Micah 7

Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.

ہائے، مجھ پر افسوس! مَیں اُس شخص کی مانند ہوں جو فصل کے جمع ہونے پر انگور کے باغ میں سے گزر جاتا ہے تاکہ بچا ہوا تھوڑا بہت پھل مل جائے، لیکن ایک گُچھا تک باقی نہیں۔ مَیں اُس آدمی کی مانند ہوں جو انجیر کا پہلا پھل ملنے کی اُمید رکھتا ہے لیکن ایک بھی نہیں ملتا۔

The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

ملک میں سے دیانت دار مٹ گئے ہیں، ایک بھی ایمان دار نہیں رہا۔ سب تاک میں بیٹھے ہیں تاکہ ایک دوسرے کو قتل کریں، ہر ایک اپنا جال بچھا کر اپنے بھائی کو پکڑنے کی کوشش کرتا ہے۔

That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.

دونوں ہاتھ غلط کام کرنے میں ایک جیسے ماہر ہیں۔ حکمران اور قاضی رشوت کھاتے، بڑے لوگ متلوّن مزاجی سے کبھی یہ، کبھی وہ طلب کرتے ہیں۔ سب مل کر سازشیں کرنے میں مصروف رہتے ہیں۔

The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.

اُن میں سے سب سے شریف شخص خاردار جھاڑی کی مانند ہے، سب سے ایمان دار آدمی کانٹےدار باڑ سے اچھا نہیں۔ لیکن وہ دن آنے والا ہے جس کا اعلان تمہارے پہرے داروں نے کیا ہے۔ تب اللہ تجھ سے نپٹ لے گا، سب کچھ اُلٹ پلٹ ہو جائے گا۔

Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.

کسی پر بھی بھروسا مت رکھنا، نہ اپنے پڑوسی پر، نہ اپنے دوست پر۔ اپنی بیوی سے بھی بات کرنے سے محتاط رہو۔

For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.

کیونکہ بیٹا اپنے باپ کی حیثیت نہیں مانتا، بیٹی اپنی ماں کے خلاف کھڑی ہو جاتی اور بہو اپنی ساس کی مخالفت کرتی ہے۔ تمہارے اپنے ہی گھر والے تمہارے دشمن ہیں۔

Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

لیکن مَیں خود رب کی راہ دیکھوں گا، اپنی نجات کے خدا کے انتظار میں رہوں گا۔ کیونکہ میرا خدا میری سنے گا۔

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

اے میرے دشمن، مجھے دیکھ کر شادیانہ مت بجا! گو مَیں گر گیا ہوں تاہم دوبارہ کھڑا ہو جاؤں گا، گو اندھیرے میں بیٹھا ہوں تاہم رب میری روشنی ہے۔

I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

مَیں نے رب کا ہی گناہ کیا ہے، اِس لئے مجھے اُس کا غضب بھگتنا پڑے گا۔ کیونکہ جب تک وہ میرے حق میں مقدمہ لڑ کر میرا انصاف نہ کرے اُس وقت تک مَیں اُس کا قہر برداشت کروں گا۔ تب وہ مجھے تاریکی سے نکال کر روشنی میں لائے گا، اور مَیں اپنی آنکھوں سے اُس کے انصاف اور وفاداری کا مشاہدہ کروں گا۔

Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

میرا دشمن یہ دیکھ کر سراسر شرمندہ ہو جائے گا، حالانکہ اِس وقت وہ کہہ رہا ہے، ”رب تیرا خدا کہاں ہے؟“ میری اپنی آنکھیں اُس کی شرمندگی دیکھیں گی، کیونکہ اُس وقت اُسے گلی میں کچرے کی طرح پاؤں تلے روندا جائے گا۔

In the day that thy walls are to be built, in that day shall the decree be far removed.

اے اسرائیل، وہ دن آنے والا ہے جب تیری دیواریں نئے سرے سے تعمیر ہو جائیں گی۔ اُس دن تیری سرحدیں وسیع ہو جائیں گی۔

In that day also he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.

لوگ چاروں طرف سے تیرے پاس آئیں گے۔ وہ اسور سے، مصر کے شہروں سے، دریائے فرات کے علاقے سے بلکہ دُوردراز ساحلی اور پہاڑی علاقوں سے بھی آئیں گے۔

Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.

زمین اپنے باشندوں کے باعث ویران و سنسان ہو جائے گی، آخرکار اُن کی حرکتوں کا کڑوا پھل نکل آئے گا۔

Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

اے رب، اپنی لاٹھی سے اپنی قوم کی گلہ بانی کر! کیونکہ تیری میراث کا یہ ریوڑ اِس وقت جنگل میں تنہا رہتا ہے، حالانکہ گرد و نواح کی زمین زرخیز ہے۔ قدیم زمانے کی طرح اُنہیں بسن اور جِلعاد کی شاداب چراگاہوں میں چرنے دے!

According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”مصر سے نکلتے وقت کی طرح مَیں تجھے معجزات دکھا دوں گا۔“

The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf.

یہ دیکھ کر اقوام شرمندہ ہو جائیں گی اور اپنی تمام طاقت کے باوجود کچھ نہیں کر پائیں گی۔ وہ گھبرا کر منہ پر ہاتھ رکھیں گی، اُن کے کان بہرے ہو جائیں گے۔

They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee.

سانپ اور رینگنے والے جانوروں کی طرح وہ خاک چاٹیں گی اور تھرتھراتے ہوئے اپنے قلعوں سے نکل آئیں گی۔ وہ ڈر کے مارے رب ہمارے خدا کی طرف رجوع کریں گی، ہاں تجھ سے دہشت کھائیں گی۔

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

اے رب، تجھ جیسا خدا کہاں ہے؟ تُو ہی گناہوں کو معاف کر دیتا، تُو ہی اپنی میراث کے بچے ہوؤں کے جرائم سے درگزر کرتا ہے۔ تُو ہمیشہ تک غصے نہیں رہتا بلکہ شفقت پسند کرتا ہے۔

He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

تُو دوبارہ ہم پر رحم کرے گا، دوبارہ ہمارے گناہوں کو پاؤں تلے کچل کر سمندر کی گہرائیوں میں پھینک دے گا۔

Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

تُو یعقوب اور ابراہیم کی اولاد پر اپنی وفا اور شفقت دکھا کر وہ وعدہ پورا کرے گا جو تُو نے قَسم کھا کر قدیم زمانے میں ہمارے باپ دادا سے کیا تھا۔
