huaina tatou he tamariki na te Atua! he pera hoki tatou, koia te ao te matau ai ki a tatou, kahore hoki i matau ki a ia.

Sehet, welch eine Liebe uns der Vater gegeben hat, daß wir Kinder Gottes heißen sollen! Deswegen erkennt uns die Welt nicht, weil sie ihn nicht erkannt hat.

E nga hoa aroha, he tamariki tatou na te Atua inaianei; a kahore ano i kitea noatia he aha ranei tatou a mua: ia, ka rite tatou ki a ia; ka kite hoki tatou i a ia, i tona ahua ake ano.

Geliebte, jetzt sind wir Kinder Gottes, und es ist noch nicht offenbar geworden, was wir sein werden; wir wissen, daß, wenn es offenbar werden wird, wir ihm gleich sein werden, denn wir werden ihn sehen, wie er ist.

Und jeder, der diese Hoffnung zu ihm hat, reinigt sich selbst, gleichwie er rein ist.

Jeder, der die Sünde tut, tut auch die Gesetzlosigkeit, und die Sünde ist die Gesetzlosigkeit.

E matau ana ano koutou i whakakitea mai ia hei waha atu i o tatou hara; kahore ano hoki he hara i roto i a ia.

Und ihr wisset, daß er geoffenbart worden ist, auf daß er unsere Sünden wegnehme; und Sünde ist nicht in ihm.

Ko te tangata e mau ana i roto i a ia e kore e hara: ko te tangata e hara ana, kahore i kite i a ia, kahore ano i matau ki a ia.

Jeder, der in ihm bleibt, sündigt nicht; jeder, der sündigt, hat ihn nicht gesehen noch ihn erkannt.

E aku tamariki nonohi, kei whakapohehetia koutou e etahi: ko te tangata e mea ana i te tika, he tika ano ia, pera hoki me tera e tika ana.

Kinder, daß niemand euch verführe! Wer die Gerechtigkeit tut, ist gerecht, gleichwie er gerecht ist.

Ko te tangata e mea ana i te hara, no te rewera ia; he hara hoki to te rewera no te timatanga ra ano. Mo konei te Tama a te Atua i whakakitea mai ai, kia whakakahoretia ai e ia nga mahi a te rewera.

Wer die Sünde tut, ist aus dem Teufel, denn der Teufel sündigt von Anfang. Hierzu ist der Sohn Gottes geoffenbart worden, auf daß er die Werke des Teufels vernichte.

Jeder, der aus Gott geboren ist, tut nicht Sünde, denn sein Same bleibt in ihm; und er kann nicht sündigen, weil er aus Gott geboren ist.

Ma konei ka kitea ai nga tamariki a te Atua me nga tamariki a te rewera: ko te tangata e kore e mahi i te tika, ehara ia i te Atua, me ia ano hoki e kore e aroha ki tona teina.

Hieran sind offenbar die Kinder Gottes und die Kinder des Teufels. Jeder, der nicht Gerechtigkeit tut, ist nicht aus Gott, und wer nicht seinen Bruder liebt.

Denn dies ist die Botschaft, die ihr von Anfang gehört habt, daß wir einander lieben sollen;

nicht wie Kain aus dem Bösen war und seinen Bruder ermordete; und weshalb ermordete er ihn? weil seine Werke böse waren, die seines Bruders aber gerecht.

Kaua e miharo, e oku teina, ki te kino te ao ki a koutou.

Wundert euch nicht, Brüder, wenn die Welt euch haßt.

E matau ana tatou kua whiti tatou i te mate ki te ora, no te mea e aroha ana tatou ki nga teina. Ko te tangata kahore e aroha ki te teina, e noho ana ia i roto i te mate.

Wir wissen, daß wir aus dem Tode in das Leben übergegangen sind, weil wir die Brüder lieben; wer den Bruder nicht liebt, bleibt in dem Tode.

Ko te tangata e mauahara ana ki tona teina, he kaipatu tangata ia: ka matau hoki koutou, ko te kaipatu tangata kahore he ora tonu e mau ana i roto i a ia.

Jeder, der seinen Bruder haßt, ist ein Menschenmörder, und ihr wisset, daß kein Menschenmörder ewiges Leben in sich bleibend hat.

Na konei tatou i matau ai ki te aroha, i tuku atu hoki ia i a ia kia mate mo tatou: he tika ano kia tukua tatou e tatou ano ki te mate mo nga teina.

Hieran haben wir die Liebe erkannt, daß er für uns sein Leben dargelegt hat; auch wir sind schuldig, für die Brüder das Leben darzulegen.

Ko te tangata ia ia ia nei nga oranga o tenei ao, a ka kite e matea ana tetahi mea e tona teina, na ka tutakina iho e ia tona ngakau aroha ki a ia, e mau pehea ana te aroha o te Atua i roto i a ia?

Wer aber der Welt Güter hat und sieht seinen Bruder Mangel leiden und verschließt sein Herz vor ihm, wie bleibt die Liebe Gottes in ihm?

E aku tamariki nonohi, kaua e waiho ma te kupu, ma te arero te aroha; engari ma te mahi, ma te pono.

Kinder, laßt uns nicht lieben mit Worten, noch mit der Zunge, sondern in Tat und Wahrheit.

Ma konei hoki tatou ka matau ai no te pono tatou, ka whakau ai hoki i o tatou ngakau i tona aroaro.

Und hieran werden wir erkennen, daß wir aus der Wahrheit sind, und werden vor ihm unsere Herzen überzeugen, -

Ki te mea ka whakahe mai o tatou ngakau i a tatou, nui atu te Atua i o tatou ngakau; e matau ana ano ia ki nga mea katoa.

daß, wenn unser Herz uns verurteilt, Gott größer ist als unser Herz und alles kennt.

E nga hoa aroha, ki te kore o tatou ngakau e whakahe i a tatou, ka maia tatou ki te Atua;

Geliebte, wenn unser Herz uns nicht verurteilt, so haben wir Freimütigkeit zu Gott,

A, ko te mea e inoia ana e tatou, ka homai e ia ki a tatou, no te mea e pupuri ana tatou i ana ture, e mea ana hoki i nga mea e ahuareka ana ki tana titiro.

und was irgend wir bitten, empfangen wir von ihm, weil wir seine Gebote halten und das vor ihm Wohlgefällige tun.

Ko tana ture ano tenei, kia whakapono tatou ki te ingoa o tana Tama, o Ihu Karaiti, kia aroha ano tetahi ki tetahi, kia rite ano ki te ture i homai e ia ki a tatou.

Und dies ist sein Gebot, daß wir an den Namen seines Sohnes Jesu Christi glauben und einander lieben, gleichwie er uns ein Gebot gegeben hat.

Na, ko te tangata e pupuri ana i ana ture, e mau ana i roto i a ia me ia ano i roto i a ia. na konei ano tatou i matau ai e mau ana ia i roto i a tatou, na te Wairua kua homai nei e ia ki a tatou.

Und wer seine Gebote hält, bleibt in ihm, und er in ihm; und hieran erkennen wir, daß er in uns bleibt, durch den Geist, den er uns gegeben hat.
