Isaiah 13

The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.

Gánh nặng về Ba-by-lôn, mà Ê-sai, con trai A-mốt, đã thấy.

Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

Hãy dựng cờ trên núi trọi! Hãy cất tiếng kêu chúng nó, lấy tay mà ngoắt, cho người ta vào các cửa người sang trọng!

I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

Chính ta đã truyền lịnh cho kẻ ta đã biệt riêng ra, và đã gọi những người mạnh mẽ của ta đến sự thạnh nộ, họ vui mừng vì cớ sự cao trọng của ta.

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

Có tiếng xôn xao của đoàn lũ trên các núi, dường như tiếng xôn xao của một dân đông! Ấy là tiếng ồn áo các nước của các dân tộc nhóm lại! Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân điểm soát đạo quân mình để ra trận.

They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

Chính Ðức Giê-hô-va và những khí giới của sự thạnh nộ Ngài đến từ phương xa, từ nơi rất xa trên trời, để hủy diệt cả đất.

Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Các ngươi khá than khóc! Vì ngày của Ðức Giê-hô-va đã gần: ngày đó đến như cơn tại nạn đến bởi Ðấng Toàn năng.

Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:

Vậy nên mọi tay đều yếu đuối, lòng người đều tan chảy.

And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

Chúng đều kinh hoàng, bị sự đau đớn thảm sầu bắt lấy, quặn thắt như đờn bà đương đẻ; hắc hơ hắc hãi nhìn nhau, mặt như mặt ngọn lửa!

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Nầy, ngày Ðức Giê-hô-va đến, là ngày hung dữ, có sự thạnh nộ và nóng giận để làm đất nầy nên hoang vu, và diệt những kẻ có tội khỏi đó.

For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

Vì các ngôi sao và các đám sao trên trời mọc lên thì mờ tối, mặt trăng không soi sáng đâu.

And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Ta sẽ phạt thế gian vì sự độc ác nó, phạt kẻ dữ vì tội lỗi chúng nó, làm cho kẻ kiêu hết kiêu, hạ sự tự cao của kẻ bạo ngược.

I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

Ta sẽ làm cho loài người hiếm có hơn vàng quí, thật ta sẽ làm cho loài người hiếm có hơn vàng ròng xứ Ô-phia.

Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Vậy nên, ta sẽ khiến các tầng trời rung rinh, đất bị day động lìa khỏi chỗ mình, vì cơn thạnh nộ của Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, trong ngày Ngài nổi giận dữ.

And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.

Bấy giờ, ai nấy như con hươu bị đuổi, như bầy chiên không người nhóm lại, sẽ trở lại cùng dân mình, sẽ trốn về xứ mình.

Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.

Kẻ nào người ta gặp được sẽ bị đâm; kẻ nào bị bắt sẽ ngã dưới lưỡi gươm.

Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.

Con trẻ họ sẽ bị đập chết trước mắt họ, nhà bị cướp, vợ bị dâm hãm.

Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

Nầy, ta sẽ xui người Mê-đi nghịch cùng họ, những người đó chẳng quí bạc, chẳng thích vàng;

Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.

dùng cung đập giập kẻ trai trẻ, chẳng thương xót đến thai trong lòng mẹ, mắt chẳng tiếc trẻ con.

And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Ba-by-lôn, là sự vinh hiển các nước, sự hoa mĩ của lòng kiêu ngạo người Canh-đê, sẽ giống như Sô-đôm và Gô-mô-rơ mà Ðức Chúa Trời đã lật đổ.

It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

Nó sẽ chẳng hề có người ở nữa, trải đời nọ sang đời kia không ai ở đó; người A rạp không đóng trại tại đó, những kẻ chăn cũng chẳng cầm bầy mình ở đó.

But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

Song những thú rừng sẽ đến ở, và nhà cửa đầy những chim cú; chim đã choán làm chỗ mình, dê đực lấy làm nơi nhảy nhót.

And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

Sài lang sủa trong cung điện, có rừng tru trong đền đài vui sướng. Kỳ nó đã gần đến, ngày nó sẽ không được dài nữa.
